This is a very clean store and absolutely huge! I love that they have plus sizes so well organized- you rarely find that in thrift stores. Most general merchandise I found to be pretty well priced, but pricing did fluctuate pretty heavily among items. It definitely wasn't on the super expensive end though. Definitely a must-visit if you like looking around and taking your time!

Decent thrifting if you want to spend major money. Almost everything aside from clothing is 80% of original price. 200$ for an ottoman? 30$ for a small trinket holder? 130$ for a toolbox set originally 160 at Walmart? 80$ for a patio set missing a chair but is 120$ at Walmart for a full set. These people are ripping off the community, whoever prices things needs to be fired promptly. Don't bring your things here, don't buy anything here.

Very well organized, but the prices were outrageously High! Some items were priced higher or same as buying new.While checking out cashier asked if I’d like to donate a $1.00. Absolutely NOT!Very disappointed.

Unfortunately I won’t be shopping here again. I went in and purchased what I thought was a table and chairs for $75 as the tag was only on the chairs. I drove around to pick up and they immediately told me it was just the chairs. I never touched them or took them out of the store as we all realized the mistake. I asked how much for the table but because it wasn’t tagged they stated they would have to reprocess it but it would be at least $200. The sweet lady said she would have to ask her boss to refund the money in the morning because of the situation. I came back the next day and explained the situation, but the rudeness of the “boss” was very off-putting as so many ladies were friendly and understanding. As I explained to her, the merchandise never left the store as I totally understood the need for it to stay there. I was able to eventually get a refund however was basically told don’t come back, so I won’t. I really wish I could give 5 stars to the other ladies as everyone was so nice and pleasant. Many very used items did costs more than new merchandise in other store so I would encourage others to shop around first but my prayer is that this ministry is a true blessing to these ladies and wishing them all much success.

I bring my mother Birmingham several times a week. We always love to stop at this thrift store. They are always clean great selection. The last time we were in Mrs.Jackie was so helpful and patient with my elderly mother. If you ever need help request Mrs. Jackie she made the experience shopping there very enjoyable.

April 26, 2023-Haven’t been since before Easter but I could not believe the prices!!! They must think everything is made of gold! I know they’re in business to make money but items were priced 2-3 times what they should be. Many of the employees are abrasive and seem to not want to be bothered. Overall store just seems dirty.

I’ve shopped this store for years now but over the last year their prices are that of a retail store and not a thrift store. Especially on the furniture. I understand a seller wanting to get top dollar for an item but when you’re a business who’s profits support women in need it’s important to move inventory quickly and I’m starting to notice how long their stuff sits compared to years back. They need to understand that people can pay retail anywhere they go so they are losing what’s special about them. The most beat up, hardware missing pieces will be priced at retail or higher, the demographic that shops there can’t afford it and can’t fix it either. Your price it low so they have a reason to purchase. This isn’t a reflection on the staff bc they work hard and are friendly but please stop pricing stuff based off unsold items on the Internet.

Very overpriced for a thrift store. Poorly organized and not a great clothing selection. There are so many more better thrift stores in bham! Also why is the lighting so dark and spooky?? Can barely see!!

Update: Lovelady is so close to losing my business. Their pricing has become outrageous and especially for a thrift store. I understand it is for a cause and I’m all about supporting them, but they are hurting themselves more than helping themselves. I found a dress here today $13 new from Ross that Lovelady priced at $25! They also have hundreds of vinyl records that they’re trying to sell for $1.98/record, which is higher than any thrift store around. I spoke with the manager Jackie about purchasing 25+ records and she said “they are $1.98/record unless I bought 100+ of them.One of my favorite thrift stores in Birmingham, and for a good cause! They always have great holiday decorations and they have a huge selection of shoes, which is good for a girl with big feet like me! Cute size 10 shoes have to be hunted for! The furniture and electronic section can have some solid finds as well.

I love this store! I try visit on a weekly basis. Are some things over priced? Yes. However, for the most part you can get high quality items for good prices! This store is the kind that takes time and patience to go through. If you are willing and able to do so you will find some amazing things! I love the staff too. All the ladies are very sweet and helpful. They are the main reason I shop here and support these wonderful women!!💕🛍

I'm retired so I though I would donate about 20 of my nicest dress shirts - had them laundered at Kay Cleaners, put on hangers and in plastic bags. I asked the lady at "donations" to handle them carefully , to which she promptly wadded them all up and stuffed them on a cart. She was also rude so I will not be back. As in forever.

Big inventory that is constantly updated and resupplied. Found many, many treasures and surprises over the years here. You do unfortunately have to turn a blind eye to long reported culture of essentially indentured servitude by the nice ladies in recovery (read: vulnerable and in need of help/ recovery services) that work there, unpaid if the rumors are accurate. I can’t speak to that, but they do occasionally ask laughable prices for certain items perceived as desirable.All that said, I frequent the place at least weekly if not twice per, and the finds outweigh the occasionally silly appraisal/ pricing.

Can you please educate your stores?This notice in the Irondale location, stating “we can only allow registered service Dogs and you must present an ID if you enter” is in violation of federal and state laws regarding service animals.I’ve been a frequent shopper for years. I’m disabled with a service dog who graduated out of a service dog program.I advocate for ADA federal rights.ID are scams. They hold no legal authority. It is also illegal for your stores or employees to even ask to see them.You can ask if it’s a service animal required for a disability and what task is it trained to perform. But you legally cannot require an ID regardless of what your store policy is.ID only come from scam websites. I guarantee someone who shows an ID does not have a legitimate trained service dog.You have legal rights to remove a dog that is not trained.But no legal right to ask for an ID that legally, does not exist.I want to come shop again. And I do not. Why? Fear of the anxiety attack your store&staff could cause over an argument about providing a ID that my program trained/graduated service dog does not have, because they don’t exist. Programs don’t hand them out.And it violates federal ADA laws, and AlabamA state laws to ask for it.So what do I do?Will you allow me to help educate you?

I LOVE Lovelady! (No pun intended 😉) They seriously are one of the best thrift outlets around. The prices are excellent for the selections and the girls that work there are some of the sweetest. I live their mission and the progress shown by all their staff. Please go on by Lovelady Thrift Store and dually bless yourself with great finds and bless an even greater purpose ☺️

This isn’ta thrift store anymore. Instead of buying a junky piece for cheap and fixing it up yourself you can expect to pay over retail or what that item might have cost brand new but still have to fix it up. It’s nuts, some of items had price tags on them that I thought was part of a hidden camera show😂 but it’s real. Someone has lost their marbles

10 ft inflatable Santa Claus, 149.91. same one brand new at Lowe's 74.99. I thought the idea of a thrift store was cheaper prices for people who can't afford brand new? That's just one example beware make sure you Google the items you're purchasing!
