Very difficult time at Home Depot this evening.The Home Depot policy states, “ Online purchases are eligible for Price Matching on identical, in-stock items.“Also, “ Price Match Guarantee includes the price of the items plus shipping cost.”Price Match items must be available from competitor to ship to customer's location.”All the criteria with my request were met according to this policy.The store manager claimed that this wasn’t true. She said that if the item wasn’t from a local brick and mortar store, then it would not be matched.I informed her of the policy statement and she said the policy statement didn’t apply.I called the Home Depot Customer Service Department and they informed me that the Store Manager was incorrect with her statement. They matched the item and I was able to pick the item up within a few minutes at the matched price. A+ rating for the Customer Service Department and an F for the Store Manager. As much as I frequently shop Home Depot and have never asked for anything to be price matched, I was very disappointed with the treatment and reaction that I received with this transaction.The manager wouldn’t even look at the policy that I presented to her. I hope she familiarizes herself with the companies policies, so she will be able to correctly make the right call in the future. As a substantial stock owner in Home Depot, I certainly hope that the company will do a better job educating their Store Managers on what the policies are. The customer should feel appreciated and that was not the feeling and experience I received this evening.

Attempted an online pick up order but by the time it would’ve finished I ran inside rather wait for it, due to lack of service and adequate pick up wait times. Then at checkout they wouldn’t honor their own stores online price (cheaper) vs in store pricing. Had to get custom service and management approval to simply honor THD pricing on items I was purchasing for my elderly parent’s safety. It took so long and an act of congress to just checkout my items and have THD to adhere to its own policies.Severe lack of employees, service and customer respect at this location.

Worst home depot Ive ever been to. Rudest staff as well. Was buying a fridge, the lady in appliances went out of her way to no assist me and walked off. Cost them 3k, went to Lowes, wonderful staff and it was much more packed than home depot. Maybe others have had been treated the same way.

As usual, this HD had what I needed. However, the paint folks worked a miracle for me this time. Usually “color” match doesn’t work quite as expected. The associate was able to use her phone, take a pic of the 2015 very faded label, use some filters and get the numbers she needed to stand out. Perfect match!! Well done HD.

Audrey at the Schillinger Rd store self check out called Heather over to assist when they couldn't get my $50 perks credit to post to my purchase. I was asked to open the app on my phone but no signal was available inside the store. I have spent $thousands this year to get the perk credit. I gave them my HDpro phone number and it gave me the discount for being a disabled veteran but not the credit. Audrey told me to go to customer service and she would not assist me and stepped away. Even refused to give me her name until I asked 3 times. Heather told me customer service will not fix the problem and said I can not double dip. I only wanted the credit applied to my $600 purchase. Being an HDpro means I get the 10% discount on purchases. I asked for help to understand and was treated rudely. Neither of them wanted to work on a Saturday night I'm guessing. I am renovating a house and will take my future purchases to other stores. Their bad attitude just cost Home Depot about $10,000 in sales. Update February 2024. My fence contractor asked for Home Depot to provide the materials because they would deliver them. They delivered part of the order on Monday as requested without anyone there to sign for it. They forgot all of the fence pickets. I called. Store manager said she is on it. I had an installer crew lined up for Tuesday. I was told the pickets would be resheduled for Tuesday. The pickets were delivered Monday. Got an email Tuesday morning saying the pickets were not delivered due to nobody over 18 there to sign for it. LOL. Thanks Kelly and Posha. What a fiasco you are running there on Schillingers Road! Signing up with Lowes today.

I got a dewalt table saw, miter saw, and a rolling stand for the miter saw as a Christmas gift. Got everything put together and realized that the table saw was missing the fence and the push stick out of the box. I called the store and spoke to 3 different emloyees who couldnt seem to care less. Instead of them sending me the missing parts, I have to load this thing up and drive the hour and a half to the store to exchange it, then drive back and put it together. BIG inconvenience through no fault of my own. I won't be ordering anything else from this store.Update: So while it was inconvenient to pack up the saw and drive it back to the store, I called them before to make sure they had the same saw in stock for an exchange. Unfortunately they didn't, so I had to go to the other Mobile store. The manager who I spoke with on the phone (Angela) took it upon herself to call ahead to the Mobile store. I was blown away when I walked in and the associates knew my name and had the exchange ready to complete. They were ready for me because of Angela's call. Big shout out Angela. It's little things like this that really make a difference. Her efforts turned an unhappy customer into a happy customer, and I will definitely be back to shop at this store again.

This is a nice Home Depot store. Staff was good helping me choose product to get rid of wasps on patio. It seems they had me get a good helpful item. They also have nice plants and yard and garden supplies.

The Inside Garden Shop! My first stop!Beautiful plants, a little pricey but so is everyone else these days. Sometimes, you can find markdowns, however, most plants appear healthy.Turmeric plants are perennials. They come back every year like clockwork!

This will not be a good review. I came here because the app said certain items were in stock: white roses, purple roses, and the paper yard bags that I see all my neighbors use. None of the above was in stock. I was pretty mad, I usually shop at Lowes and came to Home Depot specifically for those items. Also came to get a hose, hose extender, and hose shower sprayer for my plants. Home Depot had zero sprayers in stock with the exception of a $17.99 sprayer that had only one setting. I cannot believe I wasted time and gas to drive clear across town for certain items that were guaranteed in stock. Also had issues using my military discount at checkout, it told me to log into the Home Depot app and I did not have time for that, I had to have an employee help me. Shop at Lowes, this Home Depot is awful.

Bought a maytag dishwasher. They delivered it a month later. I was out of town when my husband installed it, so we didn't know within 48 hours that it was defective. There is so much water in it after the dry cycle that it spits water out of the vent, and dishes are wet and the machine stinks. They sent a man out who said yes, it's defective, and he called and ordered us a new one. Well, then we get a call saying no, they are not sending a new one, but instead, they are sending another man out to look at it again..well, that company didn't show up today. So, here we are with this fairly expensive, new dishwasher that doesn't work. Buyer beware. I would have never ordered from HD if I had known this fiasco was going to occur.Update...tech came out and sure enough defective part on the dishwasher. Not giving us a new one but coming with a part which will be another two weeks. The panel will be broken by the time they take it on and off so many times. Never again buying from HD.

I come to Home Depot to buy all my plants and plants needs…I am happy to come here. But today the lady at the customer service desk watched me walk to self check out where 2 other cashiers overlook the area and after I finished checking (paying) out the lady at the customer service check myReceipt for some potting soil and 5 .98 plant buckets. I do not use plastic, I’m not about to use bags. I try to live a sustainable lifestyle. This lady walk from behind the register fast asking to check my receipt like I was thief. My heart started beating fast. My chest became tight. If you feel like your customers are thieves don’t offer self check out. Not cool. Hire someone who specializes in theft to watch cameras. And I told her No! Serval times, I told her I just paid for these items But she continued asking. Mental Harassing me. ( Ms.D)If I start to suffer from some Post traumatic stress disorder. I willMost definitely be back Home Depot because she stated this is your policy and this has never happened to me. Never forget Lowes is right down the street with much nicer employees and a huge plant section I will drive the extra minute for better treatment 6/25/22 @08:07pm .

Worst shopping experience ever. Went in to buy a Dewalt trimmer and blower combo. Knew what I wanted, and the store had it in stock. Found what I wanted in the department and looked for someone to get it out of the locked cage. Unable to find anyone in the area I asked the worker in the paint if there was someone who could help me. She just told me I had to fine someone in garden center. On my way to garden center that I had already tried to find someone in I asked a person up front if there was someone who could help me. She said she would have to call for someone. I went back to the aisle to wait. After 15 more minutes I went back to the register while my wife waited. I spoke to a different person in customer service who said she would call for someone. I heard the announcement go out over the speakers to for assistance. I waited even longer till my patience was all gone. Nobody should have to wait over 45 minutes trying to get assistance to spend money. What makes it even worse is the store was not even busy with customers. There were also other customers unhappy looking for assistance. I'll take my money somewhere else going forward.

High priced on most things. Good sales, sometimes. I have a huge complaint, though...Aldi bought them put and closed the pharmacy. Nobody was told about their closing in a public way, that I know of. They told no one ahead of time that they sold our info to the nearest Walgreens. A place I wouldn't have wanted my rx needs to go to. No notice, no choice. You just got lumped in with everyone else. Now I need nothing from winndixie6, And most likely won't shop at aldi.

Sometimes difficult to find needed items as their stock doesn't seem to be as good as their competitor, Lowes. Okay experience, but would be nice if it was easier to find a rep when you need them.

I usually go to Lowe's for my gardening needs, but decided to go to Home Depot since they had some mulch on sale. The website showed over 1,000 bags in stock, but when I got there I found only 5 bags available and two of those had been ripped open. I've never had this problem with Lowe's and won't make the mistake of going to Home Depot again!

You have been warned. Doing business with Home Depot was a mistake. I bought a refrigerator, and it went on sale the day before it was delivered. I called and was told the order would have to be canceled and reordered to get the 600$ difference. I did this, and apparently, they delivered the wrong refrigerator, and I am now having to do the leg work to fix their mistake. I was on hold for an hour, and I still had to call back.

We have been customers of this Home Depot as a Corporate account since 2019, and do an average of $100,000/year with Home Depot.That is going to stop. Most Recent Issues:-Appliances Delivered REPEATEDLY damaged; Constant promises that they would compensate us for the mess and our time for all of the issues- and then they quit reaching out at all. We had not 1, not 2 but THREE refrigerators delivered damaged. We're at the point where we're changing the kitchen footprint to hide the damage instead of waiting to hopefully get a non-damaged unit, since the repetitive deliveries were taking a toll on our ability to work as needed.-Refusing to take back merchandise that is fully refundable per their return and refund policy.-Orders arriving to sites with only half of the necessary parts, but boxed and labeled as Complete Orders-No Customer Service Communication since delivery of our most recent damaged appliance after promises of "making things right" as soon as we got the delivery.Juan, one of the Customer Service Managers, claimed repeatedly that he absolutely would make this right for us, blah blah, he was so embarrassed, blah blah. He even admitted that he knew the amount of time wasted on our end was well worth more than the refrigerator itself... so it's a bit concerning that Juan has stopped communicating with us as of 3 weeks ago, and no one has reached out to assist in any way.Our review of their poorly run store is step one. If we don't have a concrete resolution by the end of this week, we'll be taking next steps with the FTC, BBB, Alabama AG, etc., until we are able to reach the resolution we were promised repeatedly.Bare Minimum- Consumers should avoid ordering ANY appliances from this store location. You'll notice if you read more reviews, it's consistent that everything arrives damaged, and there's no recourse or help for you when that is the case.
