Seems like they don’t like to adopt animals out to me they seen how excited my kids were for a kitten and we wanted the kitten and would pay anything for it and they denied us and questioned us like we were at a police station interrogating us and all because our dog wasn’t fixed yet they got an attitude and denied us over that but it seem like no matter what they were going to the way they interrogating us

Do you know if they can come pick up the pet just became homeless can't get into a hotel unless I have no pets. I don't want to give up my cat but we need a place to stay or he does. 😭

This shelter is such a blessing to the four- legged residents. The staff is very caring and protective. Our area is very fortunate to have Ruth and the other staff members looking after the animals and ensuring they get loving homes.

An awesome shelter that is run by caring staff and volunteers. The animals are fully vetted and spayed or neutered before adoption can happen. These people really care about the animals they bring in and where they end up. There are no corners cut so do not come in here if you are not willing to be a responsible pet owner. I cannot say enough good things about everyone who is involved in this organization. They are an asset to their community.

I drove 2.5 hours to adopt a dog that I fell in love with online. Even though it was after hours, there was a full staff when I arrived at the designated time. The puppy was perfect! There were other beautiful, sweet dogs who were well cared for, and the facility is very clean and nice. They even had a “horror story” rescue dog who was found starving and eating a deer carcass, who was in quarantine. The neglected and abused dog was plumping up, growing hair, and even though she was still nervous, she wagged her tail a little bit when Ruth entered the kennel to pet her. THAT is why this place gets 5 stars from me!

This place is clean, well-maintained, the animals are constantly being walked, and there is the cutest kitty porch here! Definitely worth a visit. And you can tell the people who run it care very much about the animals and the homes to which they're adopted.

I absolutely love this organization and the ladies and gentlemen who work so diligently to care for and place these animals that would otherwise have no chance at life in suitable homes. They don't discriminate. Old, young, sick, healthy.....they try to save every animal they can. I can't say enough good about ODCHS. 💞

This is a great place to adopt a dog or a cat or you can donate money, food or your time to come and spend time with the dogs and cats. They are a no kill shelter and will keep the animals as long as it takes to find them forever homes.
