This was so cool! It's one of the best shooting grounds you'll ever find. The course gives you 100 shots in a round, some easy and some impossible. The guides were fun and patient in teaching and helping us get better. I would love to do this again.

Great people and beautiful location. Sprawling facility that is a great place to shoot a fun and challenging round of clays or five stand. They've got some nice shotguns and gear in the store. Everything needed for clays and even fly fishing. We had a corporate event there and I went back to shoot with the family. Incredible service every time!

My wife and I had a amazing time there. I’ve shot before, but my wife had never done this before. Recommend highly if you are a beginner, don’t let the facility intimidate you. Great course, even better people. Steve was our gunner/trapper and he was very patient and made the experience better than expected. Wil definitely be back.

Recently, my accuracy in the field had dropped off tremendously. I saw the ad for Pursell in Covey Rise and decided on the two day training with an instructor for the sporting clays and in the field .Chuck Baker was with me the entire two days building up my lost confidence and transforming my performance. I am very grateful for his keen observations and his ability to communicate the necessary steps to improve my form. I am so impressed by Pursell Farms in general that I will be back and bring my family as well.

Being from California I flew into Birmingham, Alabama. Purcell Farm is in Sylacauga, Alabama, about 50+ miles southeast of Birmingham. An easy hour or so drive from the airport. I had signed up for the 2 day wing shooting class in October, 2022. Normally the instructor/student ratio is 3 or 4 to 1. I was fortunate to be the only student for the class. My instructor was Chuck Baker, Chief Wing Shooting Instructor for Orvis. Chuck combines his easy going style with solid classroom and range instruction. I learned more about shooting shotguns in 2 days than the knowledge I had acquired in over 60 years of shooting and hunting. The facilities are world class. I can highly recommend Chuck and the Shooting Grounds at Purcell Farm. I'm looking forward to a return visit.

Our company had a clay shoot benefiting Children’s of Ala. and we were extremely please with all that ORVIS did for our customers during the event. Our customers had a great time & said the staff was extremely helpful. I appreciated all the special service they gave to or customers and for Thomas Oil company in raising money for Children’s.
