I can’t say enough good things about River Paws! They were wonderful with our 4 fur babies. Amanda is the absolute BEST! We were gone for a week so I called a few times to check on them. Amanda knew exactly what was going on with each of them and was so nice each time I called. Brandon is great too! You can just tell they genuinely love dogs. We requested baths for every one and when we picked them up they looked and smelled so good. They were also very happy and you could tell they had all been well taken care of and loved on. River Paws will be our go to place from now on!

Our dog, Rosco, absolutely loved going here! Every time we dropped him off for daycare or boarding, we knew he was guaranteed to have fun with his pup friends and with the kind staff. We just moved out of the area, so we have to find a new place for Rosco to go - it’s going to be very difficult to find a place we trust as much as River Paws. I love River Paws! I started taking my rescue pup here and she has matured so much just from going to daycare daily and being around other dogs. Brandon and the staff are awesome they will always try to help, I can tell you that. They are super patient with dogs who have anxiety or trauma. If you on the fence and don’t know what to do give it a try! It’s totally worth it!!

Brandon and crew are amazing! They go above and beyond. My dog recently went blind, almost overnight, and Brandon took special care to help her adapt. My big boy, Sampson, he actually had to coax/partially carry inside to rest and take a break...and that is a lot because Sampson is super stubborn and doesn't like to quit! I won't take them anywhere else! Both Mena (pictured) and her big bro absolutely LOVE going to River Paws. All I have to say is "River Paws" and they go nuts! So glad to have a safe place to take my babes to play!

This place is great! Brandon really cares about his boarders and makes sure they have the most clean, comfortable and enjoyable stay possible. My two papillons seemed to have loved their stay and play. I was even able to stop by- as often as I wanted- to take them on a walk. I would definitely recommend this place.

I was extremely disappointed in this place. The reviews online was promising except for one bad review. I called and spoke with Brandon about my concerns and he seem very nice. Answered all my questions and concerns. I went into see the facility. I wrote everything. Out on paper like Brandon said. I even reiterated in person Ans had my friend reiterated it too when she dropped off my dog. I picked her up to find she had green gunk on both eyes and one was almost shut. Took her to the vet to confirm she contracted a bacterial infection. Also, she lost .5 lbs and have kennel cough. My dog is vaccinated and up to date. I’m disappointed that I stated to hand feed her and clearly this wasn’t done bc she lost weight but all her food and treats were gone. I even stated how much to give her in treat wise and she is a 4.5 lbs yorky that doesn’t eat much but her food was gone. I don’t think they cared enough to even wipe her eyes with a warm compress. And maybe they were too busy to properly do want is stated. I had several clients who was looking for boarding for their babies this summer and sadly this is how my baby was treated.

Totally trustworthy, clean and safe place for you pet. We traveled from Florida for an event and it was a first time for our dog to stay at a doggy daycare and he loved it. I noticed many dogs were being dropped off daily so the place must have a good reputation locally. The check in and out is fast, the staff is lovely, the place is very clean and the dogs are happy what else can you ask for? I am really grateful, we could travel with our dog and still attend events and activities while he was at daycare.

They have a kind staff. Ut i will say we are not coming back.Our dogs were left in the care of River Paws Pet Resort for three days. When we picked them up ,one of our dogs didn't look right. He could barely walk. Later that day he had seizures and have to be taken to the emergency vet. He was extremely dehydrated and didn't eat. We didn't get any calls about his health or wellbeing during his stay. With that we will not be using river Paws again.

We have used them twice now, and using them again in November. Brandon is amazing with the animals, our dogs LOVE coming here, honestly you can tell they don't really want to leave. They are organized, clean, and very friendly and you can tell each person there truly loves animals! They have suite options as well, grooming, training, and they go above and beyond to make sure that your pet is happy and active while they stay. It truly is a pet resort!

We absolutely love visiting River Paws! We have a 94 lbs German Shepard that hates getting bathed and brushed at home. Half the time we have to bathe him outside because we cannot keep him in the tub at home. On top of that, he absolutely HATES his nails being clipped. Whenever we take him here, he walks in happy and leaves looking fresh & clean. In addition, he gives them absolutely no problem with clipping his nails. I wish he was as good for us as he is for River Paws. Thank you guys for bending over backwards to keep our Mav happy whenever he comes in for a day of daycare and a bath! I cannot tell who loves it more, him or us!!!

Was very fortunate to find River Paws Pet Resort! Brought my dog to a work conference in Montgomery, while visiting. The love for dogs is so obvious when you walk in the door by the owner. Also very transparent and honest about the flu that was going through Alabama at the time, which made me trust him more with my dog due to the care and honesty provided. This is my first place to choose when going back to Montgomery.

My dog loves River Paws. Brandon (owner) goes above & beyond to make this place feel like a welcoming home away from home. The way he treats each and every pup and their owner is so completely unlike anything I would ever expect from any business. He has such a huge heart! It's obvious they all truly love every dog that walks through that door and will do everything in their power to see every owner smile and every tail wag. They give the best baths, their facility is uniquely designed to create a feeling of peace & safety for even the most anxious of fur-babies. And their prices are the most fair & reasonable of any place I've found in Alabama, so far. Definitely a 5-star resort!

We've boarded our dog Jethro here at River Paws twice before, and both time have been great. Before this, we'd only ever boarded him once and I was terrified to do it again, because the place we'd entrusted him to had returned him to us completely emaciated and with several illnesses. We took a chance on River Paws when I had to be in Montgomery to take the Bar while my husband was out of town. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and great with Jethro. We got him back happy, healthy, and clean.Last week, we had to book a reservation only a day in advance to fly home due to a sudden death in my family. They accommodated us with no complaints, and made an extremely stressful time a little easier for knowing we didn't have to worry about our pup. Once again, he was returned to us happy and in perfect condition.I feel I should mention, because of the couple of negative reviews about dogs coming home dirty, that they have always warned us at drop-off that they can get a little dirty playing outside, and offer the option of a bath.Overall, they are affordable, professional, and kind. As long as we live in Montgomery, this is the only place I'd bring my dog.

I regularly bring my dog here for daycare and I feel so comfortable leaving her with River Paws because of how wonderful these folks are to her. I can be a bit scattered and River Paws always tries to make time for my last minute bathing or boarding requests. 10/10 would recommend!

We love River Paws! My parents take their dog there to get groomed and love Brandon so much! He’s so willing to work with us, and always makes sure we are satisfied with his haircut! I’ve also taken my dog there for a bath and daycare because it’s so convenient to my office! When I dropped my pup off I made sure to tell Brandon that she hasn’t been around a lot of dogs she doesn’t know lately so she might be kind of scared. When I picked her up, he told me did great and he just started her off with a couple of other dogs, and she smelled amazing! It’s also nice to check in on the cameras anytime during the day! I would recommend River Paws to anyone and everyone!

Absolutely incredible! My pups love spending their days at River Paws. They come home so happy and tuckered out. Excellent care and love for my pups while they stay there for daycare and during boarding overnight. HIGHLY recommend, you and your pup will be very happy with the service and care. We love this place for our German Shepard/black lab mix. She is high anxiety but she gets excited to go here. We have boarded her here before and they took great care of her. She would get to play with all the other dogs during the day and they gave her her medicine when needed. Also their grooming prices are really reasonable and they do a fantastic job. They are just the nicest people and love dogs so much.

My family and I came from Atlanta and this was our second time using River Paws Pet Resort. Love, Love, Love it! Our dog Jake is finicky so we were a bit concerned in the beginning, but Brandon was amazing! Jake took to him right away which both surprised and delighted us☺️.We recommend this business highly!The only downside is they close early on Saturdays, otherwise they are fantastic ❤️👍

My wife and I use River Paws often and absolutely love it. Brandon and Mandy are fantastic. I don’t think I’ve met anyone who loves dogs more, nor do I often find people that have incredibly positive attitudes like them. The services are great, the customer service is unrivaled, and the price is quite reasonable.
