This place is awesome and I can’t recommend it enough! I recently bought a pair of sunglasses from their store, but they were sold out. Garrett then reached out to me personally to see how he could compensate me. He ended up sending me two pairs of sunglasses for the price of one! I do live in mobile county but I’m still a good 40+ minutes away from the store. To my surprise about an hour after speaking to Garrett one of the workers showed up to my house and personally delivered my glasses! I couldn’t be more happy or impressed. This is only my second purchase from the store, but it will be the second of many more. Such a cool place with cool people and great products!

Great local outfitter. They can order in more than they have in store, if you're judging just by pictures. Very frank and honest owner that won't carry subpar products. There are a few other good local places in Mobile, but I felt they were more focused around just hunting or fishing. I wouldn't go anywhere else for hiking and camping.

They have a very nice, knowledgeable staff who’s always eager to help. If they don’t have what you’re looking for, they don’t stop there! I've been shopping at RBO since the doors opened. Garrett and the staff are always welcoming and helpful. It's a store that I go to even when I'm not in need of any gear to talk trips, gear, whatever. The various events they've hosted such as hikes and talks with guest speakers have been great. The gear they sell is high quality, but the experiences they promote are better than any of the gear they sell.

Camping at the Dauphin Island Campground when I ordered the Neso beach shade tent. The customer service was amazing during the order but what was even more amazing is that it was delivered to the campground within 3 hours after I placed the order online same day. Its rare to find this type of customer service these days so thank you Red Beards for such a great experience! I will definitely recommend Red Beards and will purchase all my outdoor gear from them going forward.

Great little outdoors shop in the heart of Mobile. They had backpacks, stoves, clothes, climbing gear, and all things outdoors. I ended up purchasing an Optimus lite stove but accidentally grabbed the box with the display stove model still on the table. I had no idea I had done this until I got all the way home, to Orange Beach. I called and spoke with store personnel who offered an apology for the mixup and then drove the lite stove all the way to my house to keep me from having to drive back myself. They even brought me some girl scout cookies with the stove. Wonderful experience and the mishap was an honest mistake that they proactively wanted to fix. Above and beyond, folks! Thank you so much!

Garrett , Heidi , and another associate were so accommodating in helping me get sized and select the best hiking pack for me. I had visited three other outfitting stores to get sized and select my bag but when the bag arrived it was too big so I searched the internet for other Osprey authorized bag dealers in Mobile and came across Red Beard outfitters and I'm so glad I did ! They were incredible! I do not mean that in any short fashion either. They sized me correctly, put weight in the bag to make sure it was a good fit and that I would understand what the weight distribution would feel like. They were very knowledgeable about every question I had and also offered to order me a new bag with price matching . That is incredible when you are looking at expense for hiking gear. Thank yall so much for the passion you have for what you do and the care you have for your customers!

I got my Chacos from here and they have been God sent for my achy feet. I just purchased my "Where da gold at?" tshirt for St.Pattys day. I also bought a red/white & black/white MOB baseball caps at 50% off!! They will be perfect for my Disney trip coming up. Representin Mobile yall!!
