Not sure if it was because of the supply chain issues but some of the meat looked spoiled. The peaches & Brussels sprouts I bought there got moldy after 2 days. I would keep driving to the next town for a better grocery store.

Great prices. Excellent selectionof fresh meats and produce. Cheapest place I have found onevery thing lately. All the stores employees were very nice andhelpful. The store was clean and organized really well. I willbe shopping at the Gateway Foodland in Curry Alabama more often now.💯 great place to shop.

I've never had a bad experience with employees. They are all super nice and helpful. They often have items I use on sale,which is nice. Some items are price a little high though.

Enjoy shopping in this store. The people are polite and friendly. The prices are reasonable. It’s not a huge supermarket, national chain or Walmart. Another reason to shop here. Independently owned. Some items might be a little higher in price than chain stores. But, the store brands are inexpensive and quality products. They also have a deli and bakery. Good store, reasonable prices, good selection and quality and very convenient.

I buy my meat here. The quality and price is great. You can catch good sales on freezer foods and condiments here and there. It’s usually cheaper to buy non sale items at Walmart though.

It's a very clean store, well stocked, with an ok selection but not for the other ethics living here.The one reason I will not return there is because the prices are way too high, even for a small community. They have prices compared to Kroger, Randall's, schnucks.The cashier that took care of me was a very young boy with no emotion or smile. He looked bored and didn't want to be there. Didn't even say hello when it was my time to check out.Update 10/12/22..... pretty clean, prices still alittle high. The cashier was nice , customer personality. Still wouldn't be a regular customer. Haven't been there since my last review. I was just there shortly for 3 things. Plus I wasn't the driver.

Love this grocery store! Great prices and convenient for my area. Meats are really priced decent. Produce is in great shape but much higher here than Aldi unfortunately. Good variety of items and will order something if you dont see it on shelf. The cashiers are always so friendly and the meat department guys are so helpful. They will cut specially for you. Very nice laid back lake life atmosphere.

There was a incident that happened well over 10 yrs ago ( we had someone I was with and it had nothing to do with) and the manager is so stuck on himself he told me I couldn't shop there! Despite me apologizing to him for the person who had caused the problem! This experience has kicked me down into a severe depression. Also the person that actually caused the problem has passed away. So I'm basically blame for something I didn't do and I have to travel to town to go to the grocery store when I have one right beside my house! This is severely and convenient and shameful. This manager really needs to grow up! Other than that it's a good grocery store. I just wish that is fire him! Judge not. Your not God!

I "visit" probably twice a day to support my cooking and baking habits. The Food Club brand is super solid, and I'm hard pressed to ever find an item they're missing in store. The staff is always super helpful as well!

I love Gateway BUT today was a bad experience. Maybe it was after Thanksgiving laziness but was unacceptable. When I walked in, I had to move and extension cord to get a shopping cart. Then I had to ask a couple employees to move the garbage can for me to get by. All while there were a group of employees busy talking in the front of the store.Then at checkout there were two registers with lights on. I was the only one who walked up, a lady helped me right away and was extremely friendly. There were than two people who got in line behind me, I asked the cashier if someone was working the other register. I had several items and didn’t want people waiting on me. Then at one point there were six or seven people waiting to be checked out. And at least five employees standing in front of the registers talking and laughing. I then turned to the group of employees and asked if anybody else was working the registers because the line kept getting longer and they were not helping. No one even acknowledged that I spoke. Not even the adult in the group. I apparently interrupted their playtime of catching up after putting up the Christmas tree. After about 30 seconds of a dirty look for one of the girls she then opens a register. No one even acknowledged that no one was helping customers. Or even apologized for the delays. Additionally, I understand things may have changed since Covid, however the gateway that I am used to, there are people that assist in bagging items. The sweet girl who checked me out bagged everything herself and put all of the bags in the shopping cart. If this were the gateway I worked at 25 years ago, we would have been fired for this.On last thing, the employee at the deli counter was extremely friendly, however, during COVID, I’d appreciate employees, especially someone who is handing my unpackaged food to wear a mask and a hair net.

Great friendly people clean store always well organized good prices on some items butcher on site and they cut their own fresh meat to your desire and that is just wonderful and the meat absolutely delicious always. Also Walmart meat is NEVER prepackaged nor does itv comes already clean and cut a what you are getting at the majority and the major of almost every single store..

The only thing I don't like is Everytime I get hamburger meat there it is pretty and pink on outside and brown on inside, which probably means they are mixing old meat with new. I have had to throw out meat so many times. They need to fix this problem. Other than that they are a great place to shop.

I like getting groceries from here. It is very easy to navigate, and find what you need. My only problem is, when I go to check out, some of the girls are rude. The other day, one was complaining because the lady had asked for the change she had forgotten to give her. She was saying she was “rude,” and this was while she was checking me out; very unprofessional.

It's been over a year since we've shopped here since moving farther away & We chose to shop at Foodland today due to the nice experiences in the past but, after the experience we had today I won't ever be back! We were at Register 3 waiting for our turn, the express lane was empty but we had alot more than 10 items. The young lady went to Register 2 & said"I can take you" so we moved to the register and started unpacking the cart. Next thing I see is our Cashier running and giggling toward a young guy outside. We had no idea what to do. She abandoned us. She finally made her way back in and said coldly "Number 1"....then WHY tell us that she can get us on Register 2? She didn't speak a word to us... and didn't even tell us THANK YOU or Anything. I won't post her Cashier# publicly but if Mngmnt wants it, I'll be glad to give it to them.

Has all the basics. Produce is iffy. Meat market is good, but the butcher's usually won't help you. I needed something ground up and he said he had already cleaned all the equipment.
