I'm editing my original review that I left 4 years ago.I live across the street and I've shopped at this DG several times each week since they opened years ago and until recently it was without a doubt the best DG in this area. It still has the best employees which is why I'm giving 2 🌟 ( they deserve 5) but the shelves have been practically empty for at least the last 6 months. I took pictures 2 days ago (Friday) because it's beyond ridiculous at this point. Entire sections were bare. No toilet tissue, paper towels, cat food, auto items, repair items, laundry detergent, dish soap....not even store brands were in stock.Original review:In my opinion this is the cleanest, most organized and well stocked store of them all. Best employees as well.

Not a customer any more! They do not keep the hours of operation as stated on Google search. And the shelves do not stay stocked. There is always a wait to check out, and it's become more of an inconvenience than a convenience. Dollar General, get with Google as a courtesy to us consumers and update your hours of operation. It's 8:20 pm and on a Thursday night, and doors are locked.

This store is always nasty. The store hours of operation is 8am to 9pm but I arrived to the store at 8:40pm and they already had the store close. Another incident was on a Sunday I saw customer able to purchase beer before noon I'm which is against liquor law. This is the worst location.

Clean and the girl at the register was really friendly. I wish I had looked at her name tag. They have new check out system which is great because we used to have to wait forever for credit/debit to go through. WTG Dollar General!! The store was a little under stocked. I didn't get what I went in there for but I did find some snacks on sale!!

This Dollar General is not the best store I've ever been to, but what makes it great is the people. The customer service staff and the people that work in the store were so friendly, and I would definitely go to this location again. the three stars are for the people and not necessarily the location. They had all the products I needed which was a bonus.

I work right in front of Dollar General and here lately they have been closed and they are very unprofessional there. Do not recommend.

I love this store and personally know every worker there. They are a great group of people. I go here almost daily and sometimea 2 or 3 times a day. Always greeted with a smile and should I or anyone else need help finding a product they are always willing to gladly help. 👍👍👍👍👍

The colored man working on 4/8/2020 asked me to leave store because I supposedly cut in front of someone. I was totally surprised, I did not or would have cut in front of anyone. The black people made a seen and the black clerk sided with them.I even let the little black woman to go ahead of me.Now iam a daily shopper at this store. I will do my shopping elsewhere. And this clerk needs to be fired.

This used to be my go to DG, but since Hurricane Sally hit the Government location seems to close whenever they feel like it. On top of the store being overly cluttered and junky, they have the nerve to close early!!! The posted store hours are 8AM TO 9PM but this store closes at 8PM or earlier. Highly disappointed in what this store has become.

Love the remodeling job. Well stocked little store. Clean, organized and convenient. Staff is nice. Parking is super easy. I'm in here about once a week.

Horrible and never stocked ! Other than Herdon, the staff either says or are rude and slow. The store is always dirty and full of products from the cold section items on random isles thru out store !

I had to buy flip flops for my daughter whose sandals broke. As I was inside the store their power went out. I had exact change to leave them so I could buy the flip flops. It might be company policy to not ring up customers when the power is out but my daughter was barefoot. Sometimes you have to think about people not policy. It just seemed so mean and cruel when the manager refused to sell me $1 flip flops.

Store is having a 50% plus additional 25% off on select items. The store staff was very helpful in helping me with matching colors to coordinate all of my purches. This store have the best customer service relations. Thanks to all the staff.

I drove from the govt location bc a male manager said that the item came from the cottage hill location and I could return it but without a receipt store credit. So I get to go to cottage hill where a “Mandy” was apparently being interrupted from brain surgery bc she was so rude and the first thing I said was I had no receipt so she wants to make a face staring into her handheld computer like they didn’t carry this item so I walked back to where about 30 of them were and she keeps yelling was it Friday??was it Friday?? Was it Friday?? Who cares? Because she has to know the date to put in the computer and I can’t only exchange the same item when I said I don’t like it so why would I want another one in a different color?? That’s about dumb but when she called me “sweetie” it was time to go.

This store's customer service has improved since last year. Store could be better stocked. Store is a little cluttered but this Dollar General is much better compared to surrounding ones.

I accidentally got the wrong size cigarettes at Skyline Dollar General earlier today. I went to my regular D.G. at the Loop and the cashier would not exchange them ,even with my receipt. SOOOOO I had to drive back to Skyline in a thunderstorm to exchange them. Lesson learned, I should have just gone across the street to Walmart gas station as I usually do.And I don t have to show my driver s license. They know I m old.

Art section and seasonal is this $ generals main attraction. Each one seems to specialize in one thing or another. A bit cramped in places. Buggies, public restroom, and handicap parking always a plus.
