The lady who checked me in was nice and friendly. However, I can’t say the same for the room. Though it is spacious, the rooms had many downfalls and needs improvements. When I first walked in the smell of cheap motel smack me in the face. Then I was greeted by a roach on the wall by the entrance. The carpet is dirty and looks like it hasn’t been washed in many years. So don’t walk barefoot. The toilet was not screwed down properly and wobbles when you sit on it to poop, so be careful. The Wi-Fi is ok, sometimes it’ll cut out randomly. The one thing they have going for them is the bed, it’s pretty comfortable to sleep on.

DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT come here! I give no stars. The room was ok but the service is untrustworthy. Me and my husband and our baby were passing by town and paid 180 cash for a room. It was 5am and we were driving all night and really tired. All the hotels around there were booked. In the morning before checking out the manager gave us a receipt saying we had paid 98 for a room. I told her we had paid 180 and quickly she replied our highest rate it 98. She said she doubted her employee would charge us that much. We had to call the cops because she wouldn’t look at her cameras footage for us. In the end we got our money back. I feel bad who ever has to deal with this. Never again.

Was supposed to stay here for 3 days wound up being two let them know the night following that I had an emergency and I had to leave before I even went to the front desk I had most of my things packed and I deep cleaned the room to where there wasn't really anything for them to have to do when I go downstairs the next morning which is today they had to go up to the room to make sure I did not smoke in it which I most certainly did not I smoked in my car after going up the stairs and coming back they tried to say that I smoked in the room because they found ashes on the bed now when I left the room I cut all the lights off and left the air on to where the lady who cleans would not be burning alive as it is 8,000° in their hallways as me and the front desk lady made our way up to the room I cut my phone light on to discover what she said was cigarette ashes smeared in the sheets was a piece of grass then she proceeded to wipe the dresser claiming that it was ashes on the dresser and it was some moisturizer from my facial bag that had sat there which wiped off with no gray or black residue they had to leave the hotel and go to another one to give me my refund for the deposit and for the remainder of my stay that I would not be therefore never had to deal with anything like this at any hotels cuz overall the room seem to nice but accusing me of smoking in a room that I did not just to keep my deposit is a sad sad thing especially since it was almost $500 for 3 Days to stay there

Customer service was great. However, the hotel is very very old. The walls are very thin and you hear everyone walking down hallway upstairs. The bathroom tub water ran all night... all night drip drop drip drop. I could not sleep. Yes, reading the parking lot comments there seemed to be very limited parking .

First off , my stay was horrible ! Hotel smelled like weed upon arrival . Lobby was dusty & you could tell that cleanliness wasn’t a big factor . It was the only hotel that was available in the area that looked decent enough for us to stay , as we usually stay at the Holiday Inn in Selma . Also , the hotel description said that it was in the Edmund Pettus bridge area AND IT WASNT . Mattresses were dirty ; I even captured something crawling inside the comforter . Bathroom wasn’t clean , corners were very dirty . Bed decor sheet was dirty as well . Table , nightstand , & tv stand were all peeling . I killed 2 roaches on the nightstand . Hair dryer was filthy . Carpet just pure dirty ! I had to buy cleaning supplies just so it could feel halfway clean to us . Major renovations needed …NEVER AGAIN !!!

Quiet, convenient location. Clean and comfortable with cable TV, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker. There is a pool but I don't think it was open. There were signs saying masks must be worn indoors, but nobody was, including employees, which is why I didn't give this place a 5. I actually didn't go for the free breakfast and found another hotel for this reason.

The stay was good ..I was here for over a month after being displaced my 🌪 on January 12th. Changing the smoking and drinking alcohol around entrances would be great and not letting people hangout around the entrace areas would be great too. God Bless

Service at checkin was terrible. Both people were on continual personal calls. Both had their vehicles parked under overhang for arriving guest. The smell of the hotel is old/musty/dirty/ and at places smelled of marijuana.Rooms had hair in the bed and in the shower and toilet area. Rooms also had a dingy smell. Muggy inside the room. Never get the temp right where things felt they weren’t damp.Over all, unsafe feeling. Wish my company had been willing to get me into the holiday Inn or Hampton.

Looked recently renovated, hallways and rooms, and was clean. Bed was firm - I thought it was fine, but husband said he could feel the springs. Water pressure was great and temp consistent. Staff was friendly. Room was quiet, but not sure if it was bc of good sound insulation or no one nearby. AC fan provided good white noise, too, so could have been that.

I had an awesome experience during my stay at this hotel. The front desk clerk Katie was very professional, nice and greeted me with a smile. She was patient and she was very effective in making the "check in" process quick and easy. The rooms were VERY clean. There was a wonderful frangrace of "cleanliness" when I walked through the door. The bed was VERY comfortable, and I truly enjoyed my stay. The next morning before I checked out, I was greeted by thoughtful housekeepers asking me if everything was ok, and did I need anything. The breakfast was delicious. I give this hotel 2 very enthusiastic thumbs up!! I will be returning.

We were staying at this hotel due to the Hurricane Irma. We drove long hours to get there so I called and advise that we will be coming late. When we arrived at 2am, the receptionist was very polite and friendly. She assisted us with everything we needed. The breakfast was complete with bagels, toasts, OJ, fresh coffee, yogurt, fresh fruits, etc. The scrambled eggs were from the box ( I personally didn't like that) and there was no bacon, only sausages. But other than that I would stay at the Comfort Inn again.

The hotel was older looking on the outside. I was pretty nervous. We usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express when we visit Selma. The rooms were decent, but not for almost $100 per night! Our room was on the second floor and was clean. The lobby seemed a bit dated, as well as the carpeting. No elevator, my door wouldn't lock unless you slammed it shut, the room smelled of cigarettes and it was a "non-smoking" room, I called the front desk for towels and never received them. I was over it. 2 nights was long enough.

Room is clean, however bathroom needs updating, shower head seen better days. Also breakfast is lacking. Internet is good, couch needs attention. But for the area and price not bad. Management could fix issues easily.

Checked in and our room had a foul smell in it. Moved our room, but the next room had ants. Also, the tub was dirty. Asked the clerk for an extra flat sheet, she said the owners were sticklers about giving extra flats out. As for the clerks (Katie and Charlene) they were very helpful and courteous. Also we found out the facility didn't have elevators.😟😟😟 that's a lot of luggage to tote upstairs. We will not stay at this comfort inn ever again.

I stayed here for 2 nights. The room was nice. After checking out, later that day, we received a phone call from the manager saying we had damaged the room and wanted $50 for the damage. When we said no because we had not damaged the room he then stated he would sue us. We went back the next day to confront the manager, his story changed. I believe he was trying to run a scam on us so beware!!

I stayed here October 13th-15th, other than being woken up at 2 A.M by the fire alarms going off one of the nights. Which, I honestly wasn't too bad about, I really just felt bad for the woman working. My stay was very nice, I didn't know what exactly to expect when coming to this hotel but when i opened the door to my room I was very pleased. The room was pretty nice and very clean

Glad it was only 1 night. Found dirty towels hanging on the back of the bathroom door from the previous guest. Pool was closed. Just didn't seem to be clean & fresh. Floor didnt looked vacuumed. Coffee pot was dirty, chair in room needed cleaning. Didnt like top covers. Window curtains were dirty & frail. Phone didnt work properly, had to use speaker phone to dial out. Breakfast buffet - sad.

This is the second year in a row I've stayed here when I come in town for the Bloody Sunday Jubilee. Last year was fine besides the continental breakfast seems old and stale. But this year, it was HORRIBLE!!! For one, my mother (who has arthritis in both knees, a scope done on one but needing two knee replacements) had to walk upstairs to our room because there was NO ELEVATOR. My issue with that is we booked our rooms after we left last year and that's something we do each year. When I booked, I specifically requested downstairs rooms for that reason, and it was after and understood. Yet, pregnant, uncomfortable and tired, I walked down to the office to see if there was one near and there were 5-6 others waiting for someone while the front desk phone just rang and rang. One of the other guys also waiting in the lobby stated "Here's another one, we've been waiting for 10-15 minutes already" I was so upset, I walked off and held my mother up as we both went upstairs to our room. Furthermore, when we walked in the first thing I initially noticed was the chair in the room had stains ALL OVER it, then I noticed red stuff on the walls all over the room and in the bathroom. I tried to wipe it off with a wet napkin and it came off, but it wasn't done before I arrived, the shower head and floor was filthy, the toilet was very wiggly and was not secured to the floor as it should, the toilet just ran for three to five minutes after you flushed it and again, the breakfast was old and stale. This was by far, the WORST EXPERIENCE and I WILL NOT be returning.

Nice place... has been recently remodeled and updated... nice size rooms . Several places to eat close by and some shopping,supplies stores around... only complaint was bathroom floor looked unswept and not mopped and found towel on shower curtain rod left by cleaning crew. Also smelled smoke even though it's non smoking... not bad but as I turned on heater I could smell cigarettes smell from it. Most likely needs new filters...

The rooms are pretty decent and clean but the Internet had 2 speeds, slow and stop. I wasn't impressed as the Internet is essential for my work. Breakfast is good, eggs and sausage, waffles and all the other usual stuff.

It was hot. The food was literally rotten. They could have turned on the A.C. in our room, but when we got it it was 80 degrees at least in the room. The A.C. also smelled like cigarette smoke. It was as clean as it could be and the employees were nice. I say "as clean as it could be" because the hotel hasn't been updated and there's some grime and dirt build up.

The Comfort Inn in Selma was conveniently located to several area attractions, shopping, and eating establishments. The room I was in was large and comfortable. It was clean but the furniture and appliances were worn and in need of replacing. An elevator would have been a nice amenity instead of the flight of concrete stairs. The price of the room was a little steep considering the value for the money.

Everytime we come in from working 12 hours our ac is off and the room is hot. The blinds are opened up like there are new guests coming in. They never pick up the garbage. I came in on a Sunday night and Saturday night I'm having to pay for another week. Usually I wouldn't pay again till Sunday morning. This place and town sucks. Leave and never come back.

AWESOME!! Front desk employee was very generous. Clean comfortable beds. Room was very clean and i love the colors !! Breakfast was great as well. When im back in town this is where me and my family will stay.
