The store is always nice, fresh, and clean! The employees are very friendly and helpful! I love the grooming services for the pets, the groomers are professional and friendly! I hope they get another cat groomer soon, I have 2 that I'd love to bring there. I also have 1 dog and he loves them there! The rewards program isn't bad either.

The fish associate was very helpful and offered to check in the back for additional aquariums and was able to find one that I was looking for. The checkout person was Extremely helpful. There was a sale tag on the aquariums that I bought but I didn't read the small print that said the sale date had ended. The tanks were essentially half price and that is why I chose to buy them. The checkout person did a little digging online and found that the same item was on sale at pets mart and she was able to match their sale price. This really helped me out. We have now purchased over 50 aquariums (but the clerk didn't know that) and I was impressed that she went out of her way, above and beyond to help me.

Overall I have never had a pleasant experience with the staff members at this store, with the exception of two women that work in the grooming department. The check-out employees are incredibly rude without fail…to include the “GM” James. I will not shop there again, nor would I recommend to others!

This is the only store I use to get my Tugz whatever he needs. Lately I've switched my dog to Gentle Giants dog food which has been the best move I've made for him regarding his diet. His allergies have been cut down to a minimum, his itching is all but gone, he eats less because the all natural fills him up like it should, he's regular all the way around and the best part is a 30lb bag lasts him for over 2 months. If you have been wanting to try it but are not sure, take it from a guy that has the most sensitive dog in the world and he loves it. I'll be back in 2 more months to refill.

Val was incredibly helpful! I asked her for help on how to get a garden lizard out of my apartment without resorting to killing it, and her advice of keeping the place cold for a while and checking the warm spots worked like a charm! Still took me 45 minutes to catch it, but it stayed right near the warm window so I never had to chase it around the whole place.

I took my dog to PetSmart for grooming in tiger town and honestly the quality of the groom was nothing compared to the customer service and groom my dogs received today! Both of my dogs smell so fresh and clean and were completely dried when I picked them up.. I will forever be using Petco for my grooming needs

The ladies at the groomer were both really nice. Took my Panda up there to get a bath and a teeth clean. Panda walked out of there feeling better than before.No they don't dye the pups. I did the color myself :)

Do not buy saltwater fish from them. Petco does not allow returns on saltwater fish. Bout a $70 fish there and got it home and it had two bumps on it which I didn't notice and they didn't tell me (I believe it was an internal parasite). Few days later I noticed it also had ich. Then within 5 days the fish died. We called and Josh and team were not helpful and basically told us to f off. I am sure they will not treat the entire system and shut it down as you should when an outbreak occurs.

PetCo has what I’m looking for and I’m often able to take advantage of my PetCo membership discounts. The sales people are always friendly and helpful. The store is neat and clean and products are easy to find.

We love Petco for our furbabies!! Every time we go in we have to visit all the animals! I wish they had it where you could play with them, but I understand why you can’t. I just want to love on all the little furry ones! 😅 We visit very often!!

Hmmm my moms review was somehow deleted but i will write it again my puppy had an appt here about a week ago which he is a 8 pound shihtzu and he does have anxiety towards strangers which is in his records so they called me the previous week and stated they would put him with someone firmer, so i arrived at the store and just stood there for about 5 mins and wasn’t even greeted then the groomer finally came from behind the counter and looked at us and then proceeded to rub my puppy’s leg, why would she do that???? That isn’t how you greet a dog, he then growled at her and she immediately said “nope not gonna be able to do this HES aggressive” a 8 pound shihtzu really??? I spoke with the manager and he wasn’t any help at all African Americans don’t go to this store please and Thank You

I purchased multiple items and the sales associate does not offer me bag instead he hands me all six items. I asked for a bag to put the items and he stated the bags are $0.10. I told him that is fine I will pay the $0.10. He acted as if I was asking for him to do something outrageous. I will be shopping elsewhere.

Super customer service by Connor in the the fish section. He was enthusiastic and helpful to my 12 year old son who had countless questions and request. He also knew so much about fish and tanks. I was shocked to have such a great customer service experience anywhere these days

Get your dog groomed here, I have a golden doodle and grooming is a must, it’s so easy to set up an appointment. It’s not to expensive and is customizable which is a pro, they did a great job! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

They really went downhill with their reptile care. A LOT of abuse and neglect - they're very much animals as cats and dogs are & deserve the same respect! I can't ever get an associate for help and they always have poor attitudes, including management. I rather go to Chewy and save the hassle of travelling to this store.

I scheduled a grooming for 2:00 and was told he would be ready around 5. At 4:45 I was called and told the groomer was unable to finish the cut because they close at 5 PM and that 2:00 was too late to schedule a grooming. However, I booked online and was not informed of the closing time before hand. When I arrived to pick my dog up, he was too scared to get out of the kennel, and the manager asked me to come to the back to get him out. When I got him out of the kennel, he was still wet with no dryer on or water provided. His ears had not been dried and considering his breed, he is prone to ear infections if not cared for properly. Upon paying for my unfinished service, I was charged an additional $10 cutting fee on top of the original bathing and grooming cost of $60. I will not be returning.

We drove from Birmingham AL as a local PETCO employee raved about the selection of fish and coral selection at the Opelika AL location. The selection was nice but the customer service was horrible. The guy working the area only addressed us to tell our autistic son not to sit on a box but willingly assisted the one traditional family in the department. The associate leaned against the wall and just watched us. Quite similar to a prison guard as seen in movies. We were planning to buy 3 Tangs and several Duncan corals but… Bringing this issue to the attention of management wasn’t comforting either. You’d think the manager would offer us some sort of assistance in gathering the items we so desired to purchase. Not even an apology! Equal opportunity customer service is clearly non existent for African American clientele in this store. We’re now driving to the Columbus GA PETCO as this store was also suggested.
