My baby Baggins is an anxious baby (11 years old) but he seems to love seeing Liz and getting groomed. She always greets Baggins with “ hey Bilbo Baggins… sweet baby …mommy will be back soon … let’s get cleaned up for mommy”. Baggins is still nervous but will relax a little hearing a friendly and safe person.

These ladies are the very best! They genuinely care about the comfort and care of your pet while they are providing excellent grooming. I've been using them for at least 14 years and now that my sweet Apache (pomeranian) is 14 years old, he is fragile. Jamie takes excellent care of him and does a great job.

The staff is incredibly friendly, and very loving towards my dog. They take the time to be gentle with him, and try to keep him calm during the entire process of his nail trims. My dog has ruptured discs in his back in the past, and to see the level of care and attention for his needs always warms my heart and makes me feel confident that not only will his nails be trimmed perfectly, but also without any threat of injury. They take walk-ins as well as appointments and for times when you have a busy schedule and find a moment, that is invaluable. Highly recommend, highly praised, and highly thankful for this business!

She smelled good but I paid $50 and they didn’t even do what I asked. I travelled 40 minutes two trips and it was a waste of time. Called and said I could bring her back. Oh yeah sure waste more of my time.

This place has been so consistent the entire year that I've brought my pup! Their pricing is fair and has not changed, the staff is always polite on the phone and in person and they are always super intentional about caring for my dog like she's their own! Pro tip: the earlier you bring your dog in (7am usually), the sooner you'll get them back. Thanks guys for being great!

I've been taking my shih tzu here for probably 3 or 4 years now. I've never had any problems. They always treat her well. I've seen some of the reviews that speak poorly of them however, speaking from my experience, I have had a positive grooming each time. My dog mimi has had quality hair cuts, and never had any injury. They staff is polite every time I take her.

I have been taking my Pomeranian here since he was a puppy and the do a great job. It is not always easy to find someone to cut a Pomeranian correctly, but they’re awesome. They also truly love the animals and are very sweet to them. I know my Pomeranian is very squirmy and not the easiest. However I feel I am dropping my dog off with groomers that are gentle, understanding and truly sweet to my dog.

Jenny did a great job grooming my Boykin Spaniel. She carefully clipped him with attention to details like his back end and underneath his ears, and got him in on the same day I called. He seemed to really enjoy the experience and was very happy when I picked him up. I will definitely plan to use them again in the future!

I took my cat to get groomed and they asked me how I wanted him to be groomed (never have been asked this by the other groomers from different states) and explained exactly what each way is done. I chose my look and when I got back he was absolutely the most handsome I have ever seen him!! The owners and staff are so nice and very friendly! I will definitely take him back.Thanks Claws and Paws!

Unfortunately, this place is not safe or reliable. Read back through the comments here and on their Facebook and Yelp pages. It's absolutely horrendous some of the things they put animals through, resulting in at least one death, several vet visits, cases with fleas and infections. Neglectful, abusive, unsanitary... Grooming a dog requires a lot of patience, love, and care. If you cannot handle a dog, it is in everyone's best interest to deny the job. If a dog comes to you with life-threatening injuries, you report it. But you dropped her dog, didn't you? You dropped her dog, and you won't take responsibility.

I’ve been taking Dixie and Saban (my 2 shih tzu’s) to Claws and Paws for 6 years. They started as a baby, their 1st haircut. The staff absolutely spoils them. They have always loved them and can’t imagine them ever mistreating them. I’m very particular, They have never even had a flea, they sleep with my husband and I and always smell so clean when I pick them up. I trust them completely and you should too!

Everyone was great! My mini schnauzer was unruly and difficult to cut because he had never been groomed. I was contacted just in case they had an issue getting him taken care of. They managed to give him his cut without much difficulty.very nice staff. A++

My dog was dropped off at 10am, my dad goes to pick him up around 3. They gave my dog to the wrong person and made me pay $45 for the visit. They also made the other guy pay another $15 for his dogs visit. I honestly feel like both me and the other guys visits should have been free. Why is there no labeling for each dog? How do you give someone else’s dog away? Also they didn’t even give him the style we asked for. We ask for a mohawk and instead he has a mullet. I will no longer be spending my money with them.

Dropped my dog off for a 10am last minute appointment and after calling 3 times to check on him was able to pick him up SEVEN hours later. They failed to inform me the place is cash only. My dogs cut was fine besides his ears were left really long. But my biggest complaint would be how thirsty my dog was when he got home. It was clear he was not given any water the entire day. Needless to say, I will not be returning.

This has been a consistently decent place to get my yorkie groomed. Personal advice would be to bring your animal in very early as they do not let them out to use the bathroom. When they are backed up it can take up to 8 hours to get them back.

Okay, where should I start. This was my first time using this horrible place. And also my last. I took me miniature poodle there for a hair cut and to get his nails clipped. Well when I picked him up, two paws had been clipped but the other two wasn't. So I asked could they cut the other two. Little did I kno they had clip one nail on the back to much. Got him home he didn't want to walk. He slept all day. To make a long story short. I took him on Friday and Saturday morning his paw was infected. We were out of town And has to take him vet. Which agreed with me not taking him back. They could have told me they had clipped him to much. So I could have paid attention to it and it might not have gotten infected. I'll never take him back and if any one all about a groomer I'll act like they don't exist. Horrible people they need to go back to groomers school.

They were very nice and the haircut wasn't half bad (not the best but definitely not the worse he's ever had).The reason for the low rating is my dog has been scratching, biting and licking his entire body for the past few weeks, post grooming. He's been groomed at least 6 times before this and I've never had an issue with itchiness. He doesn't have fleas, no food allergies and did not have any skin irritations before the grooming. I believe it's the perfume that they add, it smells really good but it's terrible for their skin. I've given him multiple baths, calming conditioner and hydrocortizone for dogs and his itchiness is relentless.Petsmart is no better but at least I didn't have this issue with them. Why can't I find a decent groomer in this town!?

I shared our story on Facebook, but will share here as well. Levi was dropped off at Claws and Paws (along with two other small dogs, a yorkie and maltipoo) on Friday, October 23, 2020 for a regular grooming. He has been groomed many times before. Afternoon rolls around and it was time to pick up Levi and the other two dogs. Once in the car with the three, it was apparent that something had happened to Levi. His jaw was hanging open and he could not close it. Claws and Paws first stated that he was dropped off that way (not true) and then stated that maybe he had been in a fight. After many changes to the story of how this happened, we are convinced that whoever was doing the grooming had a grip around Levi’s mouth tight enough to “crush” both sides of his jaw-these are the words out vet used. Levi wasn’t a young dog but he was 8, and has a lot of years ahead of him. Unfortunately, his little mouth would have never been able to heal properly and we had to make the heartbreaking decision to put him to sleep. He went in for a trim and came out with broken bones. There are no cameras so I would not recommend taking your pets here!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!!! My dog has gotten fleas from here TWICE! I'm so upset cause they do a great job on her hair but twice in a row she has had fleas when I picked her up.

Never had a problem the first two times. However, this time my shih tzu's cut was uneven and she had been cut above her eye. It needed medical attention, but they didn't bother to mention she had been hurt.

I feel sorry for my dog. They literally used clippers around his eyes and nose and there are gaps all over his head as if he was struggling. He has pink bare spots the size of quarters between his eyes. Very poor decision. There's no doubt they should have used scissors. I'm very disappointed and it just makes it harder to trust groomers with my dog.
