Staff is very nice and professional! I called on a Saturday, after I called roughly 10 other vets, and they fit me in within two hours of my call. I loved the vet and assistant that saw my pup! If I had any questions they were VERY informative and did not hesitate to help me and my pup. 100/10!!

The staff are very nice and care about your animals. I found a kitten and they helped me get set up with the $300 kitten package to get it checked out and set up an appointment to get it healthy. I left knowing it was a girl and $300 is a great deal for all they offer and you save $50 on the spay.

Extremely disappointed. I brought my dog here a couple years ago to board and I absolutely loved the experience. So when my family went on vacation this go around, it was a no brainer for me to choose this clinic. I dropped my dog and my parent’s four dogs off on Monday 4/15 and called once a day, except for one day to check on them, mainly because my dog has severe anxiety. Prior to scheduling this board, I verified my method of payment with them and they told me the pet care credit card I had could be used as long as I had the actual card in hand, which I did. They did not tell me that there was a chance that it would not go through. When I got to pick up today 4/22/24, I was told that my method of payment was not accepted and I needed to provide another method of payment. If not, they would hold my five dogs. The lady who spoke with me was not sympathetic or could tell me why I was told differently. She kept repeating she can’t make the machine work and that they did not accept the credit card. The manager told me that they couldn’t have explained it any clearer to me when I first called about it that they needed the actual card, which I had. She also placed blame on me for not researching the card enough. That’s why I called to see if they accepted it. The part they left out in the beginning was that it was not guaranteed that it would be accepted. I would not have applied for the card if it was not guaranteed. I had to drain my savings to avoid them taking my dogs back.The next thing that upset me was that they have my dog anxiety medication without my authorization (I did select call for permission). When I questioned it the receptionist told me “Well you asked for it and she was scared.” I did not ask for it and if her anxiety was that bad, why was this not relayed to me when I called for check in. I don’t doubt that she was, but when I asked about her the staff downplayed it like she was okay. I also provided dog calming chews that were approved prior to give her for anxiety.I will give it to them. They did accept responsibility for that mistake and miscommunication, which I appreciate. They are also refunding me the charge for the medication.The lesson I learned from this experience is that SOME of the staff are not the nicest and are rude. Don’t use pet care credit cards and don’t trust when they say they accept that method of payment as long as I have the actual card. I will not be bringing my dogs back to this vet. I’m exhausted and I’m glad I got my furbabies back.

Absolutely love it here. I have started 2 puppies here because of the puppy package that they offer which i have listed everything included at the end. They are truly a wealth of knowledge and are eager to assist in anyway possible especially with tips and tricks of potty training ☺️. They are fur baby parents themselves and have always taken care of mine as if their own. I could literally go on and on about my heart of dixie peeps but Give them a chance to express their love and compassion for your fur babies as they have for mine. As stated above the puppy package that they currently (8/6/2021) offer is $300 which is a great set price that I feel more than covers the costs of everything included. The package includes 4 lbs of Hill's Science Diet puppy food, 4 Complete wellness exams and consultation with the vet, Up to 4 age-appropriate sets of vaccine boosters, Up to 3 intestinal parasite screenings, 2 Dewormings (if needed), 2 Baths, 2 months of heartworm and flea prevention and $50 Discount towards their Spay or Neuter.

I love this place, but most of all LaLa, my furbaby, loves this place! She runs to greet the staff which tells me they treat her well. LaLa boards here when I have to go our of town for extended work trips. They treat her well, and she has made a few friends there. When she had to have surgery, the doctor took the time to explain what needed to happen and what next steps would be. It made me feel much more calm and informed about the process. The staff truly loves your pet and cares about their well-being. I wouldn't take LaLa anywhere else.

Closed on Wednesday’s, no back up veterinarian on site when on vacation, and will not address issues brought regarding my fur baby. They only seem to be concerned about testing ( which can be necessary but can go overboard). They also seem to be only interested in the money and not my pet. Still trying to understand if renal disease stage 2 then 1. Why give 24 hour IV fluids and charge almost 400.00 dollars if 2. My baby is drinking but not eating. 3. Your business is treatment of animals and you Dr. Jenner should realize whom is paying you and your clinic and speak with a better bedside manner. Test away and charge people but I am going for second opinion and not bringing any of my dogs back to this clinic. DONE with this bad business!!!!

The people here are super nice BUT, I have been brought my dog here 2 times over the past year for a spot on her leg, they kept telling me it was allergies and send me my way with a $200 vet bill. I just took her to a different vet and soon as he walked in the room he said i know exactly what this is and how to fix fix. heart of dixie was trying to treat my pups deep rooted infection with some salve you put on the leg and too low of a dosages of medicine to do anything. i have been comparing prices and they are so much more expensive.

This year we have had 2 emergency situations with 2 of our dogs and they were able to see them quickly on the same day I called. The vets called me back quickly and allowed me to make the decision to do an X-ray or just wait. He informed me of the cost of everything over the phone which I truly appreciate. The staff is friendly and super helpful.

Originally I took my Dacshund to this vet for shots because I found a deal on Groupon. We had a great experience! Helpful, caring staff. Then recently we adopted 2 cats that were abandoned. One cat was run over. I rushed him to this vet, no appointment, just ran in frantic they saved my cat. He is completely healed and back to normal. They really care about the animals here. I 100% recommend Heart of Dixie! Prices are reasonable too.

I had taken my dog here for routine vaccinations and heart worm and flea and tick prevention. I was charged more than was explained to me over the phone. The receptionist was rude when I simply asked for a breakdown of what I was being charged. My dog is pregnant, and I cannot get a call back from either clinic to help me. Both receptionists were unreasonably rude to me. I have called over a dozen times and just gave up to go to another clinic that cares about their patients. I am extremely sad and disappointed with how I have been treated by both locations. I will never be back there, again,

Very professional, caring and knowledgeable Veterinarian. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and take all of them there. They are experienced and will recommend care and procedures, with estimates up front. We had one of our dog neutered and boarded there, another one had to have a big mass removed and we get all our yearly check ups done there. Reasonable prices for both treatment and medication. If you want great and experienced care for your animal, this is the place for you. Additionally, they work with the local animal shelter and do a lot of work with the animals from there. You can't beat the experience and care that this clinic/Dr. Cathrine provides. We have lived all over the USA and world and this some of the best care our animals have received.

My cats love their vet! Dr. Jenner definitely cares about the well being of my spoiled little angels. My girls definitely like the vet and staff as they are much more calm once we arrive to the office and they call and look for Dr. Jenner and staff to play with for a couple hours after we arrive home. Wonderful place and very caring people. I brought my cat "Tom" in because he had an eye infection. They took wonderful care of my baby and thanks to them he's all better. They were very pleasant..the vet was great explaining things..the one reason i didn't give 5 stars is because you can't go into exam room with your fur baby...the vet tech takes them into exam room and you stay in lobby.. i really want to be in the room with my baby but other than that it was a great visit.

After we found Muffin through a FB group a few weeks ago, we took her to Heart of Dixie Vet to be spayed. The surgery went fine and was supposed to cost about $100.00. Their policy is to keep a dog 24 hrs after surgery to "watch" them and make sure they are OK. While they were "watching" her, she pulled out her stitches and intestines and tore off a piece of her intestine, requiring additional surgery. I was called after the surgery and told what happened. The Vet said she would probably live and all I would be charged for was the spaying and additional supplies used. When we went to get her a week later we were told the bill was $500.00. I told them I had budgeted $100.00 dollars for the spaying and that's all I had and that even though I didn't feel I should pay for their negligence I would make payments on the rest. I was told if I don't pay the full amt. in 10 days they will "dispose" of her. This is my daughters baby and they refuse to release her. Please share this post to all of your friends.

The staff here is wonderful. They answered all my questions and took their time with me and with my puppy. I didn't feel like a number like I usually do at a vets office which was a refreshing change from feeling like the vet only wanted to get paid like most other doctors.

Not worth your time or money! Took a small kitten that I rescued there because it was the only place open. When I got there they checked her out she was under weight, had worms, and "upper respiratory infection" they gave me medicine for the worms and upper respiratory infection told me to come back in a week. at first she was doing fine they also gave me some dry kitten food to feed her which actually made things worse at the end of the week two days before I was supposed to bring her back she got very ill and would not eat or drink I called them litterly the day before I got payed and told them she was basically dieing they wanted me to bring her in that day I told them is there anyway I could leave her over night until the next day when I get payed but they told me that their policy is against that and if I can't pay up front then I can't bring her in! Well the next day she was dead! It's sad to say that these people only care about money they weren't worried about saving a kittens life like a vet should be!
