Half the prices they half on their shelves aren't up to date we checked the prices today before we grabbed the items and we always double check before grabbing the items. We get to check out almost everything is more expensive than what was listed on the shelves. I get missing a couple items but when we grab items throughout the entire store and more than half our entire purchase ends up being way more than it should have been. Not to mention how rude the cashier was to the gentleman in front of me when he was having card issues.I've seen reviews about how they never call people back about jobs apparently they were forced to take people from other stores that were reliable which honestly just sounds like an excuse to not hire more people when the last manager was there none of this was happening

Stores are usually clean. Sometimes hard to navigate because of narrow aisles and new stock congesting them. If you can't find something, there's usually 2 (or more) employees working. They're usually friendly and/or helpful. Prices are reasonable. Stores are usually easy to find and several around.

This is the first time that I have actually looked at the website for 2461 Island Rd. Mobile, AL. I would like to point out that 90% of the photos for this location are NOT of this store. There are many reasons why I know this but the most important reason and also the cause of this review is that the shelves have NEVER been stocked like the photos show since the store was about 2 months in business. I really hate going to this store because they can't or don't keep items in stock. I don't know how restock items are ordered but there is a major problem here. Is it the management, the POS system, or what? The problem seems to be getting worse day after day. Sometimes there are carts of items to be stocked all over the store blocking the aisles but the shelves are empty. The coolers stay half empty. I'm tired of trying to shop at this store, I have been passing it by and driving elsewhere or to a different Dollar General to shop because this store is very poorly stocked.

One of my friends filled out a job application for this Dollar General. She did a interview with the manager and everything went great. The manager told my friend that she was basically hired & she would start work very soon. The manager also told her that she will be training her. My friend filled out the employment paperwork & gave them all of her identity information. The manager said after she does a background check that my friend will be able to start work very soon. My friend called them for almost 3 weeks...waiting for the manager to give her a update on the background check. Every time my friend called, the manager made up a excuse. I recently went to the store and I noticed that they've hired someone else instead. The person that they hired was the complete opposite of my friend. When I say complete opposite, I mean as in race. They hired a Caucasian person and failed to return my friend's phone call. They lied & said that they would call her back, but they never did. I think they didn't want my friend to work there with them because she's African American. It's clear that the employees at this Dollar General are extremely prejudice and I will no longer be shopping there.

I can honestly say this Dollar General has not just my money daily but they are like family! There is one manager/asst manager (I'm not sure which) that from day 1 has gone above and beyond to help anyone and everyone he comes in contact with. The employees here are the most pleasant, always smiling people I've ever seen! They make it their job to get to know not just your likes etc but you as a person! Y'all are totally AWESOME!!! I am going to miss y'all! Keep up the great work guys!!

The staff here is mostly friendly, Tammy is the best! My family just loves her! However I do get annoyed when I can’t walk down an aisle due to boxes and carts being in the way. Store seems to have plenty of product but there’s no rush on it being put up. Makes navigating an already tiny story even harder. But I’m usually greeted with a smile and helped if needed.

This is good Dollar General. The store is clean and the employees are nice. It's never crowded so there are never long lines. That also means that the parking lot only has a few cars in it so you get to park close.

The manager Mr. Larry, on DIP was very helpful and made sure I had everything I was looking for. I noticed he also showed this same concern for each customer who came into the store. The staff is courteous and helpful.

I absolutely love this store! It's less than a mile from my house, the employees are so nice and helpful not to mention they treat you like family. The store is always nice and neat even if they are stocking!

Was not at all organized ..People where lined back into the isle the manager was on his phone two other employee's where talking how hard they worked there. After 15 minutes things got moving..Manager still on his phone.

I have always enjoyed this store. Staff is always friendly, always ready to help with locating items. Store is clean I've never picked up anything that had dust on it. Recommend this tore to everyone.

This particular location is ALWAYS MESSY. Boxes are always in the way making it harder to move among the store. The employees are not quick and spend time having conversations with eachother instead of helping the customers. I try to avoid this dollar general bc the experience is the same each time.

It was a typical quick run in and get out quick shopping trip. Soda and a candy bar. This is one of the good ones. Friendly staff, clean restrooms and enough workers to keep checkout going fairly quickly.

This place is usually good store. To night they called out closing in 5 minutes, 9:00. Well sighn on door says 10:00 on weekdays and 11:00 on weekends, Holliday schedule. It's the weekend before Christmas! What's up with that!!

I love dollard general i just wish that they would have more sale" s on bed sheets and comforter. The store at hollingers island is the best store and the employees go out of there way to help you.

I love going to this one to me it's the best one I just it was close to where I live I go to it every time I go to my daughters it's so organized and they're always friendly end up going Spirit there I live about 40 minutes away from it I wish all of them was like this one

I only shop Dollar General I will not go to a Family Dollar. To me Dollar General is better in prices and products. Always ready to help when I go in.

Actually I went Sunday afternoon to pick up some coffee pods for me and some gum for my daughter and soon as I walked in and turned the corner I could smell the scent of funk and as I was talking about it I could here another customer talking of the same issue they said it smelled like nasty feet and I said it smells like someone used an old nasty mop with old nasty standing mop water that probably sat overnight and it was horrible!!!!!

Typical trip to the store. Employees are great👍. Only drawback is that they run out of the things we need most.
