This is a very nice Dollar store. They have good low prices on household items, gifts, cards, snacks and candy. I really getting snacks and treats here. They also have good holiday items, especially Christmas decorations and gift wraps! I like their good priced movie DVDs also.

How about posting on Google that your store is closed here on Cottage Hill Rd and Government Blvd. They are always something going on a these businesses. Never open or closed as the hours posted. Or better yet, two wasted trips to 2 locations that are closed with handwritten signs on notebook paper stating closed due to construction.Pretty sure Im ending my relationship with Dollar General. Its too much work to remain a loyal customer with you guys.

Dollar General is such a good store with reasonable low prices. I like getting snacks and sweet treats here. They also seem to always have good holiday items. I also like their gift items and bags, wraps and cards to give gifts.

Definitely just had the rudest experience possible at this location. I went in to buy a pack of pens (for my job, not that I need to explain myself) I spent maybe 2 minutes browsing the different options and ended up grabbing a 2-pack of pens that were $1.00 then I went to the automotive section for an air freshener and was followed by an employee and then accused of stealing and was asked if I had put that pack of pens (that was literally in my hand the entire time I was in the store) in my pocket. I have never stolen a thing in my life and that was extremely rude and offensive. I will definitely never be shopping at this location again. Maybe employees should have some facts before approaching customers with accusations.

They have been cleaning & rearranging the store. It looks good. Gonna have to learn a few things they changed but well worth it. I prefer this store over 1 that is closer bc the staff are all nice, polite & friendly

They are great for cleaning products... it seems like each one has something different they stock alot of. This one doesnt have a special thing... it's just convenient and employees are nice and engaging. So maybe that's their specialty...

Stopped by this store on Thursday morning around 9:45 A M when I went through the door the cashier and another worker started screaming at me: "we"re closed, we're closed! and was extremely rude to me. Needless to say that I will not patronize that store again and have told all of my friends and neighbors about this incident. My question though is this: If the store was closed then why weren't the doors locked?!!!

Went there at 645pm on a Sunday to a closed store. Lights were on and store was lit up but there was handwritten store signs that said closed.

As always, they are very good to the customers and you can always find what you're looking for. I enjoy going to a store that greets you with a beautiful smile and a big hello. Dollar General ROCKS

Alright, this will be my last review during my time in the south. Evidently, equality is a one way street down here. This atore is next to my rented apartment during my temporary stay, and because of its convenience, Im in here several time a day. Tonight I waited while 5 African American purchased beer and werent carded. The cashier asked for the birthdate to enter into the computer and they would recite the numbers. While they each looked 12, Ill assume they were regulars also. Thats fine. But when i get there with my groceries and a single beer for dinner, he needs to see MY physical card. EvAmericanse go back out to my truck to get my wallet... To the snickers of the other African-Americans in line. I took, maybe a minute, and when i came back my things were gone. I had to shop all over again. The cashier grinned. As a jew, my ancestors were slaves for 2000 years to their 400, and the firat half was in AFRICA. If we can get over If, and be civilized, they should be able to. For those that follow my reviews back home, I'll repeat... Never Ever go below the Mason-Dixon Line. Especially Alabama. We should have let the break away from the Union, because its a shame that so many of our ancestors died in the Civil War to allow them to behave as they do. 2 months left!!! Wooo!----------> came back today. It's been 2 months. It was a convenience stop. The line was clear back to he ice coolers because only one register was open. There only ever IS one register, though they have 4. Shoddy place. management needs to know about it.-------------------------> 6 months laterI decided to give this Dollar General another try, since I've such respect for Jason Impson, a regional manager of some kind, and because I was in a hurry and it's right down the street from my house. I also like to give places I've been forced to give a poor review to a second chance.My goal was to leave with two cans of cat food. However, in the 30 seconds it took for me to grab 2 cans and return.:..9 people had backed up in line, and as always there was only one cashier, and she really didn't know what she was doing. Each transaction was requiring the manager to come up and enter a code. And every time she'd do her thing and leave, only to require another 5 minute wait for her to come back at her leisure. Seeing the writing on the walls, I returned the cans to whence they had come and left again. I'm now leaving Walmart with cat food now, and the customer cars at dollar general are still there. So there you have it folks....we're a long way from cape Canaveral, but theres rocket science being undertaken in Mobile.

Kind of junky but I found what u needed easily and checkout was fast
