Milk is always bad. Can’t get anyone on the phone ever. If you haven’t checked yet, CHECK YOU COOLERS PLEASE! It happens so often that employees will tell you it’s probably not gonna last more than a few days. If it’s that hard to keep, why even sell it.

Went to this store on Chalkville Road and they were the most unorganized Dollar General that I have ever gone to! And the cashier that checked me out was very rude and acted as if he did not want be there and did not wanna check me out. I had several items that were priced wrong and he got an attitude because he had to call the manager to correct it. I went back for a second time and he was even worse so I asked him was he having a bad day or didn't want to be there because his facial expressions were showing it (no smiles at all!!) He told me "no, I don't want to be here and plus i ain't supposed to be here anyway it's my day off. Also during that checkout, I was trying to purchase something on the $1 aisle but it rang up $3. He would not sell it to me. I paid for the other item that I had then went to find the M.O.D. He went to check the item and saw that it was on the $1 aisle. He said that he would honor the price because it was on that aisle. I went to pick up something else that I needed that should have been, purchase $10 in those items, get $3. Well that $3 didn't come off even though those items came up to $12, so I said forget it because I was tired of his attitude. He also said about the other items that I was purchasing, "you know these are $3 each right because we can't keep overriding stuff because the register is going to come up $200 short and it ain't going to be on me". I said "so u trying to be funny" and he laughed about it. I didn't think it was funny at all.They were mainly standing around talking amongst themselves or to certain customer friends of theirs. The only ones that was actually courteous was the manager on duty and the female associate that was working. I will never go back to this store again!!

I absolutely hate this locations!!!My three visits there were horrible!!First visit every was in January 2021 they had pancake mix that expired November 2020 on the shelve so i removed it all and took it to the front counter the cashier was so nasty “ Oh you could have just left it back there” I should’ve purchased it and didn’t a major complaint with the health department!!Second visit March 2021 i was shopping for Easter basket materials they told me i could look in the boxes that were on the “Easter aisles” nothing was stocked!!Third visit August 2021 i was trying to purchase cases of powerades instead of singles the workers were too lazy to grab me some so they told me “they only sell the singles” when i saw an open case up front but it was the last one and bought from also i had just got 10 cases a total of 20 from two other Dollar General locations near by!! The store wasn’t even busy at the time i could’ve understood if they were busy.

It's a convenient location and a lot of nearby stores that I frequent. I don't know if cashier was having a bad day but attitude was contemptible. I did find a item on sale that was a plus. Another customer recognized her attitude towards him and said she is like that all the time. The devil is a lie, just quit if your not customer oriented simple.

DOLLAR GENERAL DOES NOT EXCEPT GOOGLE PAY!! I called the Pinson location and asked if they did and they replied, Yes. Just to be sure, when I arrived at the store I asked one of the associates if they accepted Google Pay and again I got an answer of yes. I didn't want to have to waste my time shopping for everything I needed and it not work. Well that's exactly what happened. Employees should know this type of information and this is EXACTLY why. If anything, it's every person above them that really is to blame. Managers, etc should know EVERYTHING about their store. And knowing what types of payment they except should be pretty high on their list. I usually don't write bad reviews for any type of establishment. I just won't return to it, but every mother knows that any type of shopping (well I'll exclude shopping for MY clothes, shoes, makeup) takes up time and that time we'd rather be doing something else. And again, I don't like to write bad reviews, but this also wasn't 2 or 3 items, I had a buggy full. DOLLAR GENERAL DOES NOT EXCEPT GOOGLE PAY!!

Ok for price on paper products if they have them in stock and for convenience but they are always a mess with stuff cluttered in the isles and in the wrong places so watch the price at the register. And never stocked up but alot of that is because the stock is on auto order and management can't order for the flow of their stores. This is a corporate problem but all the stores are messy and unorganized.

The store is not kept in stock well. Every time I go in there they are out of something. But normally I only see 2 people working in there, so I guess they're always short staffed.

Store is cluttered but they usually have what I need. They need more cashiers during certain times, always a long line. I am happy that they have hired associates who are actually friendly to everyone and thank you for shopping at the DG.

Great stuff and great prices... as always. Also found some Russel Stover sugar free chocolates on this visit. My wife is a diabetic so this REALLY makes a difference for us when we go out shopping. Very happy to see Dollar General working to help out those with special needs.. even if it's something as simple as chocolate.

Pretty well setup. The place is kept clean. They have a pretty big section of freezer stuff as well as clearance items. You cant beat the prices with coupons so check out their mobile coupons while your in there.

I hate to leave a bad rating but the people are rude, their is always a line because for some reason they only have one cashier no matter when or what time you go. The store is always in a disarray. Please get some help and work on your customer service skills.

This is the worst location I've ever been in! I went in the store around 9 pm on Sunday Jan 14th and as soon as I walked in the smell from weed about knocked me out! You could smell it all thru the store and stronger as you got to the back of the store near the restrooms. There was a young girl standing on a ladder stocking and coughing and I told her it smelled terrible and she said she smelled it to. Then as I go to check out, the manager said it smelled like that all day and tried to reassure me it wasn't her. It was awful and I had a sinus headache by the time I got out of there! I will never go back to this location!

Dollar General is a hot or miss place. They have some good things, some cheap things. Some of their stores are disorganized and messy. This store was pretty good! Easy enough to find your way around, and easy enough to find what you're looking for. Thanks!

Dollar General pinson Alabama on Hwy,75.. and 79..Hwy--Is a great place to shop clean, organised, great Customer service. But I don't like the new coupon stuff, Why--- because us older people don't know how to use it and not all of us have smart phone's also some of us are just down right old school and we don't understand this new stuff so I feel that it is unfair to us 55 years old and older. Hope the DOLLAR GENERAL supervises or District Manager's can think of us older people out here and help fix that for us we like saving a dime here and their also??? Just saying,,

You can barely get through the aisles. Why do they stock the stores when people trying to shop! That's rude and inconvenient! Also there's never anyone to check you out! I dont do self check out. I dont work for Dollar General!

They rarely have things for gardening and everything is scatter around. No clean at thw cash registration. Don't see the cashiers disinfecting when people leave the chel out line. And there is no one to greet you.

Unlike its sister store on Brewster Rd, the Pinson DG is always stocked, its employees are always friendly, and it’s always as clean as a DG can possibly be cleaned. Sure, it’s junky, but that’s a complaint I have with DG at large and is more a symptom of bad corporate decisions as opposed to problems at the store level.

The only reason this rating has one star is because u have to give a one star rating to right a reveiw. I was at line to check out with two buggies of containers and the young black girl cashier motion other costumers to check out in front of me. I said something and they acted like i wasn't t even standing there. The same cashier did the same thing the other day when i was in there with my two girls.i do not know here have no idea why she did it i do know i go in the at least five times a week. I was purchasing $70.00 dollars worth of containers, i left went to Walmart and saved thirty five dollars on the same container and i didn't have to get an employee to find a top that matched it either and no one was rude that girl does not need to work with people if she can t treat everything the same .i am a thirty year old latio woman i was born here and my kids were too. U would think that someone who surly deals with racism to others and i m sure i m not the only one. Never will i go back i ve been going there for fifteen years and she's new has been there a month no more of my money.

The store itself is laid out well has alot of choices and seems to have more than they used to as far as selected clothes, shies, makeup home items etc, however this particular store from MY experience has been I've usually gone in on the evening shift and have exsperienced a couple of worker's that were rude , somewhat hateful as if you were a burden that they had to deal with you. I think that this and other stores should have a comment box that each person that has a bad exsperience could fill out with a lick"so worker doesn't read and trash the cards" up front and I really would love to see each card taken seriously because alot of times I've stopped completely going into this dollar general because ive been so uncomfortable with the way they have acted torge me.

The manager laughed at a employee that was about to@be screwed on her checkout amount. The total was around 87 and when it got rang up again it totaled 37. After the cashier argued customer down that it was correct amount!

Used this store many many many times.. They are good at keeping stocked, many of their employees are nice also.. Only met a few that weren't & havent seen them since....

Corporate of Dollar General..what is wrong with you?I have shopped at this location for almost 17 years.The good managers you get rid of.This rude disrespectful ,arrogant manager who will walk off when a custumer is in line,throws your receipt down and makes personal calls ..well she must have stock in the company..Never shop here again.Wish I could give zero stars.
