Saturday 10/14/23 cashier pulled up at 7:59am went inside and I assume clocked in then promptly came out and said she had to run down the street to get breakfast. Returned a half hour later at 830am. Leaving my wife and I standing outside among several other people. If we hadn't walked from loves where we were parked we would have left. Won't be Returning again.

Depending on who checks you out, depends on if they are nice or not. I am at the store right now, and the doors are shut with a sign that says, "Will be back shortly"" Management". Been here a while. Coke delivery guy has been here so long, he just left. He does have a delivery route to keep on top of. He loaded all of that on his carts....now he is having to unload back into the truck

I love Shorter's progress but lately Dollar General has failed us all! Namely, the registers with new machines are always down. Cash only transactions! Bathrooms not working! No helium for the balloons they sell! It depends on who's working as to rather or not the visit will be pleasant. The residents deserve better. We've prayed for progress and here it what we are served.

I tried to go here once. The store should have been open per the store hours posted on the door. They were not open and the employee cleaning the parking lot was rude when I asked for clarification.

Yolonda the cashier was berading a couple at the counter as I was walking in..they were telling the lady they do not shoplift and she continued yelling at them while they were trying to check out as everyone stared. Then she turned to me and stepped from behind the counter and began talking very loud about how she and Belinda had apprehended and been responsible for more shoplifters..she continued to follow me around the store stating that these people coming from everywhere else would not cause shorter to lose their store the way Tuskegee list Walmart...I do not steal and had no intention s of doing so....she continued to speak loudly and talk about me until I checked out spending 58.00. She was the rudest person I have ever encountered and I will never return to this location if Dollar general. She is a definite liability to this store.

Great counter service and fast checkoutroom to park 1 or 2 trucks on the north side of the store off the highway...unless its raining...then it's a swampOld service station parking lot across the street to the east, solid gravel lot with grass over it

The employees are always so helpful..the know our names which is very nice..the store is clean ..organized ..well stocked and it's easy to find what you need..I highly recommend and will be a repeat customer.

I was walking towards the cashier and she said in a harsh voice "Sir ur goin the wrong way". As I approached the entrance her actions got worse. Like she didn't want me 2 b there. Very rude.

This is the worst dollar general ever! They are never until til 10. 20 people have pulled up and left because they are close untill 6:00 pm! Makes no sense at all !Shorter Alabama y’all dollar general is terrible

Great place to pick up a few items if u dont feel like standing in the long lines that are always at Wal-Mart. And there is always a cashier at the register so check out is fast and prompt.
