I was looking for a dog stopped by Baldwin co shelter. Walked in everyone was helpful .Amber took me to look at the dogs ,Amber knows all about the dogs and help me find Alice renamed Amy I instantly fell in love with her . It’s been a week and I would adopt her all over again thank you to everyone at Baldwin county animal shelter. I would also like to thank the person or organization who paid my adoption fee. Thank you to all.

I took our 3, Pekingese, Mini Schnauzer & Great Pyrenees, and it cost less than taking 1 for an office visit. And tDoc was a sweetie was a plus. :)

Took my Sophi to the rabies vaccine clinic they had Saturday and it was great. The Veterinarian administering the shots was nice another wonderful lady held Sophi's leash so I could keep her attention while the shot was administered in like 10 seconds! Sophi didn't even care lol

All staff were very inviting and helpful. A very nice girl took us around to see all the dogs and was very knowledgeable on their personality. She was very patient with us trying to decide and brought 2 dogs we were interested in, to the play yard, so we could see how they would interact with us.The kennels were clean and there was no smell and with so many dogs, a miracle at best. We were so impressed! Congratulations to all the staff for their job well done!

Kind, knowledgeable, loving, and caring staff! Everything was included. Microchip, rabies, spay, shots, and a neat little goodie bag!🐶 We're very happy with our newest addition and so is she💜

This clinic will turn you away when you try to bring in strays that need help. They will give you a useless 1inch piece of paper with useless numbers on it.The entire county is terrible when it comes to helping with stray animals. The facility looks great, maybe the money is being allocated incorrectly because it surely isn't going to making it easy to help animals.

The staff are very rude and horrible about coming up and picking straight animals. I have called several times and have phone records showing that I have called. Then they lie and say they came out and there was no dogs. It really is pathetic to have such a nice facility and still can't do your job.

I came in to get a companion for my dog and was extremely pleased with their patience and understanding of what I was looking for. We love our Daisy Boo !!

I adopted Beverly last year for half price :) Our vet understood the shelter's vaccination records. They're good to take anywhere. Somehow, Beverly acquired a long scar down her back from either being a stray, being trapped, or at the shelter, because it was a fresh wound on a beautiful dog. Her fur did not re-grow over the darkened and healed skin.They didn't show me her behavior with other dogs, though. As soon as I got her on walks, she was aggressive with no leash manners :( I had to shock-collar rehabilitate her, and it was the only thing that worked. Training took a month. She's excellent off-leash now and is the best traveling companion :)

We had to call them out for a stray that wandered up that was not in good condition and they were here within the hour. They were kind and compassionate.

my mom found her a sweet little buddy his name is Ben ,my dad passed away a week before christmas 2018 so after his funeral , me and my daughter my niece and my mom's caregiver and Mom , went to the animal shelter we looked at every one of the dogs she picked out Ben he was very quiet and he was smaller than the other dogs she was looking for something small and that was all they had at the time , my mom is terrified of the weather and we didn't know at the time that Ben he's terrify the rain & weather so they both are a match Ben keeps her from being lonesome. His 4 ever home!!!❤🐶🐕 As of 8-29-2019 Ben loss his 4 ever mom that he care so much for he still gets in his place where he always sleep next to my mom in bed, but me and my daugther&son & husband will contion loving him ,but she will always be in on our minds and heart. RIP we love you mother Ben will be taking care of until he joins you! ❤😇

My dog ran off and was picked up by animal control. I was told by some neighbors when I was out looking for him that the woman who picked him up even spent some time driving around looking for his owners.They were very nice and the fee was minimal and covered a shot he needed. I was so worried when I couldn't find him but thankfully he was in good hands, safe and sound with the wonderful staff at the animal shelter.

The way the bulldog adoption was handled was terrible. Those of us who had been there since 0510 and followed the deputies' instructions were out of luck. The two women who argued with the deputy, and later jumped the line to be first to sign the sheet were awarded the dog. When someone politely told the worker what happened and we had been waiting for hours, she said..I don't care. She was rude and condescending. I asked if there was interviewing to find a good fit for the dog. She said I'll say again the first person will be offered the dog. Then we will go down the line. Its a shame the worker doesn't realize that bracycelphatic dogs have certain needs. Also a smoker is not a good fit. The experience was disheartening and saddening.

Picked up our 9 week old kitten today. We had bed, lots of toys ready for her arrival. It was impressive how clean the facility was when looking for a fur baby. The kittens were out of the large clean kennels and out in a room so we could interact with all. The employee that took me to see them was super nice and handling each kitten to show. There was also a helpful volunteer that comes in to have human interaction with the animals. Once home our new family member was loving and curious about the toys. I highly recommend adoption from this shelter .

These are are such nice people to a dog or cat from. They are very caring about the animals that come to their shelter. I got my sweet baby from there and just love so much and shows love back. Thank you Baldwin County Animal Shelter. If you want to donate to something donate to them, they will appreciate it very much.

They allow unwatched dogs to keep going in neighbors yards and kill their dogs!! Their excuse is because they are owned!!! If they are owned then why are they going into other people's yards, killing pets. Shame on you. The sheriff even wanted you to take them

They were great. Clean place. But I saw the vet that my previous pet passed away froms name on some of the dogs. He should be taking better care of paying clients than free work.He does not do justice to pets. I know it is nice to donate his time. But I got turned off and rescued a dog from Pensacola due to that.

There should be a negative star review option. The staff is horrible. Found this sweet young stray dog back in April. Tried numerous times to take him up there and was turned away several times in the course of 2 weeks. Was never given any information on where else to take him even though I asked many times. Made a post on their lost and found page on day one as well. After 2 weeks I made another post with the updated information about him that I was able to track down myself after calling every vets office in baldwin county and pleading for information on where else I could take him as all of the shelters in my area could not help me. They responded to my second post with an outrageous amount of slander and rude comments from their admin Heather Moore (who later deleted her posts after taking it way over the line.) I continued to foster the dog until I financially couldn't anymore. All the while receiving the same question from the admin on whether or not I had reunited him with his family, which a responded with "No still searching." She liked all of the posts I made saying that I still hadn't found the owners. I finally was able to find a woman at save a stray in mobile where they agreed to take him in. She later asked me again if I had reunited him with his owner where I simply replied with the updated information on where he was. She then deleted my post and blocked me from their site. The same thing happened to a friend of mine. She was also met by rude remarks and slander from these people. If they can't take them in they threaten to kill other animals to "make room" for them if you can't keep them. They also continue on telling you how many animals they kill each day because they are full. I did the research. These people haven't euthanized a single living creature in over 2 years. They are horrible people and I wouldn't let an animal within a 20 mile radius of Heather Moore.

My daughter found a stray dog who had a collar but no ID tags. When she called the Baldwin County Animal shelter in Summerdale, Gina showed up in less than five minutes and took the dog to the shelter. (They found the dog's owner that same afternoon!) Having a nice, friendly person show up right away, eager and willing to help the animals of Baldwin County, is just incredible.(It does make me wonder why the city of Bay Minette's animal control department--which serves a much smaller area--has a response time somewhere between six hours and not-in-this-lifetime, and when they do finally show up, they seem miffed that they've been imposed upon to do their job. Maybe the nice folks at the Summerdale shelter could teach others how it's done...?)

About a year and a half ago my pitbull Bella ended up here and spent several weeks. She was family and nothing less to me. She was sick and they took such good care of her. I thought I had lost her forever and when I went to them and they let me see her she was nothing but happy. Her medical bills covered 2 papers long and well over 300 dollars. I figured I would have to leave her and come back Monday with money. She wasn't getting better and they said she hadn't been that happy the entire time they had her and let me take her home and didn't charge a penny of her medical expenses. I ended up having to put her down a year ago January 19th at her vet because of her condition being unfixable but these people would get 100 stars if I could it to them. Thank you
