This store is the BEST! It was clean inside and out... The workers were very attentive and greeted us and were quick to help us find items and to immediately check us out at register. They were steadily stocking and checking in vendors while we were there but never skipped a beat to help us. All the items where in correct place and all pricing and sale signs were posted and up to date... These employees deserve a big GREAT JOB! and bonus for doing such a fine job... Best in Chilton County Alabama... I told them all THANK YOU but in case they don't get said to them enough I'll say it again... THANK YOU!

Yesterday I needed to make a return of a heater to my local Dollar General Store. Prior to attempting the return yesterday, I took the heater to a different location on my way home from work but didn't have the receipt. The manager at the first location told me that I would need to take it back to the store where I purchased it and that store(#12835) would be able to access the transaction in their system and match it with my bank card. When I took the item to my local store(#12835) yesterday, the manager / assistant manager was extremely rude, disrespectful and overtly racist. She immediately told me, "It can't be returned without a receipt". She wouldn't even allow me to explain what was wrong with the heater that I was returning. She then lied to me about the return policy, saying "Dollar General does not accept returns without a receipt", then adding," the store stop doing returns without receipts due to theft and customers returning bags of phone chargers". I attempted to explain how I was instructed by a Dollar General Manager at another store to make the return at the store(#12835) where item was purchased. She responded with, "I don't know why they would tell you that, if they do that they will get in trouble and I'm not going to get in trouble".At this point the Dollar General employee is yelling and screaming at me in the store. I told her that I would go home and do a thorough search for the receipt, her response was "I'm done with you and you will not be able to return the heater", she then slammed something and stormed off as the long line of customers watched.After being totally disrespected by the Dollar General employee, I decided to leave, go home and thoroughly search for the original receipt. I eventually found the receipt and return to the store when there was a new shift of Dollar General employees present. I was able to make the return without any problem except for the fact that the funds have still not been credited back to my bank. I've made returns at Dollar General in the past and the funds were credited back to my bank before I even left the store.While the return transaction was being made by a new employee, she spoke out loud the steps she was taking to the other Dollar General employee who was training her. The very first step during the return process asked her "WITH OR WITHOUT RECEIPT?"This was not the first encounter that I've had with the disrespectful, dishonest, racist employee. I'm not the only customer that she has mistreated( I've witnessed her unprofessional behavior multiple times towards other customers) there have also been Neighbors who refuse to go to that store because of the mistreatment they received from this employee.

The workers at the Dollar General are really nice and respectable. I know personally that they go out of their way to make sure that the customer is satisfied and treated really well. I appreciate all that they do and have the up most respect for all workers that deal with the public and those that have to deal with some of the rudest people that you could ever imagine. Keep it up workers and God Bless......

Store seems clean but when we were at the registers waiting the cashier just looked at us then started doing something else so we went to the self checkout. When we walked away, she asked the next person in line if they were ready to check out.

The Dollar Gerneral store in Thorsby got a much needed make over. Aisles are bigger. There are no products littering the floor. It's clean and the shelves are well stocked.I had to learn the store's layout all over again but it's worth it.Staff is pretty nice.I have Whiplash Syndrome and can't lift my neck up too much. So, the woman working the register went to find the headphones I was looking for.I took a star off because of the price discrepancies. I'm on a strict budget. Every penny counts.For instance: Gatorades were $1.00. We got 10 along with other items. My mom asked the cashier, "These are $1.00, right?" Cashier said, "Yes."When we got home, we looked at the receipt. They had charged $1.20 per bottle.Same with chips and cans of dog food.This is the one area that needs to be corrected.If an item is on sale and advertised as $1.00, it should be $1.00.These discrepancies add up.Otherwise, I love the new make over.

The employees are extremely rude. They profile customers according to appearance. My friend and I went into the store one day to purchase a few items and they followed him around the store. They kept making comments about people stealing. He had just got off of work. He is a construction worker and was dirty from work. They treated him as if he was going to shoplift all because he appeared to be someone that he was not. It was extremely rude. I refuse to shop there anymore!

They did not have pricing on anything in the store. Had baskets marked at 50% off with no prices original prices on the items, the at check out said items were not the ones on sale. Very upsetting to wait and gather merchandise only to have them say it's not the things on sale. Very dissatisfied with this DG store will not shop there again.

The store is always in some sort of post apocalyptic looking disarray. At least 7/10 visits require met to make an additional trip to the neighboring town just to get milk, eggs, burger and breakfast meat. I do mist of my shopping at Family Dollar in Jemison and only use this store as a last resort.

They have a good selection of merchandise. It looks alot better since it was renovated and now its not so cluttered. The staff is friendly and fast. Theres also a self checkout if you find yourself in a hurry.

They never have anything i am looking for and it's always cluttered with nothing put up. The staff is usually pretty nice but there aren't ever enough employees there to help you or check out. It takes forever

The store in thorsby, alabama is totally unbelievable. Shelves not stocked, inventory still in boxes all in the isles, preventing people from getting around properly.feet sticking to the floors from spills, just dirty in general. Needs assistance. It was not a good experience for my shopping. I left to go somewhere more pleasant. And the lady working also made the comment to try and delay the truck from coming for a week. Need checking into. Don't usually report things like this but this store is awful.

This store is very busy but has very little employees. I stopped by today and 12 people were in line and only 1 cashier. I traveled to Jemison to make my purchase so you missed another purchase. Please get more help for this store because I would rather spend money in my city than traveling somewhere else. Thank you.

Great store location with ample parking. The isles are a bit packed, but the store is generally relatively clean. The employees are helpful if you can find one.

Thorsby dollar store, well I've been going to this place ever since the 1st day they opened, I recently have a problem w/ manager named Mariah, she is suppose to run the register while ppl shop, instead she's to busy following me around thinking I'm going to steal!! She's done this to a few ppl I know. Yes they need more ppl, yes there isles are full, staff is rude. All of them. I have not encountered a nice one yet! I shop everyday at the dollar store in thorsby, I spend any where from a hundred a week sometimes more.. I will start spending my money in jemison or clanton, I know they do not follow you down every isle. I will record the manager Mariah next time, I will show everyone how poorly she treats her customers!

The shelves were a mess. Very unorganized. Stock in the floors everywhere. Many different categories of stock mixed on shelves everywhere. Store personnel understaffed, long waiting time for shoppers with few items.

Every food item I have bought from the Thorsby store has been out of date by a few months. I bought some candy on 7/3 and it went out of date in March
