I tried them after seeing the billboard on 69 south. They answered, gathered my info and was prompt to call me back to schedule my grooming appointment. Hannah was thorough to go over any concerns, questions, and issues with grooming. She was polite, and took extra time since our pups were timid. AJ got a tie and smelled so good, I even bought the blueberry spray they used. The facility was clean and well taken care of.

There is no other way to express my review other than "The best dog boarding in and around Tuscaloosa". Our fur babies have been to several dog boarding in the past and we have always noticed that they were stressful once they were collected from the boarding. We did not know the reason until after they were kept at the West Alabama Dog Boarding and Grooming. This is probably because of the carelessness toward the dogs at other boarding. However, this is the only place where I saw our babies were genuinely happy. The owners of this place seem to be very loving/caring to all the dogs. Moreover, the owners of this place kept sending pictures of our fur babies every morning which added to our peace of mind while we were away from our babies. Our babies were also very clean and happy when we collected them. Thank you West Alabama Dog Boarding & Grooming, we had our trip to Florida without any worries because of you. We will highly recommend them to anyone looking for a short term or long term boarding.Cheers,Proloy and Kerline

Its there company policy that no pit Bulls or dogs with pitbull in them. This is a shame that people are so close minded the hotel in this little town doesn't allow dogs and although i can put my dog outside chained to my truck while I'm filling out my paperwork and doing orientation that last a couple days so I just dont want my Lil baby to be chained up he's potty trained and very loving and friendly he's very socialized with people and other dogs due to my type of work I'm required to travel so he is in day care allot hes up to date on all vaccinations I even have a kennel for him if the lady needed to go anywhere but there was not any chance at all as soon as I named the breed I couldn't even finish my sentence. I understand company policies but just cause it may be a company policy that's been put into action for a reason. Yes you can train a pitbull to be a aggressive dog but you can do that with any dog pits just got a bad reputation and due to that and that alone there is no chance for any help. I'm sorry but if you love dogs enough to work or own a dog kennel than I would think that a 4 month almost 5 months old puppy who's house trained. Is forced to be chained outside cause of the title of his breed its not the dogs fault that some people ruined there good name. My dog is a lil baby and he's part of my family i love him and treat him like a child as I do not have any children's he's very spoiled. And my work requires to travel I wish things were different but there not as of right now I gotta take what I can get but this is ridiculous because it's company policy Is the excuse why I couldn't even finish my sentence so I said obviously your not an animal lover cause I don't care what breed or type if I know there's an animal in distress I want to do what I can to help. It's not like I want to have him There full time just 2 days to do my training that I leave for my actual job location in burkville where the sweet lady there is excited to meet him and loves pitbull and says how ridiculous it is they got the reputation they did just takes one bad apple to ruin the bunch policy or not maybe lead me to somewhere I could go or just meet the dogs and assess there temperament before you say it's policy and turn away someone willing to pay so my dog is comfortable and not having a chance of heat stroke or worse. This company isn't one I would recommend if they care more about the title of a breed than the dog itself than who knows how there treating your dogs behind closed doors good luck people mabe thell have there policy fixxed or the right people to run the place one day lord willing. I was about to book this place until I saw that they do not board pit pulls. We have a pit bull that is a big ball of love. I think any business that discriminates against pit bulls, or any other breed for that matter, deserves a terrible review so I felt the need to express that here.
