Grooming Department:Absolutely love the people here! We moved to the area about a year ago after being with our groomer for years! We have 2 airedales that get a specific cut and a new finding a groomer can be a challenge. We got lucky! These guys go a fantastic job! Our dogs look great, they are friendly to me and the dogs, and they are fast. We have used them over the last year and have been very happy. Remy is below and we do have her cut down a little extra because she gets so hot. The after picture is after playing with her sister and water so she looks a little bit of a mess, but they do a great job.

Absolutely disgusting environment. Beta fish literally dead for so long that the water has turned brown other betas water not being cleaned to the point where algae is growing. Fish tanks are horrendous. So many dead fish in the aquariums and some of them are so dirty you can’t even tell what you’re looking at. Staff has no regard for the life of their animals. Quite a shame if you ask me

If I could give every petsmart 0 stars I would..... they sold us a toy.. it said it was safe for bunnies.. they said it was safe for bunnies... it was a toy specifically FOR bunnies.. and it killed mine... she choked on the ropes that came with the toy for 'mental stimulation'.. don't get this if you want your bunny to be alive next time you see it...

We love PetSmart!!! We actually purchased our fish from here. The business is always clean and stocked. Not with animals, but with everything else. There’s plenty of fish though!

I purchased a green parakeet 1 and a half weeks ago from the petsmart in opelika alabama. Three days later my bird died I called they replaced my bird so I got a white one this time. Not even 4 days later my white parakeet died. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up not to purchase any parakeets here. And no it had nothing to do with me. I used to raise parakeets and have had them several times with no issues before until I got these parakeets.This picture was taken the day before my first parakeet passed.

PetSmart was a real KAREN today. I always leave my dog on the truck when I go into places, she loves sitting there and does not leave. So while I was shopping they came over the intercom saying the dog on the truck has to be leashed and brought in or locked in the vehicle because she is a “safety hazard”. After assuring them she is fine and loves sitting there and will not leave I was asked to leave before I was about to spend a good chunk of money. First, who locks animals in a car with no fresh air, do they even care about dogs? Second, what goes on outside of their store, much less my vehicle, is none of their business. Third, I don’t want to bring my dog into that nasty smelling store with who knows what wondering around while Maggie is safe and clean on the truck. I would not trust these people with a goldfish much less tell me how to handle/train my dog. Harassing a customer for a well behaved dog is not the way to be friendly or gain new customers. I would not recommend PetSmart to anyone after the experience I had in their store today. Very unprofessional. Petco is right across the street with the most customer friendly, professional, and knowledgeable employees while having a very wide selection on everything. Needless to say I will not be harassed there again.

We took our fur child to get aPAWdicure PLUS which includes aNail trim & grind, light feet trim & pad shaving, ear cleaning, teeth brushing, cologne spritz & more.After we got home I checked his ears but I could tell that they had not been cleaned. That got me wondering if they had even brushed his teeth.If I take him there again I'll definitely point out how important getting his ears cleaned is because he's a Bassett Hound and I paid for it. PetCo is just on the opposite side so I may just take him there instead.

This is the most knowledgeable and friendly. Store we have been in. The manager was absolutely wonderful. We had quite a few questions and she took the time to answer everyone. We will be going back to this store even though there are ones closer to us.

This has become the pet store we use for all of our pet supply needs. The staff is always eager to assist as soon as I have a question. They are very friendly and knowledgeable. The location is easy to find and has decent parking.

No one offered to help me other than the cat adoption lady. (This review does not reflect her. She was awesome) The prices are high and the care of those animals (outside of the cats) is despicable. No one welcomed us in the store. No one said goodbye. They just looked at my kids and I as if we weren't supposed to be there. Majority of the fish tanks have dead fish all over the bottom of the tanks which leads me to believe they aren't healthy... Especially since you can tell they've been there for a while because the other fish are feeding on them. The goldfish tanks are over capacity and a ton of dead/dying fish are in the bottom. So many that you can't see the bottom of the tank. This is PETA worthy TBH. I wouldn't take a stuffed animal there, much less a real animal. Never in my life have I seen a PetSmart in this condition. Please don't get animals from here.

Staff is friendly, but the aquarium section is horrendous. Full of dead and diseased fish! The tanks have very obviously had no upkeep in a long time. Visit Petco across the street instead. They have great selection and a great aquarium team that knows what they’re doing!*edit to add: I went in for a sale that says “Buy 2 or more, get 50% off EACH”. I get to the register to learn it’s actually buy 2 items, get one item 50% off. Not to mention the sarcasm/snottiness of the register lady. Yet again, Save yourself the trip, go to Petco across the street.

gross every time we come in, from the dead fish in the tanks to the dehydrated ball python with stuck shed to the Bettas with algae literally growing in the cups. the only thing that makes it worse is the employees acknowledging how bad an animal looks and making excuses as to why they can't help them. never looks like this at petco.
