I have been consistently taking my cocker to grooming since he was born a year ago and this is the first time I felt really good about his groom. I came to Dana for the first time today. My boy had matting along his body that had been missed from his previous cut and gotten out of control. Dana got rid of all of it and managed to put him in an adorable and manageable hair style that I love. She also took the time to talk with me extensively before and after the appointment about what I was looking for in his style and gave me some recommendations for food and supplements after I told her about my pups ongoing issues with allergies. Really happy and I definitely felt heard.

I found this Grooming salon, the day before Thanksgiving. I had forgot about My fur baby Grooming. I called Dana & she told me that she would be opened for half of day. But she was so gracious, and told me to have him there the next day. I will never forget that. Then when I picked up my baby he was so handsome. Mind you I had never heard of this Grooming/Vet. Thank you so much Dana 💓. You get 10s across the board from me & Romeo, and we will be back.

The owner is a fantastic! From the moment I walked in the door she made the dogs and myself feel comfortable. When we picked our Golden-Doodle and mini Australian Shepherd up, she went into details about what she did and the expectation. This is my first time taking a puppy to a groomer, 100% trust her with my dogs after this first interaction. (Full transparency, this is awesome my first dog) She made some recommendations for puppy food and trainers. Oakleigh and Mr. Darcy will return! (Photos about two weeks after cut)

Just to let people know the bather at Dana and friends is the best in town that girl puts her Blood Sweat and Tears into every dog shoe does if itwasn't for her I'm sure miss Dana couldn't do what she does so well.So make sure to let her know what a good job she does!😘😘😘🐶🐶🐶

We were happy to find a great groomer while on vacation with our fur babies. Spoke with Dana like I’d known her my whole life. Friendly and very thorough with our chihuahuas. Reggie and summer give it 2 paws up. Thanks Dana we will see you again!

This review is not of the services but in the responses from this groomer to negative reviews. In looking for a groomer n mobile for my very nervous 5 lb Maltese, I have been pouring over the reviews of the area. A few negative reviews does not bother me. You will have that! “You can’t please all the people all the time.”However, what has turned me away from this business is the level of rudeness and accusatory responses to the negative reviews. I am new to the area and know nothing of this groomer. So this is a completely unbiased opinion. I just worry that the lack of grace I see being directed at the pet owners who left negative reviews is a reflection of how this persons nature and manner will be in handling my pet. I do not have a biter but I do have a tiny little lady who becomes extremely nervous when being groomed, through no fault of her own or mine, and will shake like a leaf. I’m looking for a groomer who is gentle and gracious. This groomers harsh, unprofessional replies to her negative reviews doesn’t speak kindness to me! I will keep searching.

She's an absolute angel with these babies of mine and everyone else that comes into her shop. So glad I found her and she did what I wanted her to do about Grooming my maltipoo,and not what she wanted to do. Makes a bug difference in whether u go back to a Groomer or not and for sure I WILL be going back. She's wonderful.

I came across Dana and Friends when I googled “pet groomer near me”. I called several places but all were booked until the end of the next month. I called Dana and she had something open that week! She was so kind on the phone I was so excited already. I go to drop Molly (my Shih Tzu) off and was immediately impressed. Dana was kind and the furry friends at the door welcomed both of us! Dana did a great job on Molly and for a great price! We will definitely be going back! Thank you Dana!

My Cat was matted under her arms and on her belly and Dana got them out quickly and safely and was absolutely amazing. I've never had to have a cat groomed before but I am so pleased. She even trimmed up her long hair for me and cut her nails. Best of all my cat stayed calm for it all!

I have used Dana for 25 plus years, she's the best in Mobile. She's so kind to your dog plus the way she scissor cuts is outstanding, not to mention she has close to 40 years experience. Used others before I found her, my dog was razor burned hated to get groomed, with Dana they are pulling me in her front door to get their hair done. My dog would not let you touch his nail's, not with Dana they are done no problem. I call her the dog whisperer. I have recommended her to so many people who now are regular clients of hers and thank me for sending them to her.

Quick call back and she worked us in on a Monday morning. Traveling thru town for Thanksgiving holiday and was afraid we would not be able to get an approval. This is the best little cut for my Maltese we have ever gotten. I am really pleased. Great value too!

Just stopped in to get information and prices. This women has no social graces. She is supposed to have lived here over 20 years (I've only been here 3) but apparently the sweet and polite nature of those from Mobile has never managed to rub off on her. I cannot imagine she will do well in midtown. I will never take my dog to her and, based on my conversation with her, I believe every negative review written before me.

The best place in mobile for grooming BY FAR!!! I have been using Dana for almost 10 years now and I would never go anywhere else. Her has scissoring is 2nd to none and my dogs LOVE to go there. Her work is meticulous, and my dogs will smell clean for days, sometimes weeks, after I pick them up!! She groomed Phoebe for almost 8 years before she passed away. And when I was ready to get a new dog she actually GAVE me a little schnauzer she had rescued from a bad situation. I also like that she doesn't have tons of employees and is a smaller operation so I know 1, that my dog isn't just another number in the shop, and 2 I know exactly who is going to be washing, drying and grooming my dog. I don't like these big volume shops with high employee turn over rates because you don't know who is back there washing and drying your dog, at Dana's it's been Jessica, for many years, in the back washing and drying and Dana up front grooming, and I like that. If you are looking for the best groomer in town give her a call - but call early! She books up quickly!

Absolutely horrible experience. Brought my momma little puppy in too be groomed and the “ owner” came out and said is she a biter I said no. This is her 1st time being groomed. Didn’t even try to attempt the groom. I won’t be bringing my own dogs here again. Terrible customer service.

Can't say enough good things about Dana. We've had bad experiences with some of the other shops in town where the staff is not well trained and don't seem to care about the animals. Dana clearly has a ton of experience, and you won't find anyone who will treat your dog better.

My first experience was ok but I was told that our dog was disrespectful and indicated it was our fault. The grooming part was ok. I will acknowledge that my dog is hard to manage and I told them this at the first meeting. I've taken her there four times now and each grooming session cost more than the last without any explanation so this last time I asked why. I was told that my dog was too hard to handle and she was tired of customers abusing her and her employees by bringing dogs such as mine to her. She followed up by telling me not to bring my dog back and so I won't. The quality of grooming deteriorated with the last two grooming being horribly gapped and uneven all over. Maybe this was due to my dog being uncooperative but I feel a professional groomer should be able to deal better with the situation (not just continue doing a poor job and raising the cost without explanation).

Not sure why or how its possible for the ones to write a review stating Dana was kind and very professional with them and they're dog. Not only do I disagree but I was appalled at how she treated me(the customer) I was on my second visit, first visit she got into an argument with a customer over dog food she was giving her animals and then talked about the poor lady behind her back once she left. Second visit Dana was very rude to me over the fact it was suppose to rain and she was getting the dogs finished before that happened, but then when I asked her when it was going to rain she lit into me telling me she didn't predict the weather only God knows. And proceeded to follow me outside screaming and crying. I was appalled at her PROFESSIONALISM. I was not about to leave my fur baby in her care with the ATTITUDE she had. So if drama is something you can deal with. Then by all means shes the person to go to!!! But as for me and my fur baby I will not go back!!! Thank you Dana for showing your true colors before I was so invested in you!!!

LOOK-I I read all the reviews before calling in but as a midtowner, I wanted to support this NEW local business that is less than a mile from my home. I started off the conversation by politely telling Dana "I know I am probably totally unreasonable in asking this but I wanted to see what the earliest was that I could get my dogs groomed." She told me that Saturday was her earliest, I said thats okay, I cant make that and she let me know she was going on vacation next week so it wouldnt be for the following week before I could schedule an appointment. I said "Oh no thats okay- I knew it was a last minute thing I was kinda wondering if you had a cancellation or had any downtime today." She SCOFFED at me on the phone and said "TWO NEW DOGS? TODAY?" Now please keep this in mind- I have ALREADY STATED nicely and VERY upbeat that I realized it was last minute and such an inconvenience to expect her to see me today. ALSO KEEP IN MIND that one of my dogs is less than 5 pounds and the other is 15 pounds. BOTH would have just needed shaves. But listen guys, Dogs aside, shaves aside, it was her lack of professionalism that got me. She then goes in to telling me how her bathers have to pick up their kids and she "Cant be in the back and the front at the same time". *insert wowwwww face* I work in the medical industry in customer relations, I understand that sometimes customers may ask for things that are unreasonable and frustrating. But to be a NEW business, PLEASE learn professionalism. PLEASE learn how to kindly say "Oh no! So sorry I hate I cannot work you in today or tomorrow and it stinks this is falling on my vacation time but I truly would LOVE to meet Aubrie and Belle! Is there any way that we could make it happen the following week when I am back? I will be so rested by then and can really give them my full attention! Hey did you mention whether or not you are local? Thanks for calling and supporting my business!" I would have HAPPILY understood. I would have EAGERLY referred all my dog moms to you. How sad that this was the outcome of what could have been-a great relationship. Best of luck in the future-I hope it works out for you.

They did a beautiful job on my pom she smelled so good and was as soft as a cloud when she came out I absolutely love her new look and I will be bringing her back to these sweet Lady's for sure!
