Like many stores nowadays, this one shows things online as In Stock, Pick Up Today. But when you drive all the way to the store, they don't have it in stock at all. Tried to call before leaving, but there was no answer. Then the young salesman tried to give me a bunch of made up reasons why the twice as expensive in-stock alternative was better, and the one I wanted would just break soon.

The 1 pound propane is being so for $7 99. each, where as at other stores in the area you can get 2 for $10.99.

Always a greeting and a smile when you enter. The willingness to help and go the extra mile is engrained at this location. My most recent experience involved ordering a grill and setting it as a next day delivery; instead I get a call within the hour of placing the order and informing me I can have it same day. 5* all around.

Ahh personalized assistance! Something one CAN'T get from the big box stores. Looked all over one of the big stores for a simple item today. Couldn't find it, or a knowledgeable store associate. Stopped into Ace here in Trussville for the first time and was directed right to what I needed!

I love this Ace Hardware. It is such a pleasure dealing with the employees are there after my many experiences at the local Lowe’s and Home Depot. In both of those big box stores, I spend much too much time wandering around, trying to find the products I need. If I find an employee willing to help me, and that’s not easy, I’m usually just directed to an aisle where I spend more time looking through two long lines of shelves, only sometimes find that I was missed directed.At Ace it is a totally different experience. Every time I have entered the store there has been an employee right there at the entrance asking me what products I’m looking for today. Once I’ve provided that information, they take me directly to the correct location and remain there to help me determine which of the selection of that product to buy.It may cost for at Ace Hardware then it would at the Lowe’s or Home Depot, I’ve never checked, but even as if it is more expensive, the service is well worth it . Employees at this location exemplify the slogan, “Ace is the place with the friendly hardware man“.

I stopped in to pick up some solution for my pressure washer. I was impressed by the cleanliness and organization. Additionally, the employees there were very kind, courteous and helpful. It’s my first stop when the man-chore list starts to pile up. Highly recommended.

One of the staff members, Patrick, was especially helpful in helping me find the items necessary to repair a piece of furniture I broke while my wife was out of town. I initially came in with an idea to repair a broken chair leg with 4 in. brass brackets. Patrick, proposed repairing the chair using a method I hadn't considered. He walked me through the repair process in-store and helped me think through the the process, making sure I felt confident to proceed before I left. He was knowledgeable and reassuring. I successfully repaired the broken chair leg using tools I had on hand to insert a 1/2 dowel and wood glue. Basically, I did an open-reduction and internal fixation (ORIF, for you medical folks) of the chair's leg. I will look for Patrick's assistance whenever visiting this location and I will be using the local ACE over the bigger box store whenever I can as a result of this customer service experience.

I love this store. The employees will help you with all your shopping and you never have to ask or go looking for them..They find you. They will even help you to your car. They have a lot of Christmas joy going on in this store. It was my first time there today. I will make this my Ace Hardware . It's such a pleasure to shop there!! Merry Christmas 🎅

Ace was our third stop looking for a Christmas tree. Beautiful, fresh trees that were priced cheaper than other places we looked. Young man who waited on us was very polite and helpful. We will be back next year! Would give this store 10 stars if I could.

I’ve shopped their a few times now and they are always so helpful and friendly. They great you at the door and help you find what you need. I just wish they had a bigger selection so I could get everything there. So much better than shopping at Lowes where it’s hard to find anyone to help you.

Good store. One young employee was trying to close up and was trying to rush my son up. He apologized later. We accepted his apology and kept shopping as quickly as we could. We were out of there before closing time. Overall, good store.

This is where you want to go to get your yard equipment. The staff knows there product and are eager to help you get the best value for your dollar. I get a discount at both Lowes and Home Depot, but this is where I would rather shop for lawn equipment.
