I first tried to go to my local DG, first store closed due to NO STAFFING. Second store closed for no air. I ended up at this location. I walked into store and this little man who worked there had ran outside and was yelling into a phone about something like a complaint. Then it was time for me to checkout after getting stuck on boxes on the floor everywhere. This same man checked me out and acted rude like I was bothering him. I kindly said hi and he never said hi just looking at me with scorn. I had an issue where I was trying to get internet access to transfer more money from my account to pay because I went over and I couldn't get access unless at door.rudely told me to move my items into my cart while I was trying to transfer more money from my savings account. I said yes I gladly will. He then told everyone that I was holding up his line. He was just awful from the start. I am a senior citizen and he had a terrible attitude with me. There's much more that happened but I don't have enough room to post the rest. I ended up leaving the store because of his attitude. Update. Review. I have been going to Dollar General in Pell city Cogswell site lately. The most wonderful, helpful ladies that work at that location. Very very pleasant to speak to. My first review still stands but the Pell city Cogswell site deserves a 10 point or more.

Idk what the deal is, normally it's just fine shopping here, but the cashier y'all had today was so rude. Without skipping a beat the 16 year old looking cashier tells my 22 YEAR OLD bf that they don't sell to minors, didn't even bother to ask for his ID, then is a complete jerk the whole transaction.The only cashier on 11-5-22 around 3pm.

Their restroom isn't public I guess cause people didn't take care of it. It's fairly big in size parking lot has a drop off that can catch you off guard but hey my kind of place

The store is clean but over-stocked for its size. The manager and employees are very pleasant and knowledgeable. They are usually running their legs off trying to wait on customers and stock the store at the same time. I've never had to wait long to get checked out though

Only negative is the isles were so full of stock that must isles you literally could not go down. Which meant I spent less money which was good for my bank account. Lol. But did score a good haul on craft supplies.

One time I shut down half the power in this store using only a foam football, that's how crappily this store is put together. They're not really helpful, they're rude really, as in All of the female employees and that neckless manager. For example, if the vending machine out front of the store steals your money (which it will), they won't do anything but "tell the coke man" and rudely send you away moneyless. Last time that happened, the machine spit out a coca cola can that had been punctured while coming out of the machine and came out spewing everywhere like the moment I grabbed it out of the slot, cashier didn't give a damn. (That's the only way you get Actual cold beverages here, the freaking machine that Robs you) I've bought at least 3 expired items off these shelves from here too, some were attempted to be passed off in clearance sections. These are some trifling people that don't even wanna be at their jobs, by all means we deserve better. Most of the coolers aren't cold either, so get ready for hot drinks. I shop at this store a lot, and I wish I didn't have to. Also, their Clover Valley brand of bread tastes like soap. Don't fall into these traps, I warned you. Also, God FORBID you ever TRY to call corporate, you will NOT receive help, at all. An Indian woman that hangs up on ya. Worst customer service of any chain in my opinion. Can't tell you how many times I've given up on complaints because their customer service sucks that bad, it's like beating a dead horse. This is why this review happened, so that someone other than a solitary woman from India named "Jordan" can see it.

it's a good place to shop but I've NEVER been to one that had ALL stock put up and floats out of the way and depending on which one you go to, they are usually in some sort of disarray.... shelves aren't organized, looks like a tornado went thru EACH isle.

Easy to run in and pick up something quick, like bread, milk, breakfast stuff or snacks. Far more convenient than a trip to a large grocery store. Parking is a lot better also.

Why do I feel so personally besieged when Dollar General is out of stock on one of their store brand items? That's why I don't tell people they have the best protein bars and french vanilla creamer. I think I depend on this store too much.

Store usually ok but not today! 6/5/18 4:30 . Rung up same item twice then couldn’t just refund my money at same register. Then went on to next customer said I have to wait! Manager then decided to tell me how bad he hated working today, though he was gonna cry! Need to have experienced management! Hate I don’t want to shop at this store anymore since it’s convenient. Good bye DG

I love this place this Dollar general is well organized they make sure their shelves are kept stocked they have restrooms clean very quiet relaxing visits when you're in there they have great stuff to look at it have coloring books they have markers crayons pencils all your household needs dishes toilet paper everything you need for a shower everything you could think of great prices staff is very helpful they don't follow you around and watch you and make you feel like you're doing something wrong they treat you like you're somebody they pay attention to you they listen to you they help you if you asked for it even if not if you just walking around and they pass by you they will ask if your finding everything okay and if not if you're having trouble I'll show you where to go they're not rude they are very respectful

In town plus. Used to be a great little place to shop until the cash register lines became worse than Walmart and the second cashier would walk right buy like there wasn't 20 people in line. All to put returns back on shelf. Happens everyday now almost

This is by far the worst Dollar General I have had the misfortune of shopping. All Dollar Generals or notorious for marking items on sale and then over charging at the register. This one is by far the worst. If you value your time and money do not shop here.

Such great customer service at this establishment every time I walk in I am greeted with a friendly smiling face.. not really... I have walked in and said hello to the supervisor and not gotten a reply .. maybe she was too busy..

They are normally extremely busy with only 1 to maybe 2 cashiers working registers. They could work on their "business faces". But all in all A LOT better than the one in Pell City.

I give this location less than a star! Waited in line with only one person in front of me for more than 15 minutes. As the cashier did what looked like the first customer favors on prices discounting everything twice. While two other employees were carrying on a conversation about how their weekend was going. The line stretched down and around with right at 20 customers waiting.

I am a 31 year old grown man with a wife and 3 kids yet I could not buy cigars because I did not have my ID. It was very frustrating because I am clearly of age and that is the only place in central Alabama that has asked me for ID in years. My visit was frustrating and inconvenient because then I had to stop at another store after I left.

We have 4 Dollar General stores nearby, but I always go here. Friendly staff, convenient, and generally well kept. I go about every other day!
