We passed by today hungry for a sub and came across Momma Goldberg's Deli in our travels. I've learned my lesson to read the reviews.I was shocked to see their price to add soup as a combo but I caved and added it anyway. I built my own sub to go with it. My mother in law got a sub and nacho combo. The subs were FLAT! There were two slices of meat on our sandwiches. Not worth the $10-12.00 each. My potato soup was disgusting. There was nothing in it hardly and it was watered down and sour. I asked to get a bag of chips instead but didn't get reimbursed the $3 difference. My mother in laws "nachos" were laughable. Dorito's with cheap white cheese that was already hardened by the time it got to the table. Do yourself a favor and go to Jersey Mike's or Firehouse instead.

What in the world, momma g’s??? I’ve been going to you since the late 80’s. Your food, service, portions keep getting worse and worse every year. I got the buffalo taco. The menu says nothing about that one coming on Doritos. Look at the picture of the vomit flavored, cheap meal you gave us. Soggy. Cold. Tasting straight out of the garbage. Overpriced and not worth it anymore. You were a staple of Auburn football. Now, I don’t know what to think.

Been frequenting Momma G's for over 30 yrs, and believe it or not, some employees make a better sandwich than others. The ladies steaming Momma's Loves tonight know how to make a great meal.If the owner sees this, look them up and make sure Christmas is good. Night and day from some previous employees. Great job!

It may not be the original, but they’ve got you covered.A great place to grab your Momma G’s. The team was very busy, but stayed focused and professional. My nachos and Mommas’s Love were as great as always. Only missed the campus ambience and beer, as this location does not sell alcohol.

Our first time to this location and probably would visit again. Cosy eating environment inside having booths. The turkey sub was decent the cookies and brownies not so much. A good place to go if one prefers a change from Subway. Courteous staff.

Absolutely, unbelievably bad. First time at this location and will be the last. This was supposed to be a “French Dip”. Pretty crazy that you could even feel decent serving such a thing. I never leave reviews but this one was inexplicable.

The nachos were horrible I upgraded to the Buffalo chicken nachos and it was just nasty as u can see there was more peppers than meat... definitely not a place I would eat again and for it to be a to go order she just handed me the container to go but gave others bags.

Usually do not leave a review based on the bathrooms at places however this bathroom was disgusting. Paper Al over the floor, soap dispenser refill was sitting on the sink not in the dispenser container. The toilet looked as if it had not been touched in weeks… horrible. If this is what the bathroom looks like what’s the shape of the kitchen?

Fire every employee (lazy/worthless) and shut this Momma G’s down. Please save every other future guest a heart attack and close this terrible, fake, dollar general brand Momma Goldbergs. I was born and raised in Auburn and can remember eating the Original Momma G’s as a child. One of my favorite restaurants growing up. Obviously “Momma Goldberg” cares more about money and sold out to allow all these fake momma Gs to ruin everything positive they have done in the past. This one of Fredrick rd in Opelika is the worst restaurant in the state of Alabama. They will never answer the phone for a pick up order and everytime you go in the restaurant all the employees are either on their phone, eating a sandwich, or hiding in the back of the store. They are rude and have zero respect for a costumer. I’ve seen better employees at a landfill.Oh and the food sucks. Sandwiches have one piece of meat, 2 strands of lettuce, half a tomato, and a half gallon of mayonnaise.

I have ate many a sandwich at this Momma Goldberg's location. Typically, they are decent, but today, I walked in to be greeted by a server with absolute hate and bitterness in their exchange with me as a customer. I did not know this person who served me or what was bothering them, and I had not been in the store for more than seconds before I was confronted as though I was the worst person in the world. In general, if someone is going to work in the service industry and you are having a bad moment, you have to step back and gain your composure before boring hate holes through the customers with your eyes for no reason. Let's keep in mind that the sandwich you are selling can be bought down the street at the grocery store for less than half the price at you are selling it for: so why exactly does anyone buy a sandwich at your shop? What is intrinsic in the exchange at a restaurant that makes it worth paying extra for a meal? I have endured minor issues, such as my sandwich being made wrong from this resturaunt before and still come back, but I won't be back for another serving of hate glare from some stranger that doesn't know me and has no rational basis to think I have caused them offense.

I’m not typically one to leave a review if it wasn’t a good experience, but this one needs to be shared. We walked in to the eat with our 4 kids who were so excited to eat at Mama Goldbergs. They picked out their chips and had sat down to eat. I stood at the counter for a few minutes with 4 workers working the line making food and finally had to ask if anyone was going to acknowledge us and/or take our order. The girl said “yeah sorry, we’re just really busy”. So I stood there another few minutes and another family walked in and the same worker looked at us, obviously working hard but said “I’m sorry, but it’s gonna be about 10-15 minutes”. I then asked “10-15 before you’ll take our order?” And she responded with “yeah sorry we have a bunch of orders we are working on”. Note: there were only 3 booths with people in them.I get being busy, but with people waiting in the store, one of the 4 people needed to have taken our order or at least been more apologetic.I took the kids to the car, but the girl stopped working for a minute to check us out for our 4 bags of chips. We are now driving home with 4 disappointed and upset young children. We definitely won’t be coming back to this location.As a business owner, I felt the company should know that this type of service isn’t acceptable.I give 2 stars because we do like the food.

I love this restaurant and love having one in Opelika! I am a mom of a one year old and even love taking my kid here… today I made an order on the app and was given a pick up time and drove up to a dark store front. It was 7:10pm on today Sat 9/4. This has happened a couple other times to us. I understand everyone is low staff but there’s got to be a way to tell your customers in the app that store is actually closed earlier than supposed to be.Edit: 1/30/22 it’s been several months and we’re still coming to this restaurant but I have one thing to say, if you have Highchairs you should have changing stations in your bathrooms.

This was my first experience with Mama Goldberg's. The service was fast and the employees were polite. The food was very good. Only issue, all the tables have a weird curve to them, so they slope down on either side. I tried to slide my plate closer to me and almost dumped it in my lap. This did not affect my over all experience. Just kinda odd.

My first time eating here was years ago. Don't recall caring for it. We were given a gift card for them and decided to give them another try. I got the grilled chicken salad. It was good. I asked what a the baked potato salad was and the lady responded, "It's a baked potato salad.. I don't know what's in it. It's already in a container." I don't like how she responded maybe she was new or something. But other than that its ok.

I ordered through DoorDash from the Tiger Town location for the very first time. The food arrived in a timely manner BUT the entire order was wrong. I called and spoke with Shauna who was very nice and helpful! She explained the reason for the wrong breads and ingredients missing which on the DoorDash app it shows options they don’t even have. My only complaint was I wish they would have called me when they didn’t have a particular bread I requested etc. After a conversation about everything the result was we could come and pick up our order that was being remade, even the nachos which was the only thing right in the order, or we could get a refund. We had the order remade and was able to keep the food from the original order AND was offered free desserts at the store. Thank you Shauna for making our experience great! Btw the remade/corrected food was great!

Stopped in for lunch on an out of town work trip and had the buffalo nachos. Food was good but a fairly small portion, especially for the price. For the same money you can get a load of BBQ nachos anywhere. The uniqueness of the Doritos nacho chips saved it from a 3 star

I always loved my Momma G's and Momma's Love. I have only been to this location a couple of times. Every time I go, the store is clean, I am greeted with a smile, and my order is filled quickly and without mistakes. They usually bring it to my table with a smile, too. The last time I was there, it was mid-afternoon, so they were a bit slow. The young lady behind the counter came out and started filling napkin containers. What more could I have asked for. (No way she could have known I just used my last napkin!)

This Momma G's was not as good as the original. For some reason, the $6.99 "supreme nachos" come as a tiny salad with a few round tortilla chips buried at the bottom with giant chunks of poorly chopped onions.Also, my husband's Cuban was a stale, rubbery sandwich with really old, unpressed bread and a tiny slice of meat. Too rubbery to chew and flavorless, so I asked him to return it and get a better one. It was like the bread on both of our sandwiches had been sitting out for days...definitely not worth the $20++ we spent on the meal.I'm not sure why they kept calling my husband Carol either without apologies or trying to fix it.Not sure if we'll go to any of the locations again if this is the lack of care going into the food and service.

Do NOT bother coming here if you are traveling and have someplace to be. They do not care. I stood in a short line for more than 10 minutes to place an order. I waited 30 minutes for them to fill the order. My order was ONE SILLY SANDWICH. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE ONE SILLY SANDWICH TO GO? Horrible, horrible service. I was only trying to eat better than Wendy's or McDonald's but I ended up having to make an hour stop. Do not come here until they get it together.

Piss poor customer service. The manager Amber has no clue on what she is doing. The food isn't all that great. Slow as hell in making your order. Wouldn't recommend anyone going to any Momma Goldberg's, go to subway for better food.
