I can't say enough good things. The staff are all rock stars and truly love what they do. My two pups Frankie and Wrigley get so excited on days they get to go to country kennel. It gives me such peace of mind knowing my fur babies are treated like family when they are away from me. I will always recommend country kennel.

This was an awesome experience for my new rescue dog and for me. First place I've ever boarded for a week, and my dog was calmer, happy, and he looked amazing when I picked him up.The owner and all the staff are friendly, super helpful, and wonderful with the dogs!! My dog had never been trained at all. I'd only gotten him from the shelter and then picked him up from the vet after his neuter, so no time to acclimate him. They were so good with him!!!Definitely recommend!! AAAAA+++++

First time leaving our girl for overnight boarding- she was in great spirits when we picked her up, wasn't dying of thrist or exhausted (like some facilities in the past), and it was during spring break so they were quite crowded - this is a great facility for you dog or cat - will definitely go back!

The people here were very friendly and my dog seemed to enjoy her stay! My dog is kind of anxious but they called and let me know how she was doing and that she was feeling a bit anxious but I think it's cool that they tried to comfort her and make her feel better until I got there. They held her for a while and did her good! I'll be using this place often and I do recommend it to other dog parents!

I am responding to the post by Kathrine McGraw.....I am the person that was in the parking lot when the alleged incident happened. For the record I can drive and common sense tells a driver that you park between the lines in parking spaces. There are NO lines in front of the porch much less right in front of the driveway. I saw the owner speaking to Ms. McGraw, she never raised her voice. I saw no behavior that indicated the owner was being confrontational in anyway. I have been using Country Kennel since the day they opened and have had nothing but great experiences from EVERYONE there. My fur baby loves the staff and the staff spoils her rotten which is perfectly okay with me. I highly recommend all the services they offer. As for the parking...it is what it is, and yes the parking lot is small, but just do your best and park in the lined spaces.

Decker has spent three night at Country Kennel and seems to have done very well. I like that they have private runs and don't mind warming his homemade food! We plan to continue using them

I would give less but it won't let me. They kept our Yorkie from 8:30 to 4:30 and wondered why she had a problem with her. Calling her a puppy, she's almost 11 yrs. Old. They were told she had major anxiety problems. Her haircut is the worst I have ever seen. It's a whack job. None of it's even. I will never go there again. No recommendation. We called about it and their reply was she had trouble with the puppy. If you can't handle the dogs you don't need to be in this business.

Our baby loves the ladies there. We don't clip Peaches nails ourselves any longer be cause she acts like an octopus. But the ladies at Country Kennel she loves them so much she just says here is my paws and thank you.

Great place for your fur babies to stay/ play! I haven’t used them for boarding yet but I use them for daycare and they are amazing! My baby is always so happy to go and leaves with a happy face. She was very scared on her first day and one of the employees took the time to gain her trust which made me happy to know she was in safe and caring hands. The place is very well kept and clean. Staff is super friendly as well :)!

We boarded both of our one year old basset hounds for four nights here. It was their first time being away from home. I was pleasantly surprised when we picked them up. They were in great spirits and not exhausted. We highly recommend this place and plan to board our pups here in the future.

booked day care and was told when I dropped off to board they were full for the day. So booking it doesn't give you a spot? So not 100% great on that but everything else was fine. Edited to Reply to owner comment I changed my review to 5. Thank you for letting me know about the 9am cut off. Had I known I would have had them there at 9. They were dropped at 930. My only suggestion would be letting people know when booking. Thanks for the reply and letting me know.

My 2 cats stayed here for 12 days and seemed to be very well taken care of! Every-time I called to check in on them, they let me know how they were doing and were very friendly. The staff are nice and the building is very clean.

Our dogs stayed there last year and they were very well taken care of. The people are very kind. They treat your animals like they were their own. The price is real reasonable as well.

I was nervous about boarding our babies bc they arent social. We are fairly new to Alabama and dont get company so they dont take to people much. We needed a place that could be loving caring and understanding. We found country kennels and took a tour and liked what we seen but was a little nervous about what our babies would do. We left them and prayed it would have been ok. They were AMAZING. they kept us updated and kept us informed on the progress of our babies. Before you knew it they were playing and socializing and even being held and hugged by the staff there. I am so amazed at how things worked out and this made it easier for us to enjoy our new grandbaby . Thank you for everything .

I chose to board my dog at CKR because of a recommendation from my vet's office. The facility is owned by a former staff member and there are several people from the vet's office who I (and my dog) already knew and trusted at CKR.They're conveniently located, clean and reasonably priced.

Don’t know what they do, but I do know that our dog loves it there as she pulls me to the door trying to get inside and always excited to go back. Really comfortable boarding her with County Kennels. Thanks for what y’all do!

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL THEY DIDNT HAVE MY SON'S DOG IN THE COMPUTER,AND SHE HADN'T BEEN BATHE THIS WAS AT 1108 AM THEY CLOSE AT 12 AND THE RECEPTIONIST KEPT LETTING ME KNOW SHE WAS FILLING IN FOR SOMEONE ELSE, AND THAT SHE REALLY DIDNT HAVE A CLUE AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON,WHEN SHE FINALLY FOUND MY SON'S DOG SHE STARTED RUSHING ME TELLING ME THEY CLOSE AT 12 AND THAT THEY HAD TO GO TO LUNCH THE NERVES OF THIS ONE,SO I SAID SHE NEEDS A BATH SHE TOLD ME OK AND THAT THEY WOULD DRY HER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE,THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST TERRIBLE EXPERIENCES AND SHE DIDNT OFFER ANY DISCOUNT EVEN THOUGH I ASKED SHE BRUSHED IT OFF SAYING THAT SHE'S NOT ARTHUR TO DO SO OK WELL GET SOMEONE WHO CAN. I JUST ENDED WAITING IN THE PARKING LOT.
