A really nice Dollar General, with an expanded grocery section. Tiffany and Nancy are really sweet, too! This store is not only bigger and better staffed, but it seems cleaner and more spacious, too. Just be sure to look at the dates on foods, sometimes there’s expired stuff on the shelves. Not as bad as the other dollar stores in the area, but I’ve found a few things here and there.

Called SEVERAL times, thought the phone didn’t work, so I walk in the store, CALL, and the phone RANG!!!! The 2 workers stood there. My purpose for the call was buying an expired pizza that expired 5 FIVEEEEE months ago!!! I did get a refund but my child ate half a piece before he said it was disgusting. He’s 4, so he got into trouble for not even finishing one piece once he stayed on me about “starving” while I was cooking. Then I realized it was expired. 0stars for me. Lazy workers, and ridiculous.

Visited the store on 07/28. Dollar general had 105 ct. Gain dryer sheets on sale with digital coupon for $1.95. Great deal. The digital coupon was not listed and I explained the situation to the cashier, and manager. The manager told me I was in a metal shed and my cell phone may not get a good reception inside. She asked me to go outside and let my list update. Well, I was using the stores free wifi (which is awesome btw). The manager informed me she could not honor the price that I showed her in the weekly ad. Fine. I drove to the Robertsdale location on highway 90 and they had no problem honoring the ad price. Will not be shopping in Silverhill ever again.

Always a great place to run in and grab essentials while out and about. The prices are extremely competitive and make this my number one choice over Walmart... especially when I don't feel like battling the crowds.

My first and only experience so far wasn't quite the best. Could barely get to anywhere in the store they had so much stuff in the way. Friendly employees, good sales, just wasn't happy with the overall appearance of the store.

Convenient but gets crowded and there is usually only 1 cashier and they take their time. If your in a rush don't go after school and jobs let out

It's a wonderful new store almost anything you could want.It has the same people with the same great service. We call it the Wal-Mart of Silverhill.
