This has to be the best Kroger I ever visited. When I say they have everything, they really do have everything. This Kroger will make a trip to the grocery store a lot more than just getting groceries. The bakery and butcher/meat department is amazing. You have to come check this Kroger out. You will not be disappointed. They did a great job with this store. The only thing I found strange was the empty area / blocked area near County Line in the parking lot. Otherwise, you need to check this store out!

*** 1 week since my last post. Still no change. See images taken today (12/30/2023).It is quite unfortunate that the doors in the cold section do NOT close. It has been this way since opening. Some areas have cardboard in between the doors. The cardboard is NOT serving any purpose. The cardboard does not keep the doors closed. Is Kroger planning to resolve this issue? Additionally, I have bought poultry twice that was not any good. These issues need to be addressed ASAP!

The produce department has given up at Kroger rotten meat in the meat department and molded parmigiano cheese in the cheese department.

I'm only giving the score I'm giving because I have had this issue a couple times now that I have been shopping at this store and that is the minute you are walking away from the aisles after checking out trying to get out of the store and the carts keep locking up on me. To the point that my shin got tore up today. And then the employee wanted to act like I was a burden because he had to come over and unlock this cart. I get people not wanting their carts stolen. But it shouldn't lock up on you as soon as you're trying to walk out of the stores.

This store is newer, but has some serious issues. Stopped in multiple times at 10AM and the meat and seafood isn't setup. WHY?! The store has been open for a few hours by this time. Produce department needs some work. A lot of produce is near the best buy date or bruised.The self checkout is another story, they need a new software load. The systems are validating weights for every item you put in the bag. Most of which are off by a ounce or so causing validation by the attendant after 4 or 5 items. This also causes checkout to be longer than going throw a manned lane. This is the ONLY Kroger in the area I have had sooooooooooooooooooooo many issues with the self checkout.

The Kroger at 72 and County Line Road has been open for a short time now. It's nestled in a beautiful county setting and has everything one could want at a big grocery store.

I think the new Kroger is nice, it has a nice layout. I am disappointed with his employees. The few times I’ve been there specifically at checkout, they’re gathered around more concerned about their gossip and conversation. The manager was stating there a part of the conversation eating her bag of chips.

Just opened in Sept 2023. Still working out some kinks.Doesn’t have the style of many Kroger’s and the Walmart close by is actually a little nicer inside appearance wise.Good selections and prices.

All their food is rotten. I just got home and my blueberry's and raspberries have one day left. My avacodos are rotten through. I thought I could eat them tonight. Nope. The cheese obvious was left unrefrigerated and then re refrigerated because the bag of shredded cheese was mush in the mild. Calling the health department. No one is taking this food off the shelf and I just wasted about 50 dollars. Never ever be back. Oh, and had to bag my own groceries even though I went through a checkout line. Seriously, this grocery store isn't not fit to be open.

We just went into the new Kroger just to get cold cuts. Workers saw us waiting no one helped. Went to the store manager for assistance told us” The workers are on break what do you want me to do.” I didn’t expect that response so my family and I just left our cart of items and walked out. I never ever experienced this from Kroger. Especially, when it was recently opened at this location. I will shop somewhere else.

A wonderful addition to our area. Beautiful design and very well stocked. Kroger is a pleasant, yet affordable alternative to Walmart when it comes to groceries. This location's accessibility is somewhat difficult due to the overgrowing traffic in the area, but that's just reality. Kroger seems to attract a higher caliber of employees than Walmart, as evidenced by the state of their merchandise and the environment as a whole. While I would anticipate your groceries to cost 10 to 20% more at Kroger that they would at Walmart - if you are cautious and focus on their specials, you will find your totals to be very near the same at checkout. If, like so many in today's economy, you pay little attention to your bottom line - you can expect to overpay - and I thank you for that. 😉 It allows shoppers like me to enjoy this nice store, while YOU fund all of their profits. The store layout is absurdly confusing. I shelled out 12 bucks for cream and butter, only to discover the butter wrapper is torn. Your self-checkout stations are consistently malfunctioning, and navigating the parking lot and gas station feels like a driving obstacle course. It's as if you entrusted the entire operation to some MBA-wielding bungler, hoping to eke out a measly half-percent profit increase.

Not impressed with their fresh food. Bought two bags of apples, one was full of bruises and the other was also full of bruised apples but the apples were also mush. Few days later bought an overpriced salad for $10. It ultimately ended up in the trash. Cucumbers were soggy and lettuce was wilted. Also, fix your damn fridge doors. They don't stay closed. You're a brand new store. Shouldn't be having these issues. 🙄

Good morning. Review for Kroger at 72 and County Line, Madison Al. We had some trouble, for the fifth time(!), with the same checkout lady (Tina). 1. Today she didn't want to honor the Kroger 70% discount on Halloween candy. She wouldn't scan it and I had to return it to the display. The stocker there checked it and said it was included...of course. Hassel. 2. We bought 2 turkeys and she rang up 3. Off to the service center for a refund. Hassel. Previously she has argued with us about the items, prices, quantities, etc etc. Ridiculous that she make it such a hassle for us to shop. We are Krogerites thru and thru and now have to shop at another store. A call to the manager was phew phew'ed that nobody has complained so she didn't need to talk or air our problem with Tina. Tina, learn your job. Manager, give us the respect to take our complaint seriously. Bye Bye Kroger at Hwy 72 and County Line

Terrible customer service. First time shopping at this location walk to a register and the cashier standing around eating instead of ringing up my stuff and when asked to be rung up cashier starts cussing at me saying idk anything and that I don’t work there and persisted to just argue with me and have an attitude the whole time. Cashier claimed she was a supervisor… I feel bad for the people that shop there regularly that have to deal with this “supervisor” and there idea of customer service.

So Kroger's has opened their new store finally on the north end of County Line and Hwy. 72. Big whoop. Like all grocery stores and their lack of good deals and high prices (notice how coupons have practically disappeared from flyers in the mail and the like?) you have to be on high alert for the BOGOs and good deals when offered. Pick up the sales flyer when going into the store. Maybe the best thing about Kroger's is earning fuel savings when buying groceries. I've gotten up to 40 cents off a gallon before but that requires a lot of expensive grocery shopping there.Lastly, keep in mind that as a corporation, Kroger's is far-left WOKE. They fall into the same leftist claptrap that Starbucks does, and I've completely eviscerated Starbucks from my coffee regimen altogether. Because of Kroger's support of far-left domestic terrorist organizations, my shopping there has fallen off by at least 90% over the past three years or so. Just like with the Bud Light fiasco, vote with your wallet and hit them where it hurts the worst! 😐😐😐

How can the management not care? I asked to talk to a manager about rotten produce and meat. The manager was very rude and said, "Move the rotten stuff and get the fresher stuff. Some people like it." Who likes rotten meat and produce?

It may be new, but it’s mediocre at best. The layout is quite inconsistent. Additionally, the selection of products is far less compared to other Krogers in the area or even the Publix down the road.The store is also very LOUD!

I was given disgusting raspberries in my pickup order. I went to return them and had an absolutely unacceptable experience. I waited at customer service for about 5 mins until a young man showed up WITH AN EYEROLL! Then asked me "what do you need" and took me at a register covered in junk and blocked by a cart. I was trying to show him the receipt and he gave a big sigh like I was such an inconvenience.I love the rest of the store but this guy should not be allowed to work customer service at all.11/4 at 12:30pm

Definitely overhyped. Felt like I was stuck in a maze. Empty shelves and cases (seems like they didn't plan well for all of the display cases). I wasn't greeted by a single employee, and most looked like they didn't want to be there. Prices seemed okay, not really any good bargains. All in all, I was not impressed. Will continue to shop the other locations. New does not equal better.

I shopped at the store the day after it opened. OMG, what a store! Well stocked, very clean, and friendly staff. I was able to purchase everything I needed on my grocery list. It will be my regular store, great location for West Madison.
