Multiple meat and cheese items were in the display cases with expired sell by dates. I pointed it out to multiple employees, including a manager. None seemed too interested. Snack shop was out of several items. I ordered and paid for a hotdog & and soda. I was handed a very small hotdog. Worker said BJ's only gives them a limited amount of the regular hotdogs each day then uses the sub-standard dogs the rest of the day. Not sure they are setting a good example of a new store in Huntsville AL.

Found what we came for and by chance ran across a good buy on potting soil. Wife is a gardner and wanted a number of bags. We needed help and called for assistance. Soon James from utilities dept? came over and asked if he could help. He got us a flat cart and loaded it up and then went to our truck and transferred the bags of soil to our truck. What a great representative he is for your store. Thank you James. We routinely buy here because it's so convenient. Have no problems with their gasoline. We like it but we are selective buyers.

I decided to cancel my membership at this store after just over a month. Today marked my third and final visit. While I typically give new businesses the benefit of the doubt, three consecutive disappointments are my limit. The main reasons for my cancellation include my perception that the membership is primarily a tactic to push a credit card. I notice comparable prices elsewhere without membership requirements, numerous items lacking prices. discrepancies between displayed and checkout prices, and today's frustration over their inability to honor rewards I earned upon joining. It's regrettable that this store, despite its convenient location, lacks organization. I prefer traveling a bit farther for a more satisfying shopping experience at Costco or even Sam’s. On a positive note, both the person who initially sold me a membership and the person who refunded my membership fee were extremely helpful, polite, and professional.

I wish the sale items were labeled on the shelves. Product selection is not very wide. Great produce section. Very clean store. Well stocked. Employees are scarce in the feeling and bakery areas.

If you can find it at Sam's Club, come to BJ's. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices, great fuel options (pay with card OR cash), and serves as a great alternative to Sam's. I have both Memberships with all the perks, and I have the best of both worlds.

Terrible!!! Have to get a membership to shop, the line for the membership we waited over 30 minutes to get to someone. They had one older man helping Do memberships, and two and three others were assisting with some other single customer issue that went on the entire time we were in line and after. we just needed a day pass to shop, it was our first time. Terrible experience… prices didn’t even look that great on most things I saw. Wanted to leave before I could even look around. You guys could do better. Seriously. 😐

I enjoy doing a lot of my shopping here and every thing is comparable to Costco & the gas is actually cheaper than Costco. And I like that have some smaller options for produce and ready to eat items. BUT they have not had their colossal cookies the last 3 times I’ve been in and I’m getting pretty upset. You can’t hook a pregnant lady with the most perfect, gigantic $1 cookies and then NOT HAVE THEM AVAILABLE WHEN SHES 9 MONTHS PREGNANT! I’m mostly joking but kinda not.

Would be 5 stars if it weren't for the fact that self checkout yells at you. It does NOT need to be that loud.Staff at front are kind and helpful, prices are decent. Self checkout machines are so loud they hurt my ears.

Place is more organized than Sam's. Prices are very competitive but Costco has more variety (which is surprising since Costco's business model relies on fewer SKUs). One needs to use the app in order to take advantage of better deals (coupons) but the app is slow.Tire prices are on the high side compared to local shops (WalMart included), but not as high as tire prices in Costco. Staff is very friendly and more helpful than Costco or Sams. You can accumulate rewards ($$$) leasing to incredible discounts! This makes BJs cheaper overall.

Very clean and well organized store at least at the Huntsville location. The staff is friendly and helpful. Have tried numerous items from their internal brand Wellsley Farms but have only liked a couple of things.

Food truck venders are buying out the entire inventory of $1 cookies. One bought 15 cookies right in front of my daughter, and LAUGHED WHEN SHE ASKED IF THEY HAD ANY LEFT OVER. BJs is not for families. They’re for food truck vendors upselling $1 cookies to $5 at their food trucks. This has happened repeatedly. Melvin said that he would talk to upper management about putting a limit on the buys. Apparently upper management disagrees that non food truck vendor customers should be incentivized by 6 inch cookie for $1 walking into the store.

We joined BJ’s Club today so we can take advantage of the cost savings which are significant for the items we need frequently.It’s a large store with a wide array of products from groceries to clothing and even TV’s.One reason their prices are attractive is the small number of associates to help customers find products. We don’t mind searching for things ourselves. In fact, it turns out being a way to get a little exercise.I’m glad we signed up today and I recommend it as long as you don’t mind walking and helping yourself.

Came to get my husband's card that was offered through his company. While at customer service, Mary started yelling at me while I was telling my husband I was frustrated stating it is still rude because I am talking about her and she can hear me. I told her I was frustrated with the system and NOT her. What a rude way to handle a customer. Very embarrassing that she raised her voice and lost her cool. Front desk service is the face of the company. Very unfortunate experience. Maybe we will stick with Costco since I have never had an experience like that with them and they are way busier....

I returned an item and looked at my bank account and noticed the employee rang the item up as a purchase instead. There isn't a phone number on the receipt. Went online and got the store number and spoke to the manager who said that I have to go into the store for a credit although I live hours away. When I also told her about items were ringing up different from what it marked in the store she cut me off and refused to listen. How did she make manager? I will not be renewing my membership.

BJs prices are worse than CostCo and Sam’s.BJs product quality is less than Walmart — CostCo quality is so much better.BJs return policies are terrible — again CostCo’s return policies are wonderful.BJs customer service is terrible — nobody knows anything and can’t help you. It took them almost an hour to get our membership cards. Then their posted prices were different than the coupons and they said just take the products up to the register and the coupon price will be used, but it wasn’t. Then the gas pumps would not recognize any of our credit cards. The one service rep in the gas area could not get the pumps to work.Just terrible service.So we will gladly go to CostCo where you get great products at great prices and their customer service is wonderful.Cancelled our membership without leaving the store. No need to reward such poor customer service and pathetic business policies with our money. BJs seriously needs to hire higher quality help and train them.

Can't believe the customer service that is going on at BJ'S. I expected this place to treat their consumers nicely and with respect. I used the assistance button at self checkout and stood there for 10 minutes while making eye contact with multiple employees who never came to help. Then when I went to ask an employee for help, who was chatting with another worker, she looked at me as if I had disrupted her "work" and didn't want to come help until I kept asking her over and over again. Her attitude was pretty bad as if I was an inconvenience for her. Why have an assistance button if no one is going to go and help?

I am excited that BJ'S has opened their doors in Madison. I have been a member for many years. They have good products, coupons, goods and services. So far the staff has been accommodating and polite. As with anything, there is an adjustment period.

Overall the place is ok in most aspects it is no different than Costco or Sam's club, some of their prices are cheaper that that of competitors, however they have a lot of issues to work out. I went shopping today for an hour and half and when I got to the checkout with all my stuff I went to redeem my rewards, and the machine would not accept them. At first the machine took the points and then refused to let me pay. It took 4 employees and about 30ish minutes to get my points back and after which it still wouldnt let me use them so the staff just told me to come back another day which unfortunately does not fit my schedule. I definitely feel as though their needs to be more employee training and help. The stores new so we shouldn't attack them yet but there is definitely some kinks that need to be worked out. Overall so far I am unpleased with my initial impressions of the store.

Deborah at the customer service counter was useless. The 2 managers that came over to help with my return were useless as well. One walked off without even saying anything. As a result, I wasn't able to return my gift cards that I purchased from BJ'S. My credit card company is helping me now.

Every time I've been there this month there have been no cashiers. Self checkout only. I didn't realize I had paid for a membership that included free labor. Maybe next year I can upgrade to the inner circle membership and they'll let me stock the shelves too.

Store product prices similar to Sam's Club and Costco, though BJ's has a greater variety of vegetables than either Sam's Club or Costco does. However, BJ's does not off the same type of products that both Costco and Sam's Club does. BJ's gas is 4 cents cheaper than both Costco or Sam's Club does because with BJ's credit card you can get 5 cents off, 10 cents off, 15 cents off regular gas prices, which neither Sam's Club nor Costco offers

Ordered a massage chair and it was suppose to be delivered 2 weeks ago. Have had to call and be put on hold almost everyday with delivery company and bj customer service. Definitely not worth ordering online.

No way to search for ladies , men's or children's clothen on app. We signed up online .. walked in. Also no waiting .. didn't need the customer service .. I USE THE APP. NO WAITING.. WE GOT A TEN DOLLAR REWARD.. PAID FOR THE 25.00 DOLLAR MILITARY CARD...EVERY THING IS LAID OUT NICE.. I also check out on my phone or self check out. No waiting!

Friendly workers, they can't tell you when items will be restocked. Lots of parking. Deli cheeses cut to your specifications.
