Love going to meridianville star market l. from Donna in the office and the manager to the lot guys/ baggers are wonderful l. We walk in and it's like going into a friend's store. We live off of oakwood Ave but would rather drive north to our favorite store.

i called star market to order some pizza and it said “hit 1 for terrys pizza” so I did. Waited 6 MINUTES with no answer. So I hang up and call customer service and Josh answers. He transfers me to deli and the older woman answers and told me you have to hang up and press one. I told her that I did do that and waited 6 minutes and no one answered and she was like “well they’re busy today” so I said ok…. I call back and sat on the phone for 45 minutes (had already started just making dinner at this point). So then I’m like let call customer service again and josh answers again and I was like so I waited for 45 minutes and NO ONE answered the phone. And he was like yeah the lady back there she’s by herself and like yeah. And I was like so you’re gonna tell me she been helping people for 45 minutes straight and she could answer the phone for deli but not for pizza? Y’all it’s the same person! She literally sat there and let the phone ring!!!!!! Then he gonna be like oh yeah our pizza oven is out……I was like YOU COULDNT TELL ME THIS AN HOUR AGO WHEN I FIRST CALLED!!????? The disrespect I felt today is ridiculous and was so uncalled for, if I could give ZERO stars I would!!!

Have always loved Star Market both Huntsville and Meridianville but I truly believe Darden Heritage needs to visit and re-evaluate his Meridianville store. IF he is still the owner. If not then the current owners should.

Star pharmacy does not support the troops. Growing up in Meridianville, I saw Star market’s pharmacy take care of it’s customers. I personally witnessed medicine being given under promise to pay, on payday. Those days are over. Horrible experience, after horrible experience and I still stayed loyal to a company that could care less about me. Today was the last day I’ll ever be a customer there again.The mission act was passed in 2018. This allows veterans to receive care outside of the VA. To include prescriptions. Five years and Star pharmacy still cannot comply. After receiving my social they stated “that I’m eligible, but it’s not going through”. What I find odd is the doctors office I just visited had zero problems verifying my VA benefits and billing me.The pharmacist, or pharmacy tech then stated that she would drop my one of my prescriptions down from 12 pills to 6 to make it cheaper. Three times she said why would you need 12 anyways. You will not need that many….I guess I should just trust her over a MD.What wrecked me the most is I sat for 12 minutes while running a 103 degree fever. Just so they could charge me for medication that I get free of charge. Way to treat a veteran.

I have shopped every grocery store and specialty store in a 100 mile radius. The meat that Star market sells absolutely slays everywhere else. My Husband is an executive chef at a very prestigious steakhouse here in town ( as in just dinner will cost you a minimum of $80+ per person, no drinks, no desserts, nada ) and says that his restaurant could EASILY serve Star Markets meats over the high-end, high-priced supplier they have to use now. I will go here just to get meat, but the bakery, deli, and produce departments are well worth the trip too, they are second to none. I Love this place, this is not a corporate giant but a phenomenal place to buy food that really, truly does care that you are very happy when you leave. Every employee that I have ever dealt with has been very courteous and will stop what they are doing to help you.

This place a little higher on their prices. Maybe due to location. One plus for star market is they also have a pharmacy. The staff are very friendly down to earth people. They will sure enough help you find something if you can't. I will go back every now and then but not to buy groceries.

Had a bad experience with star market employees. He blatantly said I couldn't read. And was very arrogant about it because I called him out on a price. not so groomed white guy, was very angry because I was telling truth about the price. He was a bagger, the cashier was super nice. We are military and he was out of line. And the manager did nothing. Rude employee don't have room in work place.Time in store 13:30 pm.Linda Thigpen

All of the staff there are amazing! The product selection is great for the size of the store. This location has been a staple in the community for years and will hopefully continue to be. The meat market is hands down better than the box stores. The owner is so invested in the history of the community that he bought the actual ovens from Terry's Pizza to continue that local pizza staple. Also, the pharmacy employees are always helpful and friendly. Darden (owner) has been a great advocate and supporter for the community and will continue to be an example for the generations to follow.

The friendly faces at Star Market are always a welcome sight.Update: Star Market has stocked shelves and their meat department has very good prices. Grocery prices are rising rapidly and I find what I need here at much better prices.

The staff always greet you as you come through the door. They are always friendly. Anytime you don't see the kind of meat you want the gentlemen that work in the meat department will immediately go in the back and check to see if they have any more. I always notice that the manager will always look you in the face and give you a hello and a big smile. Great staff in all areas.

groceries and gas are too high to get home and the produce you’ve bought is rotten. This has happened three times now, with the lettuce especially. I fault myself for not going to a minute more up the road to Publix, sure you’re paying even more but at least the vegetables don't taste rank. I’ve even seen molded fruits right on the shelves. The store is never busy enough for y’all to have rotten or expired anything. If you want to keep us from the big box stores you gotta do better, the prices are already higher than those stores so I’d expect nothing less than the best. Shoppers be warned!

I use the pharmacy and anyone local too the Huntsville area. They own the rights to and bake Terry's Pizzas and it is so good! Pick up and bake at home or buy fresh baked to order!

I have debated posting this, but with all the new folks moving in, they need to know. I have shopped here for years, but the last couple of years it has gone downhill. Better check expiration dates, if you don't I can promise at least one or more of the items is out of date when you get home. I tried to buy a tomotto, there were 5, all five had dime size rotten spots. Conveyor belts have not worked in years. Pathetic.But don't go to Star Market in 5 points, you will get your feelings hurt. It is like walking into Whole Foods. The owners of Star should be ashamed of yourself, you can do better, you just don't care.

I usually get all my meats here. Always fresh and the best prices. The produce is not the best, most of the time it looks old and wilted. But, the employees are all very friendly and every single one of them greet you, big plus for me.

The 2 times that i have ordered the deli's chicken fingers was tough. It was like chewing gum. Not at all kidding you. Everything else was great, but they need to work on that, seriously!

Great pizza, everyone I encountered that work there are all very friendly, a great hometown grocery store. I love that they have a butcher who cuts the meat it's not pre-cut and pre- packaged.
