Good luck drivers. This company really sucks appointment is at 2:00 PM got here at 1;45pm. It’s now 4pm. Still waiting for a dock.which there all empty. Oh yea. Load wasn’t even ready. How is this company still in business. If you plan to kill your hours then come here. What a waste of time.

This place is kind of big. I added a Google maps photo with colors, blue is shipping and receiving check in. Red is the on site scale. Green is parking. Checking in was straight forward, make sure you have a "PS 123456" style pick up number. When checked in I asked about overnight parking, the guy at check in said after loading you can park all night. When you get here park in the green circled parking area, walk to.check in, you will come back to your truck and wait for them to come put to you to give your dock assignment. From check in to check out 2.5 hours. I'd like to add I was 36 minutes late, my apt time was 1400, checked in at 1436 checked out at 1704. The guy inside said "worst-case you show up late, we will work you in, we run 24 hours a day"

Great place to load. Fast and simple. Scale onsite that's available to drivers. The guy at the shipping window could be a little more friendly. The forklift driver was a cool helpful dude.

I used to buy these all the time for my dog and I love them I even tried one myself to see how much peanut butter it actually had I could smell the peanut butter just by taking it out of the box this was 2 to 3 years ago this year in 2020 they have changed something probably thinking most people wouldn't notice wrong there is no notice of peanut butter smell now and no taste of peanut butter I am very disappointed I'm sure it's some cost-cutting measure like everywhere else more with less make it go further increased profits you know the story anyway I'm just putting it out there maybe they'll see this and decide to do the right thing and change it back

Drivers beware. I waited three hours, and there was no human to talk to in order to find out anything. The people in the shipping office (a totally different building) are rude, and chewed me out for not paying attention to a sign, which, when I went back to look, didn't exist. I've been to other Sunshine facilities where the experience was better and the people weren't so nasty.

HORRIBLE, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. 24 HOURS TO LOAD A TRUCK IS UNNACCEPTABLE!!!!!kept saying, about to load you soon, all A lie. Made us wait 24 hours.just communicate. Had we known it would've taken 24 hours. We would've been moved on!!!!Cheaters, liars!!!SHAME ON YOU PEOPLE. DISGRACE TO AMERICA!!!

If you are not careful they will load you heavy, their platform scale is at least 1,200 lb under what it actually is. Do not trust their platform scale. Go the 28 miles south to Hamilton, AL @ Loves and get the cat scale weight.

This shipper is one of my favorites. They are always super nice. Super efficient and Justin and crew have gone out of their way to make the pickup easy.Truckers , drivers. Be prepared. Be on time. Have your pickup numbers. Be courteous,,They also have a scale. Which is awesome.Thank you

So I got lucky. Pretty sure cause my load was ready. Checked in at 1300. My apt was 1600. At 1415 was told by spotter to go to dock 2. Shift change at 1500. And at 1600 I was out of there. Same Guys that were sitting waiting for door when I got there were still waiting when I left. Finally I catch a break.

Got here at noon for my 3 o'clock appointment. It's after 3 and still no door. I was the only truck here at noon and they are calling trucks to be loaded that got here after me which was after 3! There were 4 guys in the office not doing anything. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. I want be back I can promise you that!!

I had a hard time getting product out of my trailer. Them guys helped me with it. A good place to unload. But I think that is the last time I'll haul rice bran. Thanks for the help.

Good place to work, great place to make friends and always new opportunities to grow. I started out not knowing anything about feed mills back in 2008. I was as green as green could be. I stacked bags of feed on the ration line. By 2010 I could operate every single line in that mill and was given an opportunity to be a shift supervisor at their treat plant, World Pet. I took the wet side from in the red to the green for the first time since they opened that side. They were in talks of shutting it down and I was very thankful to be a part of that transformation. I was moved to the dry side and continued to flourish and advance that plant. I was put back at the production plant at the feed mill and ran second shift and took them from less than 100k a shift to setting records that nobody has broken to this very moment. I regrettably stepped down for personal reasons and ended up leaving and going offshore as a crane operator. But as of today, after about 8 years I am back. Excited to see what the future holds for me there. I'm home boys!!!!!!!

I know alot ab this place because i worked there twice, in the mill and in the office. If there was a zero star option, I would have chosen that, especially as far as working there in the office (accounting department). The boss is mean, hateful, and unhelpful! There were times they took the entire day to unload some guys, some even waited till the next day. Also, while I worked there, I couldn't tell you how many calls I answered with people complaining about the pet food. Either their pets wouldn't touch it, or it made them terribly sick. They actually fired one of their mill workers because he said he wouldn't feed his dogs their food because it isn't good for them and makes them sick. Which is understandable when the ingredients are corn, flour, grease, and animal fat. (Literally their main ingredients) No actual food, vitamins, or nutrients for animals. The place smells wretched. I would pay for high dollar expensive food to feed strays before I would feed them sunshine mills food. I do not recommend this company's products to anyone for any animal at all.

Dude in shipping and receiving with a bears and camo jacket needs a serious attitude change. I get it you don't want to be there and you got wayyyyy better things to do, but let's get through this so I can go on my way and you can go back to smoking and thinking about hunting or whatever you think about. I don't care really. Other than that fast loading and the yard jockey is Extremely friendly and helpful!

Drivers beware! I deadhead 87 miles to pickup this load. I had a 5:00pm appointment to pickup a load that delivered at 3:00am to a DC in Georgia 6 hours away appointment only. I arrived at the shipper at 3:15pm, and the yard dog came to get me at 9:07pm to put me in a door. I checked my eta, and it was 3:47am so I had to refuse the load. So to avoid sitting on the load from Thursday to Monday I refused it. I lost a day, and I had to cancel my pickup for the next day.

If your a truck driver finding paperwork seems to always be a problem. But the people are nice if you can find them. I've been here several times always the same 1 to 2 hours to get a trailer & go

Awesome facility the folks here are extremely friendly in addition it's awesome seeing a great workforce this facility also is providing a lot of positive job atmosphere if you're ever here in between shifts you'll see it's quite busy but it's refreshing to see this company this organization with an opportunity for individuals being able to support and feed their families

Pretty much the same opinion as other truck drivers, you check in then get forgotten. No one knows when you’ll get loaded, no one cares it seems. There’s plenty of parking for overnight, but do you go to sleep or do you wait for that call that might come any minute. They have a truck scale on site which is handy as the nearest truck scale is 30+ miles away.
