The best staff that Madison County has to offer! The reception you receive when you walk in the building is top notch! The care you receive for your fur babies and bed side manner for them is absolutely wonderful! Bella and Happy are furever grateful too❤️🐶

We used this vet to take our cat Tucker to for years. One weekend he stopped eating and we took him to the hospital where we unfortunately had to put him down. Countryside actually found out without us telling them and sent us a card with all the staff's signatures and condolences. They helped us manage Tucker's diabetes for years in his old age. Now my younger cat is under their care, and i am completely comfortable with that.

We needed a great place for our pups to stay over the weekend! I'm not sure they really wanted to leave Countryside! I have been told that they really loved doggy daycare, so we will definitely be back! Thanks for taking great care of our girls!

I absolutely love Countryside Veterinary Hospital! Last week my 5 year old cat was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, we immediately started pain meds due to her not being able to walk without a limp and being in pain she then just stopped peeing and we had to bring her in multiple times at one point we even had to bring my cat in at 5:30pm just 15 minutes before they closed at 5:45pm because she had gone almost 24 hours without peeing and the moment we walked in there was someone there to help us immediately they didn’t care what time it was or if they were about to close they just wanted to make sure my cat was okay! This is one of the best places you can take your animal to I could not recommend them more!

Countryside as a whole is a breath of fresh air versus the terrible experiences I’ve had at other vets in the area. Scheduling is easy, the reminders are perfectly spaced, and the attention to detail seems top notch.“Dr. Putman is the man!” - actual quote from my dog upon leaving Countryside

Countryside takes care of our two dogs and two cats. The boarding facility is nice and clean and the employees obviously care about their wards! The vets have always been kind and empathetic and offered reasonable treatment solutions.

I absolutely love Countryside! My husband and I have been taking our cats and dog here for about 10 years. Countryside and their staff are always so caring, compassionate, and accommodating. Our cat, Homer, had progressed into the advanced stages of kidney disease. I took him in every week for SQ fluids for almost a year. Hannah G., Homer's Vet Tech BFF, (the only person he would sit still for while getting his fluids, lol) was so sweet and always made sure she was available. Unfortunately, Homer's health took a turn for the worse. We made the tough decision to have him peacefully euthanized. Countryside let us take as much time as we needed with everything. We're so grateful we have them as our veterinarian practice.

Won't refill dogs prescription without a checkup. It feels like it's just a way to charge people more money. Dog has chronic illness and just trying to keep him comfortable during the end of his life.

I had to put my beloved dog down and they staff gave my wife and I the upmost respect and space we needed in the facility. It was private and it felt very calming. Our other dogs get the best of care and I couldn't ask for anything more.

Very informative staff. I called worried about my puppy (haven't had a young dog in a while), and even the receptionist was sweet and helpful.

Countryside saw my dog Oliver on short notice. They were so helpful and even sent a follow up hand written card which was so nice! My wife and I are so thankful for the countryside staff!Update: my wife had to take our dog bag for a skin issue and they said they looked at him for 5 minutes and gave him some ointment. Still charged for just seeing our dog and when she asked if she could have a cone for his head proceeded to say they would charge us. Just seems like they buckle and dimed us just a bit. There’s many vets in this area so perhaps check around if you are on a budget!

Edit: I’ve had to ask (third request) for my pets’ full records to be sent to my new vet a year after leaving. I didn’t realize that electronically transferring records was so difficult.I have always loved Countryside. Their vets and staff are generally great. I’ve been a client for five and a half years. Recently, however, my 14 year old inside dog - who has severe arthritis- was denied a pain medication refill because he is less than a month late on his rabies vaccination and heart worm shot. Newsflash - I work long hours and can’t always be there to accommodate their schedule.I have serious concerns about the ethics of that. We are frequent flyers there so it’s not like we’re never there or they’ve not seen my dog in years. They see him on a regular basis. They did later begrudgingly offer enough pain meds to get him to the appointment I was then expected to make - but, again, I’m bothered by their “carrot and stick” approach for a regular client.Denying an old dog pain medication to force compliance is a huge NO for me.

These are the sweetest people I've ever known. I took my dog in the office, as a walk in. My dog was scared and I was scared too. The vet and the technicians were very helpful and easy our fears. The tests were run on my dog Rather quickly and we were informed that Our dog would be fine. we were given medication andas quickly as we got there we were back out the door in no time.I very highly recommended this Veterinary Hospital to everyone.

Decent price. Been going whenever my dogs need yearly shots. Do got all dog Canine DNA tested. All my dogs are American Staffordshire Terriers. Can register my pups as ESA. That's important to me.

Dr. Moss and all other staff I've met here have been extremely professional and very kind to my dog. Boarding and grooming services are a great amenity to have close to home, especially at a place where I know my pup is in good hands.

Less than 0 stars!!!! The quality of care is not good!!! I feel like every time I take my pet here, something goes wrong!! A long time ago, my pet had an anal gland rupture, and they put the ointment in his ears instead of his anal gland sacs. We had to turn around and drive all the way back just get it done right, and it took a month to get that oiliness out of his ears. More recently, my pet had a dental there, they were supposed to call me before any extractions were done. They didn’t. Long story short, the manager said they called the wrong number instead of mine “by accident” twice, and went along with the extractions. You can imagine my surprise when I finally got a phone call saying how many teeth were extracted and no one called me. I didn’t think I would have to pay for something I didn’t authorize, but that didn’t matter that they called the wrong number by mistake. I still have to pay for THEIR mistake. Their staff can’t pull blood either. They had to stick him ALL OVER SEVERAL TIMES. Both his legs were shaved, and his jugular vein was severely bruised. He came home all wet and absolutely STUNK. I’m like, WHAT!! Like I said, the quality of care is absolutely Terrible!!! Don’t take your pet here!! I doubt I’ll ever be going back!!

I don’t usually make posts like these but I feel that I need to share this information so that other pet owners do not have the same thing happen to them.On Saturday morning at 8:15 my Westie (8 months old) started having what looked like head tremors/seizures. I immediately called the Countryside Vet and explained what was happening. They told me it sounded like an ear infection and that they couldn’t see her until Monday. I knew something was wrong, so I called Rocket City. They told me they could see me at 9:15. I got there at 8:50 in hopes they could see how bad she was and that they would take her immediately. Upon seeing her, they said she had a very high fever (104) and that she was not having seizures. They tested her for an ear infection and it came back positive. Then, they wanted to do blood work. They said it would only take 10-15 minutes minutes. About 30 minutes later the nurse came back and said that the blood work was done and the doctors were going to look at it. Meanwhile, Maizie was continuing to have what I still believed was seizures. At 11:30, the doctor finally came back. She explained that Maizie’s white blood cell count was extremely high and that she was critical. I asked what they could do and she said that didn’t have the staff to help her, because they close at 12. Meanwhile, I had been there since 8:50. She gave me a $310 bill and said to go to an emergency clinic that she needs an IV. I begged the doctor to give her something to help her until we got there and she would not. I called Dr. Galbraith in Pulaski (my sister told me he would know what to do) and explained to him what I had just experienced. He said to get Maizie to him ASAP and that he would stay with her day and night until she was better. After 2 hours of being at his office, he had given her multiple shots, hooked her up to an IV, took feces samples, and had plans to take urine samples. He was extremely upset that Maizie had not received any of the care that she needed. He explained that she was having involuntary seizure-like episodes. He also said that as soon as Rocket City saw her fever and blood work they knew they could do nothing for her and that she should’ve been dismissed immediately. Instead, she was left to sit in pain in my lap for 3 hours. Maizie has been in his care ever since. As of Saturday night at 12:00, her seizures had stopped, but her WBC count is still high. Dr. Galbraith is hoping she can return home tomorrow. Had I listened to countryside, Maizie would not have made it. Rocket City allowed my dog to sit in pain and did nothing to help her. I will never be back at either of these clinics.Prayers for my sweet Maizie, as she is still very sick.

We waited(almost a yr) to post our review because we could NOT believe how nice they were during our first few visits, we were sure it was a fluke(no business can be these nice). Here we are now, about a year later, our (1yr old corgi/7yr old G. Pyrenees/12yr old beagle) girls could not be in better hands. They have proof time after time again that they are here to make sure your babies are as healthy as possible and living their best lives. They are the absolute best!!!

We love this place. We board our 6 year old RottieShepard mix here whenever we travel. They take really good care of the animals, and they will even give them a bath before going home for a small additional charge. We even took him here for an emergency appointment after he got sick at another boarding facility. They were able to get our fur baby healthy again, and we haven't had any issues since we started boarding him here. They have 3 different types of accommodations for your pet. Indoor run, indoor/outdoor run, and a suite, which is the largest "room" that can accommodate up to 2 pets if needed. I highly recommend checking them out they are awesome and reasonably priced. They also have doggie day care.

Always a great experience here. The experience is part of the culture. I always see new faces when I visit but the experience remains the same. Friendly staff, they are absolutely great with our fur babies and the costs for service are very reasonable. My pets are always excited to visit!

I've had two bad experiences here. 1.5 years ago, my dog wasn't feeling well. We took him in for a full exam/xray/bloodwork. It was determined he had a tumor on his spleen. The woman we initially dealt with said we had two options: surgery or euthanasia. We were told there was a chance it was cancer, but they wouldn't know until they got inside. The woman told us there was about a 30% chance it would be okay and he could get better. So to give him a fighting chance, we went with surgery. During the surgery, the vet called us to let us know it was a massive tumor(he was quoted saying it was the biggest he had ever seen in that spot) that was filled with cancer and it had spread to all the surrounding tissue. We had him euthanized on the table. My problem is...if it was the biggest they've ever seen, that is something they would have seen on the xrays. I should have been informed of how massive the tumor was and how unlikely it was that this is something that could have been fixed. I truly believe I was led into false hope so they could get extra money. All in all, I was charged about $1200 for everything and put my baby through more trauma than need be.A few months back, I had a rescue rabbit who was ill. I called this place asking for euthanasia prices. I was quoted $195...FOR A RABBIT EUTHANASIA. I was so shocked I couldn't speak. Ended up taking her to my regular vet, after begging them to take me in that day, and paid $19.I feel this place is bottom line money-grabbers. I've rescued my entire life, I've been to hundreds of vet visits and I've been to every vet in the surrounding area. I fully understand treatments and vet visits cost money, I know it's expensive. But this place is ridiculous. There was also blood splatter on the floor from a previous animal when we did the first visit with my dog. He licked it before I realized what it was. Which is potentially dangerous. The office staff were incredibly nice, which is why I'm giving three stars. Everyone was very kind and empathetic when I was in there bawling my eyes out. Overall very clean, other than the blood splatter.
