We have boarded our dog here several times. At first it seemed all went well.Something has changed. When we picked up our dog, her bed had been urinated on. This had not happened before. We talked with the kennel manager because we were concerned she was not being taken out in a timely manner. Awhile later, this same situation occurred again.We were told they were treating her properly and this could happen. We had to unexpectedly board her 2 days this week and when we picked her up this morning, her bed was given to us wrapped in trash bags and we were told we needed to wash it that she had urinated on it. When we got home and unwrapped the bed, not only was it wreaking of urine, there was poop all over it and it was way past needing a wash. It appeared our dog had laid in this. Also, we took her food and there was food remaining in her bag so we’re not sure if she was fed properly. We purchased a new bed. We will not be boarding here again. We feel our pet was neglected here.

Beautiful facility and AMAZING staff! Everyone is courteous and so kind. From the front office to the techs, daycare staff, and doctors this was a phenomenal experience. I highly recommend Goodwin for anyone looking for veterinary care.

In Montgomery on contract for work and my cat started having urinary issues. Able to get an appointment that day. I was put in a room right away. They assessed my cat very quickly and we came up with a plan for treatment. This cat has several medical problems and they contacted his specialist from Memphis to coordinate care. Very pleased with everyone I was in contact with here. Would definitely recommend.

NOT VERY GOOD. Healthy dogs went in for 9 nights of stay while we went on a business trip. When we returned, one of our dogs was acting poorly and has kennel cough. Had to go back and pay more for medicine to help our dogs. We knew ahead of time the high price for the stay of our dogs, but thought this place was worth the price because we love our dogs. In the time our dogs were there, under the care of Goodwin, one of our dogs got sick and we did not get a call. She has kennel cough and she was not treated and we were not notified. We got her home and she has been so sick and Goodwin wants to charge us more money for medicine she should have been given while there and we should have been notified!!!! This is not the place to take your animals if you want good care for them. The price for the boarding is very high and the service was NOT WHAT WE PAID FOR!!!! Now our dog is sick and we have to pay more money for the POOR CARE they received while there. THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE IF YOU LOVE YOUR ANIMALS!!!! We paid a lot for proper care and did not receive it!!!! NOT A GOOD PLACE!!!!

We couldn’t be more happy that we found a place that loves our doggies as much as we do. When we go out of town overnight, Goodwin is where we take Logan and Max! Once they realize that they are going there, they have a hard time containing their excitement!

NOT VERY GOOD!!!! We went on a 9 day business trip and had to board our dogs. While there, one of our dogs got sick and we were not notified and she was not treated. She has Kennel Cough, and we were not notified and our dog suffered. When we contacted Goodwin we were told to come by to get medicine, which we were also CHARGED FOR. For the high price we paid for boarding our dogs we expected much better service. We paid a very high price for care of our dogs, and received very POOR SERVICE!!!!We should have been notified that our dog was sick and not have been charged for the medicine to treat her. BUT WE WERE!!!!NOT HAPPY AT ALL!!!!

Goodwin Animal Hospital always take such good care of my babygirl. She’s definitely a handful but you can tell that they take pride in caring for all the four-legged babies. Definitely recommend.

We took our dog here for grooming services and were disappointed in every way. Honestly, if I could give a zero star review I would.We told the groomers they would likely need to give her an anxiety pill because she doesn’t love grooming, which they said they would do. Then they called us back two hours later (without having given her the meds we requested) to tell us our dog was “not having it” and we needed to come get her with no haircut.Against my better judgement we agreed to bring her back the next week after we had given her some anxiety meds ourselves. I 100% regret that decision. They again insisted the dog was not cooperating and ended up sedating her to finish the haircut. (I will admit she can be a bit reactive, but she’s been groomed elsewhere with absolutely no problems so it seems to be an experience issue with their groomer more than anything.) When we went to pick up our dog the second time, they had ignored our explicit instructions that her tail needed to be trimmed and had essentially shaved the rest of her body (which we had emphatically said we did NOT want). She also has a decent sized cut on her neck which they brushed off as no big deal.After two attempts, they essentially managed to unnecessarily traumatize our dog so we will have more difficulty getting her groomed in the future, did a terrible job of the grooming we hired them for, and charged a ridiculous amount of money for it all (almost $300 for simple grooming). I will never take a pet back to this location for any reason.

We have loved Goodwin Animal Hospital for years! This is our 3rd time living in this area and we keep coming back to them. Everyone is super friendly and will go above and beyond to help you. When we had to do an overseas trip with 2 dogs, they helped us though it all. We never have to wait long for an appointment and feel extremely comfortable boarding our dog here. This is the place to go for all your pet’s needs.

Boarded our healthy labrador retriever there for 6 days. He came back with enlarged testicles that were bright red. Took him back to vet 3 days after making no progress with peroxide / anti-bacterial ointment. Vet claimed it was caused by unsanitary conditions....guess her boarding clinic is unsanitary. $200 left a bad taste - screw health and care - we want your money....

Goodwin animal hospital took our boy Sammy on a short notice appointment due to unexpected weakness and low appetite. They did everything they could to diagnose him but unfortunately without enough blood to run any tests, our boy needed to be handled by an emergency vet who had the resources to offer a blood transfusion if needed.Our boy went to heaven the next day, but if it weren’t for Goodwin we wouldn’t have known that our boys kidneys were failing him. Our 5 year old Cat thanks you for everything you did to try and help him and we thank you for your kindness.

Originally we took our pup to a different vet bc they also boarded. Recently I took a tour after hearing several positive comments about Goodwin & I was blown away! Zoe did my tour & was fantastic. She answered all my questions & concerns. I immediately booked my dogs next boarding reservation here. They have an indoor salt pool, which is also is solar heated in the winter months! That's right, check out my pics, you can see the doggie hotels from the lobby. They also have separate entrances for dogs & cats. The back play area has astroturf so you don't have to worry about allergies.

Goodwin animal hospital is literally amazing! They did an amazing job from the office staff all the way to the down! I love them. They did an amazing job while I was away on business with my little buddy odie! He came back so soft and smelled like a cloud. Will always be my go to for everything vet and boarding needs!

I dropped my dog off for required vaccinations in a bath with a cut. When I picked her up it was over $300. They had opted my dog in for tests and vaccinations that were completely optional. I was refunded the money for the unnecessary treatment but this is not my only complaint with the vet. They are overpriced. I can get my dog a cut in Prattville for $45 where they charge $70. It's really sad to lose access to them just because of how close they are and my dog has anxiety leaving the house.

I love bringing my dog to Goodwin! We use them as a vet, groomer and daycare. Everyone knows us and takes great care of my girl. If I say “let’s go to daycare!” she runs to the car, I think that says it all!

Dr. Fuqua and Dr. Kallam are phenomenal veterinarians! They’ve been there for us through all the ups and downs of pet ownership with our dogs and cat. From an emergent allergic reaction to vaccines, a life-saving surgery for a splenic tumor, and an unconventional course of treatment for FIP, to saying goodbye to our senior pup - they’ve been incredibly skilled and compassionate. They’re always willing to listen and partner with you in making decisions about your pet’s healthcare.

From veterinary care, to daycare, to boarding, or to grooming, I don't ever have to worry about my puppy when I bring him here. He even gets excited in the car when we pull into the parking lot! I can’t even begin to thank this Hospital enough.We came in as an emergency while traveling for work.Dr. FIelds met us in the lobby, and immediately made us feel at ease.From the front desk staff, to the techs, to the Dr, everyone was so so nice !!After an initial exam and xrays, we received the diagnosis of a torn ACL.Dr Fields took the time to explain all of our options.We scheduled her surgery the following Friday 7/5/2019We drove 5 hours back to this hospital for her surgery !!We dropped her off, I cried , they reassured me, and we left her in their capable hands .Stephanie called me immediately following her surgery with an update and we returned the next morning to pick her up.I’m so completely impressed with this hospital !!!We will return with the rest of our pack, if the need should arise !!

To say I’m disappointed is an understatement. We have been using Goodwin for nearly 6 years and never had problems until recently. Once Dr. Goodwin retired the front desk employees have not been the same. I made a standing appointment for grooming every month and my husband shows up and they don’t have him and can’t take him, two months later. The girl, who I feel was insulting our intelligence, asked did we call the correct location. First, we didn’t call because it was set up, in person, 2 months prior to this incident. They didn’t take responsibility nor did they try to get our dog in for this particular day. It makes me terribly sad to leave, but we are changing our clinic due to the inconsistencies such as this and the costs are constantly increasing for every little thing. We miss Dr. Goodwin very much and wish we didn’t have these issues forcing us to leave. This was was the icing on the cake so to speak. It’s been boiling for about a year. We have never had any issues with the Dr.’s thankfully. The front desk needs to get with it though.

I walked in as a new patient on Monday, they welcomed me as if I had always been there. The front desk was lovely and helpful in getting my baby boy looked at. As this was our first trip I was worried as my boxer is older and set in his way. But the tech that got him so so easy and gentle with him and Dr. Greene took the time to explain to me everything that they are working on doing to help my dog.

I am happy to leave a review for Goodwin Animal Hospital and Pet Resort. We are relatively new to the area having moved from California and we’ were searching for an overnight board and care for our dog Rozie. Our daughter Julie has taken her dogs to you for some time and told us all about your wonderful facility. And she was absolutely right! We have boarded Rozie a number of times and have also brought her in for emergency care. This is a beautiful facility with loving ,caring and highly qualified professionals. So thankful that we found you! You’re just the best! Definitely recommend you to everyone !😀
