This animal hospital is absolutely one of the best animal hospitals in the U.S. They are so sweet, so attentive, so personal and caring. They give up their lunch breaks for emergencies. Their staff deals with grief of pets gracefully and respectfully. They are very reasonably priced all the time. They are so incredibly knowledgeable and help you become educated on your individual pets needs. I’ve boarded my pets here and they are so caring. They remember me and all my pets by name, and I have way too many pets lol.. I trust this animal hospital with my pets life. Just know that if you bring an animal into this hospital, all of the staff already love that animal. They will take good care of your fur babies.

All of the front office staff, vet techs and vets are wonderful. They have seen us through the loss of 2 of our family dogs, showing a great deal of care and compassion. They have also been great when we have added new puppies to our family, ensuring they get their vaccines and preventative tests when needed. All staff are always friendly and professional, there to answer any questions and concerns we have had regarding our pets. They have a great deal of experience with French Bulldogs, and I wouldn’t take our 2 frenchies anywhere else.I temporarily switched vets years ago only due to location, but the vet that was closer to my new home did not provide the same amount of care and understanding of my French Bulldog’s needs when it came to his epilepsy. I brought my baby back to Smiths Station Animal Hospital as soon as I moved back to Alabama, and they have cared for all 4 of our babies since, for about 7-8 years now. I could not recommend them enough!

Staff is so sweet and helpful. They are also affordable and provided us with at least an estimate and what to expect at our visit. We had an emergency, and they were so understanding and quick to fit us in. Unfortunately, our pet didn't make it to the appointment, but when we called to cancel, it was no problem, and they were very empathetic. We're switching all our pets over to them now!

I had a magnificent experience. The service was great. When I was turned down at another animal clinic, stating my dog was aggressive, SSAH welcomed my dog with open arms. Services were rendered without sedation per a male Veterinarian in Phenix City. These ladies rock! I recommend them any day.

The staff are very helpful when it comes to my dog reactive German Shepherd. They make sure the lobby is clear for me to enter. The vet was very thorough and made sure I knew what the cost was before I committed to anything. I would definitely recommend them!

Love this place. Front desk staff are always super friendly. Vet techs assist outstandingly. I adore Dr. Namie for her knowledge and kindness. She is understanding of not only my cats conditions but also regards how I'm feeling while I'm there. I trust my fur babies to no one else.

Each and every visit I have had with Smiths Station Animal Hospital has been wonderful. The staff is excellent with my pup and has taken the extra steps needed to ensure he gets the proper care for his breed. They also spoil him with loves and hugs and my pup couldn't be more happier when we visit with his friends at the vet!Update: Still the best people for my dog!

Took our 1 year old cat in for a possible urinary track infection and we got him back in a black plastic bag because they gave him to much sedatives. Still had to pay the $1,600 so we can get our cat back and bury him.

My two dogs have been going to Smiths Animal Hospital for years and I have never had a bad experience. In fact, my dogs love going there. Both dogs have received excellent, professional care at each visit. When you are out of town, you want your pets to get the best treatment available. The best Veterinarian Office anywhere around. They have been absolutely amazing and have taken the very best care of our babies, they have been proactive in treating our dog and have handled her with the utmost care. She is very anxious and does not do well with being poked, they always treat her with love, affection and respect. I can not say enough good about this practice, from the office manager, to the techs, the front office staff and the doctors, they truly care about your pet and go above and beyond to ensure you understand what is happening. Our family loves them and will be lifelong patients.

This was my first visit with my dog, Molly, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Both the tech and the doctor took time to speak with me in so much detail, to make sure that Molly was taken care of. You can tell that they really care and aren’t trying to rush you out of there. We have been taking our pug to Smith Stations Animal Hospital since she was 5 weeks old! She always receive the best care and is excited to go there! She is now almost 15 years old and I trust them with all of her care! They are amazing and we would recommend you take you first babies there!

Overall service was fine. They are expensive however. After having an annual done for 1 of our dogs I tried to get a prescription from them for flea and tick medicine so that I could send it to Chewy and actually pay a reasonable price. I was told there was a 10 dollar fee to get a prescription. Absolutely ridiculous. Any way to pinch more money from people. We tried them out as a test but will never be going back.*** Response from the owner is that everyone else charges for something so they will too. Also the only reason I need a paper prescription is because they dont work with Chewy electronically. Probably on purpose so they can charge for the prescription. I would then have to pay for the envelope and the postage on top of the prescription.

My cat has had issues with stress and aniexty lately and I was super worried about her, I am very pleased with the services I recieved from this animal clinic. My tech was Ashley, and she was very caring and polite. The doctor was also super sweet and I could really tell they cared about the wellbeing of my furbaby. I highly recommend this animal hospital.

My grandma used SSAH for years so when I got a puppy I decided to take her there. I completely agree with another reviewer the vet techs were all super friendly and great with my pup. However, the vet did not explain what vaccines my puppy had gotten and didn’t seem interested in giving me detailed answers to some of my questions. Both of those things I can overlook and move on, but what I cannot overlook is that they have a high markup on the vaccines, you are much better off going to “Affordable veterinary services” off veterans pkwy in Columbus, they have friendly staff (to include the vet) and reasonable prices they even include 1 free month of flea, tick, and heart worm medication.

Smiths Station Animal hospital, is amazing! My 3 year old blue pit was their patient. They managed to setup an urgent visit and do an exam on my puppy. The staff was extremely professional and courteous. The lobby and exam rooms were exceptionally clean and they took upmost care when handling my pet. They met us at the truck with a rolling table because he was unable walk. The care and compassion we received from them was amazing. I will be sure to use them for my other two puppies, and have full trust that they will provide the best care and advise for my pets. Thank you for everything!

I have been using this veterinary office for 2 years now and will continue to go back with my two large dogs. The veterinarian technicians that I deal with are always knowledgeable, helpful and wonderful with my pets. I first came here during covid because it was right in the center of Smiths Station and much closer to my house. I have never had a problem getting through to a live person nor do I feel all alone in caring for my animals. This vet's office is always clean and child friendly. I find the prices to be very competitive and am able to get everything in one location. I recommend this practice to anyone in the area who is looking for a strong veterinarian backup team! :-)
