I have used this store alot but today of all days I was surprised, my mom a 70 yr old retired vet had bought an oil heater she needed me to pick it up well she was told by a young gentleman that no they wouldn't help take the heater to load . Now I am older and was just having nuero test done yesterday and have health issues she called to ask them to please load this almost 90.00 dollar oil heater in the car and they said they couldn't accommodate this for her and I . My mind was blown . They always have hometown courteousy and humbleness but to not help out and retired vet and two women with health issues to not help them tote heavy product out .

This is a small-town hardware store. As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a smiling face(s) asking you if you need help finding anything, unlike the big blue/orange box stores further down the road. Ya’ll keep up the great work!

This location is decent and the service is usually good but this last two visits were my last. I brought a window screen that got damaged trying to remove because i locked myself out my house, it had two kinks in railing.I live in Fyffe, I drive all the way out there and drop it off. The screen was still good just needed mounted to two new metal rail pieces. I go to pick it up and they did not replace the kinked bent metal jas we verbally agreed and just attached the screen. I leave and come back and its finally done right on trip 3, I thought.I remounted the window screen and thought i was good to go. Yesterday we had alot of rain and wind which surprisingly hit my front house windows even with a patio over it. This morning while opening the curtains i can see where the screen has slide under the rubber and back lose again for bugs to crawl through.I was expecting this to be fixed permanently as the screens are extremely hard to remove. This should of been fixed right the first time, now i will find a another place to redo them again.tgebone next to it held up just fine the one they fixed didn't..

This is a fairly new very welcome edition to our little town. I love looking there first and buying there if they have what I need instead of going to a larger big box. The knowledgeable staff is very important because I am very limited in my mobility now and so far have looked online or called about items and I then send my wife to pick up. They always have had the item or items waiting for her at the counter because hardware items are not her thing. They always know what I am asking for and even offer helpful advice at times.

Ace offers Key cutting services , I needed a duplicate made so I went by dealership first and bought the OEM key with transponder chip. ( would have cut there but machine not working) When got to Lydia’s Ace with original key, blank from dealership w receipt. Was told Lydia’s Ace wouldn’t cut it because didn’t buy key there so too much liability. I honestly don’t understand a liability issue in my situation when I have the original key and a Factory blank w receipt from dealership.

Lydia's Ace Hardware is one of those places you can always count on to have an odd or hard to find item. The store is always clean and in an orderly condition. The sraff is very friendly, and eager to help in an way possible. With every visit and purchase from Lydia's I have enjoyed my experience. I have to admit I've always wanted to linger and look, and to be honest I don't usually do that in a hardware store!

Last week I went in about an hour to closing time needing to purchase/have tinted 18 gallons of paint - Rich, Dixie and Eli were awesome!!! They were super helpful, quick and diligent! I can not speak higher of this incredible team! Also the Ace Hardware Royal paint gave great coverage and was half the price of its competitors!!! I live 25 minutes away but it was definitely worth the drive!!!!!

There was a friendly greeter as we entered the store which was nice. Not many places have that anymore. He showed us where what we were looking for was. The cashier was nice. We were able to find what we needed.

It's just okay. Most Ace Hardwares have more items. Staff is nice,but I rarely find anything I need here and usually go down the road to a locally owned mom and pop hardware store that has more items.

Great hardware store with wonderful owners and employees. The only reason employees may follow you around the store is to offer their assistance and be at your service. Which is nice when you have to track someone down for help in some of the bigger hardware stores.Always great service at Ace in Rainsville !!

I ordered a chain saw that was on sale ace employees told it would be in and put together the next day ready for me to pick up , I go there the next day to pick it up wait 30 minutes and then was told they didn't have any . After telling me the day before that it would be ready for me to pick up . I'll never go to ace hardware ever again .

Was a great place to visit. Had just went to an other big hardware store where they did not have anything we needed and would not even help. As soon as we got into Ace someone was really to help and had other great and easier ideas than we were going to do. We will be going back to them from now on.

This is a great hardware store w/ great selection! The employees are very knowledgeable and willing to help you in anyway they can! I'd rather shop here than the Big Box store because I know that the money is staying local!
