Stuart the owner of Magic City Computers is a true Renaissance Man !This guy can fix anything.He is sharp as a tack and honest to a fault.He will tell you if your computer is worth fixing or if you should buy a new one.He does memory upgrades and builds computers from scratch.An honest Christian with a good heartAnd always trying to do the right thing.I highly recommend his service.

Best computer store in town. Hands down! Stuart built my PC in 2016 and we just recently upgraded it. It runs so fast. I'm super excited to edit videos and photos on this machine!

He was super helpful and very nice. He got my laptop up and running in no time. He sells parts and accessories too, so when my dog ate my charging cable a couple of weeks after he fixed my computer, I was able to get a new one right then. He is definitely my go to computer guy from now on!

He kept my mom's laptop for over two weeks telling her he probably needed to order a battery...but never touched it to see what the issue was. I told her to bring it to me. I ordered and replaced the battery in two days and it is as good as new. Replacing the battery on a computer is as easy as changing the batteries the remote.Edit after 10/8 question about poor review...NO SERVICE should ever keep an item for two weeks and never touch it. If I, a novice, can order a part and fix something in one day...how is it reasonable to hold it for two weeks and never look to see if it was an easy fix, needed parts ordered...anything. If I could give ZERO STARS, I would because after a long wait...that is what I got...ZERO. HOBBIBLE SERVICE.

Although, a little ways away, outside of Springville, the service i received along with the Respect thats always given, more than makes up for the distance. When things started to once again become too difficult to understand, I was given easier to relate with information. Clearer suggestions, and much easier step-by-step instructions. While some places are lurking, eager to provide for some over priced services, and pushy suggestions to upgrade or persuaded to purchase unnessassary programs, software, or hardware, it felt really good to be reasured in already having what I needed. Convienced to have Trust and patience in it may be a different story. I highly suggest giving Magic City Computers an opportunity to provide you with a New&ImprovedExperience and a better opportunity to improve your needs. The feeling you will likely have while speaking with someone who truely KNOWS what they are talking about is amazing.

This has been one of the worst, most unprofessional encounters of my 35-year career. The work I asked to be done was shoddy and incomplete. I was charged for work that was not delivered. No attention to detailed requests were not honored. When questioned about the lack of excellence in his work, the owner flippantly puts you off. You are invited to come sit up front and pay to have someone work with you to restore files that you already paid to have restored. Purchased power cords do not fit the equipment. That which does fit no longer charges a perfectly fine working battery. A friend used his known working cord, and the battery will not charge anymore. If this company did not care to do the scope of work requested, the owner should have made this known to the client and I could continue my search. I feel my life has been breached and every necessary precaution has been taken by the proper authorities. This deal was a costly sham. My information is sitting on a hard drive and can't be transferred back to the computer as requested. He left that for me to do, but I paid him. I will have to pay thousands to have my information restored by a company of INTEGRITY. Please do not be fooled by the Christian symbols. Bottom line, in my opinion, this company has integrity and workmanship issues. I wholeheartedly and without reservations DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.Four years after this review was posted on Google, the owner responded with inuendo and lies. I did not include in the first review that an officer with the TRUSSVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT and my Spiritual Father showed up with me to pick up my items. I called both, because when I went back by myself, the atmosphere was filled with bad energy. The son, who worked in there, was nice, but guarded. It seemed to me his friendly personality was being stiffled by his father. I sensed danger, therefore I brought the authority with me and my Spiritual Father as a male support.Read for yourself, the owner's response. You can tell it is all made up. It comes from an unstable mind. They have no idea of my workplace. I worked remote before the pandemic made that an option for some. Therefore, there was no local person from my workplace to provide any kind of input to the owner about me. I stand on my word as a consummate professional. BEWARE.

I was in need of a desktop for my small business. I was looking for someone in the Trussville area when I came across Magic City Computers. From the time Stuart answered the phone I received Top Rate service!He built me a awesome desktop with better components for less money than I had been quoted by Dell or HP. . Plus you have Local access to tech support, personal service and buying local from a home owned company.Two days later my laptop went down, I took it to Stuart and he installed a new hard drive. Now it works better and faster than when I purchased it new.I have nothing but Positive things to say about the Stuart and his son. Awesome guys and amazing customer service!!!!!!!

I brought in a 7-month old HP laptop which had completely stopped working. Magic City (correctly) diagnosed that the motherboard was bad. I found a used motherboard for sale on EBAY (no new motherboards were available!) and M.C. installed it, and my laptop now works great again! The owner sold me an inexpensive used laptop which I used for the ~10 days my HP was just a 'laptop paperweight.' I could not be any more pleased with my multiple contacts with Magic City. I ALMOST NEVER write reviews, but their services were correct & honest, and they found the most inexpensive solutions possible, and NEVER tried to shake loose one dime more than they needed to from me. I think that's a rare statement to make these days.

nice people, simply overworked, they lied about delivery time, small stock of computer items, literally the only good thing about this store is there nice. if you need any pc parts go to best buy please or if you need a fix or a pc built do it yourself or hire a friend. i do not recommend these people as they wasted 3 days of my time, told me on the phone it would only take 1 hour to fix then when i got there they told me to wait a entire weekend to get my pc back. do not go to these people if you need a immediate fix

The owner took the time to help me with a computer memory issue I had been working on for over 5 months unable to resolve. Very generous with his time on the phone. He then got me the memory I needed and installed it the next day and let me double check it was installed right and recognized by Windows 7.He is honest and does what he says.

I've had them work on my computers SEVERAL times, in the past, and was always pleased with my service. I PURCHASED an ASUS Notebook Flip from them, that has Windows 8.1 on it... thinking I could update to the new Windows 10... but that is NOT the case the windows offer ENDED in JULY of 2016, and I purchased the computer in January of 2017. I spent MORE at the store than I would have spent for a similar notebook online.. hopeful of good service... and NOT being able to get the Windows 10 update is a TOTAL RIP OFF!!!

Great service and very reasonable prices! Walked in asked if it could be fixed after I fell on it, and within hours, same day return it was fixed as if nothing ever happened. Not one second did I feel like I was in the dark as to what was taking place. HONESTY AND HAS MY BUSINESS FROM NOW ON! As well as all referrals! Thank you again for fast honest service!

I also had a very, very bad experience. I spent $2500 for him to build a gaming computer. I ended up with a hunk of junk that didn't work. It kept freezing up and having problems from the moment I got it. He has no idea what he's doing. My parents had the same problem with him. I eventually had to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Alabama Attorney General's office to get my money back. He even ended up TAKING parts I originally paid for while he was taking the computer apart and attempting to fix the issues with new parts. He claimed he didn't, but what can you do? I ended up upgrading a standard, Dell computer from Best Buy and only spent $1700. Needless to say, I didn't have a single problem with Best Buy's computer other than a headphone jack eventually went out and needed to be replaced. This guy is a joke. Buyer (or person in need of repairs) beware!!!!So, this is the email I received the following day after I posted the review (and my response:)The owner: We have never had you as a customer and I don’t appreciate you leaving false reviews. You must have us confused with someone else and you have been reported to Google for reprimand. Feel free to call us and apologize when you get it straight and give the bad review to the right company next time.Me: Yes, I was your customer. I still have the cds and everything from that computer. Maybe, I could call the attorney general's office and better business bureau to get copies of my complaints. Heck, I keep so much old paperwork, I might still have it. Or, I could look in old emails for proof. You just lie, and lie, and lie. I even had you give me a copy of the paperwork that I had been refunded. My parents came in there with me as backup when you refused to give me my money back. Maybe, I should stop by so you can remember my face. I find it really hard to believe that you don't recall this fiasco...lol. Another update the afternoon after my review and his email: Now this psycho is calling my home phone. I mean, really??? If I wasn't your customer, how'd you have my home phone number, or are you just that insane?

Great Service. Came and dropped my laptop off and he was very upfront & direct on what he was going to do and the time he needed to do it. My laptop was fixed in a week & I would most definitely come again if anything else happens, THANKS MAGIC CITY COMPUTERS !!!

I took a laptop to this company for what should have been a minor repair...The laptop was returned damaged with a chip on the corner. Magic City Computers(MCC) did not own up to the damage and refused to rectify the issue. If you take any merchandise to this company, you better take a before and after picture of its condition. MCC does not have any policy in place to hold them accountable for the state they are receiving merchandise in. It will be your word against theirs...I do not recommend this company !!!

Well, again Magic city was the only one that came to rescue me.G--- Squad wanted 3 hours min. to sync my printer to my computer. @ $99.00 per hour Either take the tower to them. Or let them inside my comptuter via the net. Not going that route. Short story.sent a tec to my house, 45 minutes later fixed. yea. Great Job, again.

Bought a motherboard and after installing it, found out it was defective. Called the owner and they told me they could run a test to see what the problem was (I know what the problem was) so I asked for a refund of some sort and he said no refunds... I do not recommend.

What a train wreck, first he fixed one problem(Yeay), loses my charger(that he made me bring the day before mind you...because why would a computer repair place have a power cord on hand?!) then he got indignant and rude when I insisted he had the cord. So I get home (still no power cord) and now the computer runs worse than it did before! Beware

Awesome guys! Brought a scanner in for a software update, they couldn't get it to update either. Didn't charge me. Ended up staying and talking for half an hour or more. Very personable and knowledgeable!
