Store and parking lot are disgusting. Management should be ashamed. Cashier didn’t even have the courtesy to take her AirPods out when I was trying to speak with her. The manager just stood there without correcting the employee. 0/10, the store should be kicked out of the neighborhood.

The black girl that was working Christmas eve at 3p.m. was super hateful and ugly to me for absolutely no reason except that I'm Caucasian.Thats how ot felt to me anyway . I'll never go back to this dollar general again.

The attitudes at this location are ridiculous! They are always on the phone, they are repeatedly messing up the transactions. The associate can behind me saying my card declined when she didn’t put my cash payment in. She didn’t even apologize. Very RUDE!!! The associates have no respect for the customers there’s cursing and unprofessional behavior when the manager isn’t around. I didn’t even get greeted when I walk in the store and I’m a regular customer. This was very distasteful!!

I love the staff they are always friendly, welcoming and very helpful in anything I might need help finding. I absolutely recommend shopping at this location! Even if I had to drive some miles I would just because of the excellent customer service and the atmosphere!!!!

The store manager Quoya is amazing. She works very hard everyday to satisfy the customers. She’s currently the only person working at that store and she does a good job working two registers while meeting the needs of customers. She definitely deserves a pay raise!!!!!

Good selection of snacks and other items. Cashier was friendly, quick and efficient. There was a long line to checkout, but the cashier got through it fast. Will definitely be back. Good location. Great deals.

I usually don't review stores bc typically the experience will depend on the day, but I gotta say there has been a 100,000% improvement in this one over the last month or so. There was a time I would walk thru the door & be hit with the foulest odor it would make me wanna turn back around, plus ppl could barely pass each other to get to items with boxes everywhere. Now the floors are clean, the aisles are clear & organized, the smell is completely gone, and the employees are much friendlier. This is now my favorite quick stop on my way to work or home. Kudos to the new management! 👍🏽👏🏽 Please don't leave!! 😊

There's this new female cashier with nappy hair. She rude, her mouth is smart, and she is disrespectful to customers. Every time I go in that store she's getting into it with someone. Because of her mouth. Either she needs to be fired or someone is going to beat her a**.

You know? I don't know what's up with the employees attitudes at this location, but everytime I'm at this location it feels like the employees despise their job. They are openly talking bad about other employees/customers or how they hate what they're doing. News flash guys your customers can hear you, and it makes us feel like we shouldn't come back despite our dislike of Walmart.

It's always so unorganized there. Boxes are always in the middle of the isles and no one can ever get through. It's scary to walk anywhere in the store from fear that you'll get crushed by the boxes. The prices are great and the employees are very nice but I dont want to risk my life trying to save on toilet tissue with a coupon.

Every other week they have new people working. They NEVER have enough cashier's unless you are lucky enough to go in at a dead time. I have experienced rudeness out of atleast 3 of there employees.

I like it because its like a walmart compressed into this small store. They open early and close late. They have ,when you least expect it, what you came in for. The emplyees are down to earth, good people( at least they act like they like their job).Thanks for helping me find the boiled peanuts..lol..

There were only two cashiers with a store full of people. Based on the Covid-19 guidelines, the store should have only been at 50% compacity. The store was not in compliance. Individuals in line weren't 6 feet apart. I had to tell the gentleman behind me to back up. This Covid-19 pandemic is real. Very disappointed in the Irondale location.

Worst customer service I have experienced in Alabama. Employees complaining and being ugly to customers. At least 4 employees were working and none of them were professional or helpful. I don’t recall the last time I asked a store employee a direct question only to be ignored and blown off. On top of that the store was filthy. Terrible establishment that I will not return to.

Rudest, most aggressive employees ever!! They leave the register unattended to follow you around as if you're a thief. They were doing the same to another customer, who was so offended they left their buggy, offered to be patted down, and left. I was then checked out by the guy called out by the customer, and had to ask for my receipt, which he then thrust in my face.

I was in the Irondale area and Googled "pet supplies near me" hoping I wouldn't have to drive to Trussville. (Looking for flea power) DG's ad popped up stating that they have an extensive pet supply department. They dont. I know a lot of places have limited deliveries because of COVID19. But really all they had was pet food and some treats. I didn't shop for anything else or look around and I didn't interact with any employees. So this review is based ONLY on pet supply availability and the accuracy of the ad. This really isn't a viable option for pet supplies

Thank God I dont have to treck through Walmart. This store has everything I need without the hassle of getting home to find out dated food products. Easy in and out for senior citizens who cannot walk far and prices are great. I stay more in budget shopping here.

Irondale DG is my go-to store for sundries, milk, and great buys on a variety of items. Not only is it convenient and the prices competitive, but the employees are friendly, helpful, and efficient. They make shopping there a pleasure, not a chore to be dreaded.
