Very pleased with my experiences at Petsense, Scottsboro. Great staff, very friendly and accommodating! The store is clean, bright and the only store in town where I can consistently find the food and treats for my cat and dog. Because the store is so well front and faced I feel guilty messing it up!Hope you like the picture of my new puppy with her Petsence harness, leash and chew.

Overpriced with limited selection. Has my brand of dog food but not same brand of cat food? Makes no sense. Rude who I’m assuming is the manager who during covid wouldn’t let my child come in with me and made me either leave him outside alone or in the car which are both dangerous and illegal. Won’t be back.

I really wanted to love this place and for our puppies to have an excellent experience, but unfortunately that was not the case. When we arrived to pick up the puppies they had two in one kennel which is a no no in Alabama according to our vets office. They also agreed to do our puppies ears and have it documented that our puppies ears were done but they were not and they are still full of fluff and stink… we are going to have to pay someone else to do them because this causes yeast infections in their ears. This was the whole reason we scheduled the appointments to begin with. We were told that the other two received baths and were brushed out but they still had knots in their fur and little to no effort was made to do the grooming that we paid $39 each for. Our biggest heartbreak occurred when I felt a cut/gash to my baby girls side… we didn’t notice it until we got home and she kept cleaning herself. I have never complained on here but I wanted others to know of our experience and for them to be aware of the situation before they take their babies here to get groomed. Our total bill was $112 dollars and my Mother’s was $39 for this traumatic experience for our three dogs… it truly wasn’t worth it. All I can say is buyer beware.

I made the switch to this store two months ago to utilize their grooming services. A friend recommended me and its been the best service I've ever received across the board. Their groomers Kandace and Tommy are true professionals and are excellent with my pooch pals . I've had bad experiences in the past at other companies, so I am extremely grateful for their expertise, so much in fact I never "forget" to bring cash for a tip lol. Keep up the great work yall , see you next month!!

I visit Pet Sense monthly to stock up on pe4t food. While the staff is usually always courteous, I wanted to mention Lucas in particular. I wish every young person working today would take some cues from Lucas. He's friendly, personable, helpful, and he seems interested in what he's doing. Great job Lucas! Keep up the good work and you'll climb the ladder quickly, wherever you may work!

No live animals except some Male bettas. People are friendly. Plenty of supplies. Place is clean, easy to get to with plenty of parking. Did have some animals in for adoption. Cost for adopting depends on size. Apparently the animals will be neutered or fixed and shots will be given before the animal will be yours, therefore the cost for the animal whether surrendered or picked up.

Don't EVER use them for grooming!! They don't know how to schedule, they will give your appointments away and not be there for them with absolutely no notifications.Just don't!Me and my family will never enter this store again

Staff was knowledgeable and happily assisted me in gathering what I would need to bring home a new puppy. Their experience proved invaluable when deciding what was needed immediately also. Combining the stores open door policy for most pets while maintaining a clean and airy environment for their human customers puts this store at the top of my list of favorite places to wander around & shop. A+!!!

Clean, decent customer service, over priced, and a lot of low or out of stock inventory.Abundant selection of cat and dog supplies, but for specialty items, such as for aquariums, reptiles, etc. They have a very limited selection and what I wanted was out of stock (Multiple times). Plus most employees lack knowledge about the products they sale. 🐶🐱🦎🐦

My baby bearded dragon needs baby crickets and cant handle adults very well went the other day to get some and they told me they cant sell baby crickets because they are getting baby reptile in and need to feed them with the baby crickets they get. So why cant the pet store order extra so it doesn't leave the customers without food for their pets. My second problem was i baught what was 50 count of wax worms and 50 count of calcium worms i get home and they are all dead and have been for a while. To the point they was dry and burnt and on the lid it says 25 count so essentially i payed double for dead insects for a live feeder. Better stores are hours away and dont charge 18 cents per cricket.

It’s been 2 days since i made a trip to Pet Sense. I live in Jasper, TN. It’s about a 45-50 minute drive for me. I go to Pet Sense to get crickets for my bearded dragon. I was told I can only buy 40 at a time, which is fine. But i’m paying $6.98 after tax for 40 crickets and i’m not even getting 40. I feed my bearded dragon 7 a day like Pet Smart told me to when I purchased my breaded dragon a month ago. (2 days 14 crickets) I already have to make another trip to buy an additional “40” crickets. I would like to get what i pay for. And really, crickets shouldn’t even be $7 for 40. If i could feed my dragon crickets from a bait store, I would. 50 is $2.50. but unfortunately, he’s still too small for him to digest such a big cricket.

I took my teacup yorkie to get a haircut. She went one time before, this was her second visit. I explained i wanted her short and not to look homeless. When I picked her up she still looked homeless so i took her back when the groomer arrived back from break. I repeated that she needs to be cut shorter and she still looks homeless. I brought her home and realized she has a cut on her side. I will not be taking her back to him. I have not tried the girl that works there but as of right now she will not be going back at all.

Nice addition to Scottsboro, it's small but still I love having a pet store so close to home. I can get my cats their flea products and speciality foods with out having to go to Gunterville all the time. Good customer service.

Never can find the stuff we need for our reptiles. The staff is rude and unhelpful. They don’t know anything about their animals but they will act like they know more the someone that has raised said animal for a number of yrs. I refuse to recommend or purchase anything from this company especially Scottsboro Pet Sence

Good selections for dog and cat food. Can be a little pricey. Otherwise just your standard pet supply store. No animals sold here except for beta fish, and I think they may do adoptions there.

Will not return to this store. Our puppy has been groomed for a year by them and now they can't find his rabies paperwork so now I am very dissatisfied with the groomer because she was like she doesn't want our business.😠

Everytime we enter the store, it takes forever to find an associate. I was in there yesterday, September 25th, was looking for a pet harness and I never did find anyone to assist me so I just left. I am not sure I'll ever shop there again. I'll go to the pet store in albertville, Al.
