On 2/14/2024 I visited this store location I stopped to look at some of the rifles and hand guns originally I was there for a air rifle Paul was the associate working in this department I walked over to the counter and immediately I was ignored Paul treated me like a women should not be in this department I tried to tell him I have purchased a shot gun in this department before but he did not want me In this department I asked him if I can touch and feel one of the boxed rifles that was box because it wasn't on display he said no because that was the job of the morning crew he then grabbed the box out of my hands I said wow you have a horrible attitude I had to get a manager Chanda to get someone else to assist me in this department because Chanda said Paul lied it is his job to take the gun out box so I can hold I was discriminated against by Paul because I am a woman.

Friendly. I was looking for something particular in the store and the salesperson which was a tall gentleman with glasses. He walked me all the way over to what I was looking for. Once I got down the aisle I had some questions about the measurements. Another gentleman older with glasses was putting out tables. He stayed there with me and helped me figure out some measurements. I really appreciate ithe help

Amazing staff! Had to pick up a large pool table today and staff was incredibly helpful. Not only did they help me get it into my truck but they were concerned that the rain may damage the product while I drive it 30 min to my home. They helped me get a tarp and as a result I was able to get it home and it great condition. I am so grateful for all of their help and going the extra mile

Just left Academy at the festival center with my son. Hunter assisted us on the purchase of a Taurus G3. He was EXTREMELY helpful with all questions and went the extra mile to get correct and updated info about ammo that was on sale but wasn’t showing the sale price at the time, although the other assistant didn’t take the time to find out and just quoted the wrong price despite the fact that Hunter had already said he thought they were still on sale. But the other assistant insisted that the sale was over. But Hunter double checked and triple checked and the sale was still on. Hunter was extremely helpful. Thanks Hunter, we will definitely come looking for you again with our next purchase

I made an online order because one of the items I wanted was not available in store. I waited to pick up until both items were available. ALL of my texts and emails said I had until 8/30/23 to pick up. I went in today, and when Jerry scanned my order he first told me it was cancelled because I didn't pay. I then got a notification JUST THEN that the order had been cancelled and I would be *refunded* because it had already been paid for. I tried to clarify, but Jerry told me it was somewhere in my email that it was cancelled. I again said that I JUST got the cancellation email and he walked away. I said, "whatever" and then literally heard him mocking me! I realize that things happen, but please listen to customers and don't mock them. 🙄

We bought fishing chairs for the entire family and added umbrella add ins for only 5 dollars each. We will use them at the beach and to fish for years to come. Great quality and low cost. Perfect to prevent sunburns..

The store is always clean and well organized. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Parking lot has plenty of handicapped parking, wheelchair ramps and electric sliding doors for people that need them. Huge parking area for others. Store is easy to navigate, each department is labeled. I've never had a reason to complain about the location or the company itself.

Not really friendly feeling. Everyone was busy ignoring customers. Inventory was weak on inexpensive items but plenty of the expensive versions. I found the gun case I was looking for at Quints for half the price.

They can do better as far as selection goes but otherwise The staff was nice and helpful. Prices are fair on most items. If you can't find the shoe in store they will gladly order them for you online and have them shipped to your front door.Oh I almost forgot This particular store no longer sell school uniforms in store.

In don't know 8f it's me. I get it a lot . Employees at retail stores kind of linger and basically watch to see if I steal and I guess report to their boss. I don't let it get to me for the most part, that particular person is doing their job.Walmart has the worst service and since self check out Ive started going back out to those high school days shopping places again. I'm just tired of every place doing this to me. What should I do? Anyone else dealt with this ??

Curbside provides damaged items then refuses easy refunds. We chose a curbside pickup for a 3 pound container of Isopure protein powder. We’ve picked it up this location curbside previously with no issues. When we arrived home we discovered the item had previously been opened. Possibly returned and sold again? I called and they confirmed it should have a safety seal, but refused to refund it automatically. They said I would need to make the hour round trip to return it. Understandably, this takes out all of the convenience and is also a safety issue to sell damaged/open food items. While I understand these things happen, I would hope they had a better process for items they picked out - they bagged - and brought to a curbside customer considering it wasn’t the customer error AND the item is being trashed anyway- now I just have to drive back to the store for them to trash it.

It's been a while since I've been to this location, and it will probably be a while until I go back. I had a curbside pickup order and followed the instructions as given. Well, as much as I could because they didn't match the experience (there were no marked parking spots that I could see, so I parked by the front door). I waited 15 or so minutes waiting on my order. I called the store (as suggested by the pickup instructions) and was met with a message that the store was closed (it wasn't). I went inside to inquire and was met with casual indifference. The employees seemingly could care less that I had an order that I had to come inside for and seemed annoyed that I interrupted their conversation. When they finally got around to checking on why nobody brought my order out, the excuse was they couldn't hear it. If it were me, I would have apologized and tried to understand what happened so it wouldn't happen again. Instead they tried to usher me out as quickly as possible so they could resume their conversation. Honestly I would almost rather drive out of my way to another store than do business at this location again.

I ordered a small grill for $24.99 online from the Festival Center location. I arrived at the store to pickup my order, I wasn't greeted by the greeter standing there. I had to state my business to get pointed in the right direction to pickup my order. Awesome grill, the customer service on the other hand is a different story.

This store location is always abundantly stocked. The staff was friendly and always welcoming you with a smile. This location is organized. The young lady working the floor on Monday night at approximately 7:45pm on 8-2-21 was extremely helpful and showed valuable customer service skills.

Edit: Okay, the check out lines are getting ridiculous. I was in there today to pick up one thing and was in line for 20 minutes to check out. There was about 8 customers total spread between 2 checkout lanes and no one even had more than 2 or 3 items to checkout. No one had a huge cartful of stuff. There shouldn’t be any reason it takes 5 minutes to check out for each customer. Ridiculous. Maybe look into getting some self checkout lanes because the empty check outs are a waste of space. I’ll pay more to go somewhere else if it means I don’t have to stand in line for no reason.Original: Employees are helpful and there are tons of selection here. It’s too bad we always miss the good sales because we come in too late. Only thing I wish they’d have is more available check out lanes. Usually only has one or two and it can take a while to wait in line, especially if someone in front of you is trying to process returns.

I'm impressed with this store at the Festival Center and by their employees/associates! I recently did a small online order for curbside pickup. Someone came out right away(before I even clicked the link to notify them that I had arrived)! She got my order number then returned promptly within minutes to give me my bag/items. They are very professional and efficient! I'm so grateful for this curbside pickup service they have started offering. I think it helps keep their employees and customers safe! I have always loved Academy! I am so glad they were able to help me get a couple of items I needed!
