How do I put -5 stars. This store is the worst hardware store I have ever been in hands down. For a chain store you would think they would have more inventory on the shelf then they do the local hardware stores carry more stuff or more helpful then employees at the store. You would think you could go to a hardware store and buy a socket set not at this store you would think you could find the parts to do some simple half inch plumbing and black iron ore in galvanized pipe not at the store you would think you could buy a conduit Bender if you sell conduit can't buy one of those either after 15 separate trips to the store on every trip I have left not being able to complete simple projects no longer will I ever come back to the store and I highly recommend you don't either you will find everything you need at the other local hardware stores you can find more of a selection at Walmart then you can find at this store and you'll definitely pay a better price if you can't get it at one of the local stores it's well worth your time and money and frustration to go elsewhere even if you have to drive to Montgomery Alabama. just check out my pictures I posted of all the empty spaces on the shells their answer they were doing inventory so you quit stalking to make your life easier so that you can do inventory I don't think so I don't know of another store that does it that way. All I can say is run run run run the other way run as fast as you can!!!!

I went to Marvin's in Selma Al on November 18th, 2023. I arrived there at 6:28 PM. There was a young boy and young girl over the store. They never asked if we needed help. I had to go too the counter and ask for help. They never walked away to help me. He just told me where the merchandise was. Then at the register, while I was checking out, the boy was sitting in a wheelchair telling to someone on the phone. The girl was texting on her phone while was paying. .Both workers were very rude. Not paying attention at all!!

Inventory leaves a lot to be desired. The workers aren't very helpful at all. The prices are ridiculous! I'd rather buy from Home Depot 45 minutes away!

Let me start by saying fortunately Selma, Al has a department type hardware store. On the other hand unfortunately they are quite often out of supplies. One would think being the only store in town they would work to keep it stocked. As for the help they try the best they can. Would be a great improvement if they would keep the shelves stocked and also offer a bit more variety. This being said don't get me wrong I am thankful for the store. Yet I would Praise God for a Harbor Freight and Lowe's or Home Depot. Thanks again for taking the time to read my reviews, I will only post what I feel never sugar coated.

Very clean. Friendly staff. Able to get an 18 wheeler in lot if you need to without any trouble. Was hoping for just one to select from for what i needed. They had 5 brands and styles. Will shop here when in this area again

Jan has a bad attitude. She saw me walk up to her and she pretended not to see me. I had to try and get her attention twice before she finally looked at me. I asked her a question to which she rudely responded. At the same time an incident was going on with another customer and a cashier have a screaming match. At that point I no longer felt safe and I decided to leave the store empty handed. I don't visit Marvin's often but I was not impressed with what I saw or the customer service.

I’ve a very hard issue in defining the values they post and actually shopping there and them ( management) practicing something totally different 🤔. Selma is my home, but I’ll never spend my money there anymore. I know this is 2022, but I don’t know why their service is still oriented to the “50’s”?????

It the only place in town to get any building supplies, so that rates two stars. They are the Big Lots of home Improvement stores, so don't expect much. Until The Home Depot or Lowes comes to town..you get what you get..

The store has a great layout and wonderful customer service but I moved from a city to a rural area and I am used to the options that Lowe's and Home Depot offer.

Nice place to get supplies but they lack variety and a lot of time they are out of stock on demand products and some employees do not know much about products on the shelves and sometimes give you erroneous information over the phone and usually it's for another product

Poor service. No one present with knowledge of products. Had to return merchandise. Bought wrong thing. Young man at return register was nice and knowledgeable of his return job.

went to Marvin's today for a new water heater. The staff was outstanding and extremely helpful. The knowledge of Missy, the store's manager, mademy shopping experience wonderful !!

It seems like every time I go to Marvins, they find a way to be irritating. Today I saved myself the trip and was hung up on twice in under a minute. Yes, they have caller ID and yes, I have an out of area phone #. My insult was to tell a lady in wood products her answer was ambiguous and attempt to ask for a clarification. Then I spoke to a team leader (Thomas) who did not comprehend a simple question (either) and insisted discussing something with me something which had nothing to do with my question! So I asked to speak to the Store Manager (Missy Holmes). 3 hours passed and I had to call her back because she was too busy to call me.... but found the time to speak right exactly when I called. Why should the employees care if they upset customers if the manager doesn't care? I always make annoyed customers wait 3 hours before I show them I care don't you? The only thing Selma excels at is lowering the bar. The best thing about Marvins? It's not Walmart.

The help was great but there was some bust rocks bag I try to get them cheaperThey didn't go down much unsmiling face today so there just lay there to they get tired of them I could have save them alot of time if they gave me a good deal
