The Shillingers Road location is awesome. I love their groomers, and their staff is great. Today, an online order weirdly messed up and split the order between 2 different locations. The young man who waited on me ran around the store and got all of my items, so I didn't have to go to the other location. So nice!

Love this pet place. The staff is knowledgeable in most things pet. Helpful in recommendations of products for all sorts of pet needs. The grooming options are reasonable and my pet always comes out looking smart.

The most horrible experience I’ve ever had at a pet store. Their lack of care and compassion for betta fish and the fish in general is ridiculous. As a betta fish keeper it’s really disappointing to go into a pet store and see the bettas in visibly filthy water and many sick and dead. After going to the betta fish section about 4 were dead and plenty of them sick with dropsy and swim bladder definitely due to the water quality. When going up front and informing the cashier and manager they had gave me an attitude and said “well some fish die, that happens”. Four at a time?!? And they claim they changed the water yesterday but the water was yellow and feces all at the bottom and not an amount that would be there after a single day. And I tried to get a sick fish that had swim bladder and was leaning on the side of the cup immobile and they acted like nothing was wrong with it. Either they’re uneducated about fish and disease or just don’t care.

The receptionist in the grooming room should not be working anywhere around animals. We walked in and she had nothing but an attitude which let me know right off the bat that I probably chose the wrong place. I let her know that our labradoodle is a new rescue that we took in about a month ago and her attitude got even worse (maybe she doesn't believe in rescues). She then made a quick grab move towards our babies head who of course growled and made a mild nippy gesture then turned to me and told me they wouldn't take her which I wouldn't leave her with them anyways if that is their treatment of fur babies. Told me that she needed to be around people more and they were a corporation not a private groomer whatever that is supposed to mean. This baby, since we took her in has been around a lot of people scanning for chips, poked by doctors, shopping at pet food stores, at the SPCA meeting great people while searching to see if she was lost and we have never seen her do anything towards anybody other than her little growl letting you know she is protecting her new momma. The receptionist is clueless when it comes to fur babies

I really enjoy shopping at Petsmart. Friendly staff that are really knowledgeable about the pets and supplies they sell. Petsmart has fish, exotic pets like lizards, snakes, and turtles, birds, and a variety of rodents. I thought the hamster was adorable! There is every type of feed for your animal. Petsmart has collars, clothes and toys for cats and dogs. Even a groomer inside. The entire store is pet friendly!

I always enjoy pet smart and so does Isis my great dane. It was her birthday, she turned 8 so i bought her a gravity fois waterer combo, its so cool and she lives it. The petsmart on Schillingers Rd also has some of the nicest staff i have met. Very polite and eager to help you.

Kaili had my boy Leroy for a bath and the works today. Leroy is both a nervous boy and a bit of a baby. I'm talking has to be in your immediate vicinity or is afraid you are gone forever baby. I warned her of his anxieties to start and she was the absolute sweetest. He absolutely refuses to have his nails clipped as I think he has a bad experience from when he got them trimmed when he was neutered. She had a lot of patience and was able to get a bit off. We will have to get him used to it in the future and his quick is long but I am so thankful for her. She performed all the services and I got a clean, happy boy back. I forgot to ask about leaving a tip on my card when I paid so next time I will remember to bring cash - but Kaili will be my groomer of choice every time I go back. She was the best.

We absolutely love this location. The staff is always so knowledgeable and willing to help answer any crazy questions I might have. It’s always easy to find and associate when I need assistance. We are always greeted upon entering and the associates are just the friendliest group you will find. My kids love to visit the section with the cats and play around with them. While we’ve not used their grooming services yet it appears to be a super convenient offering and I’m certain we will use it in the future. The store is always well stocked, organized and clean.

There in transition of changing names or company's and they are out of most animals. We went all the way over to mobile Ala. for a hamster and they're out. Just saying I will not be wasting time going back .

Very polite and helpful service. The store was clean and organized. I actually went to ask about dog grooming and they did it! Same day! I didn't even have to make an appointment! Very satisfied with the cut! The groomers seem to be very experienced and knowledgeable! Also, did you KNOW they have puppy training?!?!😱😱🤯🤯

Grooming - Had to bring my pup here as the petco had no openings.. will most certainly not be back. Paid over $100 for my dog to smell as if she never even had a bath, the very next day. They were out of some of the products that they were supposed to use during but I was not told until I picked her up. Her breath smells worse than when she went in. Again, I will never bring my dog back to this location. Very disappointed.

Store is convenient (maybe too convenient), clean, well organized, and maintained by a friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. Like everywhere else retail, however, prices are way too high, and there is usually a long checkout line. Maybe someday, the professors in business schools will start teaching future high-level managers that you can make more by cutting prices throughought the store 10 - 15% and having cashiers assigned to all or almost all of you available checkout lanes...TO CHECK PEOPLE OUT... not go put out freight, clean the bathroom and breakroom, zone merchandise outside the register area, etc. You should have other staff just for those things. I can get the exact same products online delivered to my door in 2 to 4 days (90% of the time) WAY cheaper going through Chewy. If you cut your prices as stated above, and people could get in and out QUICKLY, your volume would increase way more than the 10 - 15% you lost cutting prices. It would increase so much you could pay those extra front register staffers an extra dollar or 2 an hour across the board and still be good. What's the worst thing that could happen? Your $/sale metric declines and your "overhead" increases due to labor? Your bottom line will negate this, but the real advantage is when the recession/depression hits hard and no one is spending, they will still be spending at your store because it's the best place to shop. I'd stop ordering online and buy there if I could get decent prices and get out fast. I use to always until it got so frustrating and wasteful of money. So you don't get as rich as fast initially, but you end up the pet superstore that gets all the business and you stay in business through tough economic times, and end up much richer than you would have been. I'm waiting to see if Petsmart will become the new trend setter in retail and be a company EVERYBODY wants to work for and EVERYBODY wants to shop at because their prices are unbeatable and they are so easy to get in and out of. At least consider self checkout registers if you aren't going to hire more friendly, smiling faces... You'll earn my business back locally and the 4 star review will go to 5 unless you're content to do what you're doing and get customers on the fringe. Keep doing what you're doing well, but you gotta improve on prices and a consistent way to get people out of your store at normal height of business times.

I’m so disappointed!!I’ve been bringing Rudy here for so long and always have had a great experience and I always tip! Sometimes I even bring cookies!But, today they had people in the grooming area…. So I waited. Then no one was moving… the dog was finished and they were chatting.The girl at the register noticed and went in to tell them I was standing outside the door.Well, I waited again. And the chatting continued. I guess your new crew is too busy for us. 😔

This is a good store to get supplies for my cat. They have food, treats, toys and cat litter to serve my cat's needs. The store seems clean and nice and has good staff to help you as needed. I am so glad they have everything pets need for a decent price. Staff can help you find whatever you may need.

Do NOT order pickup from this location!!! ANY other Walmart in Mobile is amazing with the pickup orders and you don’t get the awful attitude from the employees either! Today “they” are saying they are 1000 orders behind so we may be able to pick them up in 3 weeks 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great selection. They had exactly what I needed. A little more expensive than elsewhere, but it was convenient. Could use more cashiers that don’t leave you standing at the register for 15 minutes while they take an order out but I guess that’s just how it is now.
