O stars if it was allowed. Prices are way higher than Walmart on groceries & food is either stale or dumpster worthy. Cashiers will sit there and talk to each other in the middle of checking out a customer. I only shop here if I'm in a bind & forget something at a real quality grocery store.

Usually the fish is delicious but the day I went it wasn't it was like it had been there all day I went close to lunch thinking the food would be fresh

They have good deals but you must fully read their sales paper or you will have a wasted trip. You really have to watch their Meats. A lot of it will make you very sick if you eat it. You can tell because it looks almost like it is cooked but it is bad, almost rotted. They do have some good meat but you have to be able to see all the meat. If there is part you can't see, it is bad. All your other products are good and usually the same price or better than Walmart.

This store has all the basic necessities required to make a meal & is conveniently located. They also have a Sandwich Shop inside the store. Open 7 days a week.

Would rate 0 star if I could, went today for Wednesday special for the deli 16 piece dark chicken for 9.99. They tell me I have to order in advance, in the past this never happened. Even the add did mention order in advance. Sorry customer service in the Deli!

Convenience is their only positive attribute. From expired products to rotten produce I’ve seen and bought it all. They buy garbage and sell it at premium. This was in date sugar hard as a brick. The product quality mirrors the attitude of the employees. To be employee owned they sure don’t care about working or having anything remotely close to a friendly attitude.

Prices are ridiculous anymore and the cashiers are really young and rude. There may be a few good cashiers there sometimes, but rarely. If I can shop anywhere else for cheaper groceries I will. This is my last resort.

Food Giant in Slocomb has to be the BEST local grocery store within 100 miles. The manager, Phil Wood, will stop at nothing to ensure you’ve had a pleasant shopping experience. Smitty, the assistant manager always has a story and a great attitude to make everyone feel welcome. When you shop at the Food Giant in Slocomb, you’re shopping with friends. Don’t believe me? Stop in and ask for either Phil or Smitty. They will stop at nothing to help everyone!

I travel from a surrounding city to shop here. I really appreciate how clean, organized and well stocked you guys keep your store. Your deli department is great as well as the women who work there. Produce is beautifully displayed and your cashiers are friendly and fast. Even the parking lot is well kept.

The food counter in this store is AWESOME. GREAT COOKS. Whatever you're craving at lunch is probably ready and waiting. Staff is nice and the store is owned by it's employees, which translates to NO lazy people working. You may have a little line to stand in, but it moves quick and is well worth the wait.

Have always been well stocked and the prices are good. Haven't tried anything from the bakery yet, but it smells delicious.Update after a couple years of patronage. Deli food is delicious. Fried chicken has a great taste and crunch. Prices for the groceries are a bit higher than in Dothan, but for a quick trip they're ok.

Extremely nice place to go to buy groceries! It says that it is employee owned and this translates to the cleanest, most well stocked, and friendliest grocery store that I have experienced in a long time; most likely ever!!My wife and I were really glad that we stopped in!Highly Recommended!!

The Food Giant deli has awesome food for a great price! $9.98 for 16 piece mixed fried chicken! All of the employees were courteous and the store was very well maintained in every aspect. It was clean as well as very well stocked. You're always greeted as you come into the door and thanked whenever you begin to leave. All of the prices are pretty decent too. I love that the sign our front says it's "100% Employee Owned". I honestly think that makes all the difference! I'll definitely stop back in whenever I go back to Slocomb!

There customer service went above an beyond and other grocery store I've EVER went to. It was a very laid back I was able to actually enjoy grocery shopping with my 4 year old an 4 month old!!! I will definitely be grocery shopping here more often!! Prices where great also!

Clean and friendly locally owned store with good variety of selections to choose from and food from deli is good. However, it's a little overpriced. Unless you buy their store brand options or what may be on sale at the time they will make you pay out of the butt for name brands forcing people with limited income to buy their brand

Been to the deli on two separate occasions on Sunday. The website says it closes at 9, the first time it closed at 6:50pm and the second time at 5:40. You should change the info on the website if your not gonna stick to it.
