I LOVE THIS STORE;SOME EMPLOYEES give thisstore a badReputation.The young cashier guy slanging my grocery around as if someone pissed him off.Mid size afro, Carmel skintone,5'6"- 5' 7" in height.He should not be working with customers AT ALL.I told my sister, no worries.I bagged her grocery. We left without making a scene.Hope I have a pleasant experience when I return so I can give you guys 5 stars.

On multiple occasions, I’ve been to Winn-Dixie and while the stuff is of good quality, it is a bit expensive. I do totally understand Mobile is a coastal town but when I visited, one paper towel roll was $11. Come on, you’re not going to get me to believe that it costs that much to buy and mark up a paper towel roll to $11! This is not California or something, get it together. It’s convenient and that’s about it.

I always shop here because it's walking distance to my home every Sunday. I think I'm done now. I have forgiven them for a lot. Besides the fact that the bathrooms are disgusting, and that they lock the entry doors at night. (Meaning you have to walk all the way down to get a buggy and their is usually people camped out and then walk back to the exit to go in) I have called them multiple times and told them about having expired food out. I've bought bad yogurt, expired protein shakes, Nutella, etc. If you shop here, be sure to check your dates but honestly just check the prices against Publix. They are basically the same for a much better experience.

I live practically across the street from this store. While I must admit that sometimes when I am cooking something exotic, they might not have what I need, but their meat is awesome, good produce, and most importantly their employees are outstanding. There are multiple employees that I now consider friends and all of them are friendly and helpful. Christopher (the store manager) and Jonathan (other senior manager) must be doing something right for their employees to be so happy. Seeing Christopher almost daily in a pressed white shirt stocking shelves and doing cart duty in the parking lot also speaks much of the management culture!

I'm from Georgia and we lost Winn-Dixie years ago when I went down to Alabama and found out there was a Winn-Dixie in Mobile I couldn't wait to get there!!!! Chek soda used to be one of my favorite things!! And so were the thrifty made cookies the vanilla cookie with the chocolate fudge in the middle! they didn't have those but they did have a new brand that looked the same that was a chocolate cookie with the fudge in the middle and OMG so worth it! looking to move down that way and even though it would be a drive from where I'll be at in the Saraland area.. it will absolutely be one of my grocery stores!!!

I have been shopping here off and on since living in Mobile. I will stop shopping here now. I was there at 4:00 today and there was quite a few people shopping. The self checkout was busy with a young female worker at the desk looking at her phone when I was buying an item that is age restricted. The light went off and the announcement that someone would come to help. She continued on her phone. After a few minutes I tried to get her attention but couldn’t. This is when I chose the option to go to the register. Only THEN did she decide to put the phone down. This is so disappointing. She wasn’t happy about being disturbed. Black hair with lavender tips and a lavender nose ring. Probably in her 20’s. So, I was going to talk to whoever was at the customer service desk….. no one there. Just thought someone or anyone should know.

Very good produce selection but the beets are pitiful, small with the stems cut off. Dry foods and non-perishables selection is lacking. Good refrigeration and freezer sections. Massive selection of sodas, seafood, deli, and meat. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The store has always had some good employees and some that were...less so. It seems now that they are trending towards more helpful, courteous and informed associates. There is a new lady in charge of customer service and she is an extremely likeable people - person who obviously did not get to be in charge simply based on her ability to make customers walk out with a smile but also her intelligence and work ethic.I d give 5 stars but then they'd have nowhere to go but down.

I will say normally I've had a great Winn-win shopping at Winn Dixie but today not so much. It was prime time weekday shopping. There was only one register open and self checkout. I chose self checkout because of the back up at the single line open. I usually don't like self checkout because of the bulky item I need to purchase like packs of water and soda hang up the machine. I also purchase alcohol which causes the necessity for the self checkout clerks attention. I scan my alcohol last. The line is building up behind me. The service light is flashing and the clerk is staring into space. I was at the clerk and she finally comes to push some buttons and then I had to finish the transaction at their service desk. While choosing my transaction, another customer needed service. Someone had left a purchase in the bagging area. The other customer asked politely for said item to be removed so they can continue. The stuff checkout clerk snapped loudly "move it yourself". That offends the customer and they reply "it's not my job". That sent the clerk into a tizzy of F- bombs and "YOU AREN'T GONNA TAlK TO ME LIKE THAT". I like Winn Dixie. This just isn't the store for me. I'm glad I was leaving. If not I would have left a full buggy sitting there.

Good place to shop. Check out their seafood section. The quick seafood meals (I love the 5 oz Bourbon salmon) comes in a sealed microwaveable bag stuffed with veggies and garlic butter. Takes only 5:30 in the microwave and lunch/dinner is served!

Update: Winn Dixie seems to do their job quite well, guess my Uber shopper was just struggling. Managed to find what Lamonica couldn't in less time than it took to walk to the store one way. Thank everyone at Winn Dixie for the hard work, please keep it up, we gotta eat. And I get cranky when I'm hangry 😂🤣🤣Might be worth it, but don't get delivery from Uber Eats. Can't find kale in a produce section. So hopefully, when I walk up here, the produce section is empty, or Winn Dixie is getting 5 stars, and I'm canceling my Uber One. Maybe Lyft and Door Dash take better care? Guess we'll find out soon.

Clean store. Pleasant employees available to help. Decent selection. Purchased alot of groceries for a reasonable price due to "Quick Sale" mark downs. Only negative was checkout. Saturday afternoon one employee checking groceries. I chose the equally busy self- check out lanes. The system double charged me. I wasn't aware of this until later while viewing my online checking account. The second charge already showed up as "pending" credit. Overall a good shopping experience. I will return to Winn Dixie midtown.

Basics like propane tanks should be easy to get and pay for. Kosher wine selection could be better. Nobody at the fish counter is a bit of a downer. This is a big store with a pretty big selection, so it’s annoying not to find help, an open register without a line, well, maybe a couple more people available to help customers in the store and to pay would be great.

Very sweet young lady at check out. Store looked nicely stocked, we just ran in to get some chips. Store definitely needs to be cleaned, floors had spilled stuff here and there. And the parking lot could definitely use better lighting.

I like coming here to get the ready-made food served in near the entrance as it’s a nice affordable and filling meal (I often have leftovers.)Store is usually clean and tidy and well stocked on groceries. Just wish the employees were a little more cheerful when interacting with customers, but I understand how it can be sometimes working at a boring grocery store.

I'll be honest. I'm pretty disappointed in the direction this location is heading in. It seemed as if they were making lots of progress and improvements and then overnight did a 180. All of the organic options are gone. Produce? Never good. Local beer options are gone. Step it up Winn-Dixie! I used to be a frequent shopper.

Clean, bright. Happy staff. Great sales, average prices. Better than most local grocery stores that charge an extra 10% at checkout. It feels new and renovated. Definitely not run-down. Bakery, fresh fish, butcher... a great full-service grocery store.

Good store, some items like salad mixes were out of stock. I got a good deal on the store brand soda twelve packs 3/$10 but the name brand sodas like Pepsi and Coke were overpriced. Variety of pre made frozen meals. Dairy section small selection. My husband & I came here after Hurricane Sally, one of the only places that was open with food in stock.
