Always enjoy grocery shopping at Capitol. Fresh produce is on point, seafood counter knows appropriate cuts per request, they also keep their work area clean after every order done. Their international aisles are well stocked and never disappoints. Best of all, they do not exaggerate their product pricing.

If your looking for cheaper price fresh variety vegetables, rootcrops and fruits this is a good place to go. They also have a lot of oriental goods. Definitely gonna come back there, God willing.

I found exactly what I needed. Out of all the Spanish stores, they had plenty of the empanada discs. Cashier was very rude though.

I couldn't find the specific items I was looking for in order to make authentic Puerto Rican Sofrito. Their freshly baked pastries taste delicious.

Another contradiction in Montgomery. Normally I wouldn't buy groceries from a place this rundown. But I just think of it as an international farmers market indoors. The selection is immense and about every country is represented and even though it's in a worn out Winn Dixie it's organized and stocked. It's more of an experience to shop here and that increases the score.

This grocery store need to be called the international market, it carries wide variety of exotic vegetables and fruits. Also it has groceries from all cultures across the universe.

I had to make two trips back to the store to return some spoiled ribs. Would not reimburse us for the coal we wasted attempting to cook the second batch. I informed the manager that a lot of the ribs smelled spoiled so other people wouldn't have to go through what I did.

I wouldn't give this store one star but I had to in order to write a review. With my receipt I tried to return rotten produce a molded jackfruit that I cut last night and tried to return today but since I bought it several days ago refuse to exchange fruit for me and I spend lots of money each month at the store will never go back he basically called me a liar. I hope he spends my $16 wisely because he will never get another cent of my money or my friends nor my families everywhere I go I will tell everyone.

Dude this place has EVERYTHING! Do you need an obscure Mexican, Chinese, thai, or Indian ingredient. Then this place probably has it. Great produce and meat. The fish is fresh and ready to be cooked. Come on down here and experience the cultural world of food.

Prices on meat are affordable 👌🏾 and the fresh seafood is a good catch at times. However, the other meats seem off at times. Flies in the cooler and the smell might throw you off. I know it sounds horrible once you pit it all together. Just go inside and of it's not your cup of tea; I understand.

Was looking for seeded watermelons. Were able to find some here. They were pricey for the size. But the water melon was delicious. They have a wide variety of fruits and vegetables. Great customer service. I was in and out.

I love Capital International! Montgomery's hidden treasure for shopping of all sorts of exotic foods, fresh fruits and vegetables in many Asian styles, and an incredible meat market, hey widely varied fish market, both fresh and frozen seafood, and all of the spices in the universe! Each end cap is filled with a display of spices. Huge variety of Thai, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese spices and sauces and noodles.

I was in a search for international foods. Mainly Korean as I was looking to make some Korean fried chicken. I needed gochujang. I ended up with more stuff 😅.I came across boxes of ramen /noodles that I’ve been craving. They have great deals on drinks / sodas near checkout.I found stuff that I would usually get back at home (Washington)just 10 minutes away from my home. Now I need an international market at Prattville so I wouldn’t have to drive 30 minutes 😆.Beautiful veggie assortments.Overall I found what I needed :)!

18 March 2023I drove across town solely to buy fresh ginger. As far as I know, this is the only store that sells regular large ginger which is extremely easy to peel and easily to grate. While there I ended up purchasing small white potatoes, shallots and a gorgeous head of romaine lettuce. I would say they have the largest selection of produce. Like I told a manager, the produce section is difficult to maintain, but all of your produce is beautifully fresh. The store is filled with many items, but that doesn't mean they carry everything. I enjoyed my shopping experience, but then again I am funny about produce and I am difficult to satisfy. I am satisfied with Capitol International Market.

I'm a new customer. And I'm mostly in love with their wide variety of tresh fish.The customer service is speedy amazing. And the store has a wide selection of items to choose from.The only reason why I did not give the store 5 star rating is because of the condition of the building being old and in desperate need of repairs and the fact that it is located on a side of town that is starting to become an eye sore.Had the building been in better shape and the location was in a more developing side of town then I would be more than happy to give a 5 star rate.
