Instead of going in wasting time and a long line. Walmart stop by the dollar store they have name brand items cheaper you can even get a few groceries, clothes, shoes, socks, medicine and much more they have a dairy selection coolers with lunch meat breakfast meat. And a whole lot more and employees or super nice. They even sell tobacco products.

This store is absolutely disgusting. When you walk in, you can tell that the AC is not working properly and the store has a horrible smell. It honestly smells like rotten milk. It's so unorganized and filthy. It's very apparent that there is no real management at this store. Today will be the last time I go into this location. It's worth driving a little further down Snow Road to go to the other Dollar General. It's super clean and well organized

If you are looking for disappointment,this is your store!! This store is so nasty and dirty. Save your time and drive to the store at snow and tanner williams. From what I understand it's a different district manager and boy can you tell. Tanner williams store is so nice, clean, stocked and friendlier employees. Just last week this store closed due to not having cash register receipt paper. Apparently they didn't take that down time without customers to stock or clean. This isn't a new issue. It's been this way for years now and DG does nothing about it. What a shame.

This is the worst Dollar General in Semmes! First off it's so dirty the beach has less dirt! The lighting is depressing and the AC never works! The shelves are always bare and nothing is stocked. I either end up leaving to go down the street to the Tanner Williams store or opening boxes to find what I need myself. The roller carts of stock are always blocking the isles or the boxes are just sitting on the floor. The employee's are sitting on a bucket behind the register playing on their phone every time I go into this store! The manager apparently isn't doing their job very well! This store was also just closed temporarily for a rat infestation and my guess is corporate didnt send anyone down to investigate or they would have closed this store permanently because of the condition it is in! I will no longer set foot in this store unless something is done and i recommended no one else does if they dont want their time wasted!

There are literally 4 Dollar Generals within 10 minutes from me and probably 20-30 within 25 miles. I have been to atleast 15 of them. This is far and away the cleanest one in the area. The aisles are clean from trash and debris. The employees and management always do their best to make sure everyone is happy.

The store is a little crowded with merchandise but the employees are always friendly.This seems to be a very busy Dollar General (at any given time) but the employees do well keeping up with stocking & checking people out. 🙂

I was in the store tonight and my total was Incorrect. My cashier Tammy was awesome. Called the key holder who very rude and nasty to the front to correct the purchase. I am not sure if she was hungry, mad for having to work of down right a racist. I am very very disappointed at her actions. I will be pursuing this further. Wrong customer to pull your white coat and white cone shaped hat out on!!!

I went in the other day and they had the sales tags on the 12 pack drinks and the deal had went out more than 12 hours before. After I was rang up, I noticed the price was off and they explained they hadn't taken down the tags that were all over the store. So I had to go to the drink aisle and pick more all the time the line behind me was growing to end up from one side of the store to the other

After waiting twenty mins in line because even Christmas comes faster than the cashier was working today (another employee was sitting on the floor doing inventory while everyone waited) I was told they were out of propane 🙄 Please put a sign up when you’re out so people don’t have to waist their time.

They just remodeled the place and it looks good. Always has those last minute items I've forgotten to get at Walmart. The people that work that are always very helpful as well!

This one in particular is always clean and neat and everyone is so nice but the one on 98 is a wreck you can't get down the isles because of carts full of things that need to be placed on the shelf,the line at the cashier is always to long, it's just a mess

Went to this location due to the one I usually go to was out of milk. The cashier had a attitude. There was a very long line with about 8 people wating to be checked out, and only one cashier, while the other employees was goofing off. Also the store was a mess, even the display up front around the candy and cold drinks had all kinds of stuff that didn't belong there.

I didn't care for the staff. Where one was friendly enough, the lady in charge, she made sure to tell the cashier to slow down using the $5 off coupons that print on everyone's receipt, to be used on a specific Saturday. I was given my total, the manager was standing behind the cashier, I handed my $5 coupon to the cashier, the manager hit some key on the register and my total was still the same. I refunded my purchase and will not go back to that Dollar General.

This Dollar General is a pillar of surrounding areas. The closest store of its kind, it provides groceries, household goods, tools, hygiene products, and more in the true Alabama Dollar General fashion. It is nothing more or less than what it tries to be. A location that executes its purpose.

The store is disgusting! Trash everywhere open bags of food everywhere the cashier instead of checking people out was smoking outside there was a line wrapping around the store it was truly a terrible experience
