Great to actually have a shop in town!!! Even better that the shop is very helpful, and has good customer service. Land, air, and water... Whatever floats your boat; they have a good inventory. On top of that, there is an R/C car / truck track in the back of the lot. Also, the operating hours are good for most working people. Support your local shop. It's nice having them around.

Best store I've seen in Alabama the older man and lady that owns it is really nice the prices are great look on Traxxas the prices are the same or sometimes cheaper if you can thank about it they have it or will get it for you right away and they have a out door track that's big and free to use!!! I come in a few days ago and got a nitro rustler and to days later we went back and got my wife a slash the owner is really helpful and didn't seem to care about my wife looking at there parts book in the back to see if we could find the parts out self I've been to a lot of places and never been to a better place then this won I'm just now getting back into the hoppy and now they got me hooked again!!!

My husband has been involved in various hobbies over his life. It started with gas powered remote control cars. As we added children to our family, his hobby changed to RC Cars, as he’s now involved our son. It’s their favorite thing to do together. We’re from the Birmingham area. The hobby stores in our area absolutely do not compare to RC Hobbies (now RC Hobby Barn). Whether you’re interested in RC cars, planes, trains, or modeling they have what you are looking for. They’re also very generous and very willing to answer any questions you may have. It’s worth the drive just to visit them. If hobbies are something you’re into, don’t hesitate to visit them.

EDITED:I called and talked with the owner. Nice guy. He seemed disappointed that his crew had made for a bad experience. I could tell he really wanted to make it right and invited me to make sure I said hello when I stopped in next time and to make it a better visit. I appreciate his honesty and the effort to contact me to resolve it. Can’t say that about many people or businesses anymore.I’ve been around many hobby stores and always support the local guys as much as I can. I’ve been to this shop maybe a dozen times. Always for smaller things like paint, model kits or some random RC replacement parts. Nearly every time, I’ve been treated like the staff doesn’t have time for me or I’m bothering them when I ask questions or if they have an item I’m looking for. The few times I’ve ask for technical help on some RC products, the staff has no idea what I’m talking about and they never make reference that anyone else would know. I’m sure I’ll still buy things here as it’s close and easy to get supply’s when needed but I guess I’ll have to go else where for help and to buy larger/more expensive items. If you are needing tech help, use Facebook groups or online forums for that. This place doesn’t act like that want to help

Best place In Huntsville to get your rc hobby parts. Very knowledgeable staff that is friendly and can point you in the right direction on what your looking for. They also carry a good sort of replacement parts and upgrades. And it makes for a great place for the rookie hobbiest to get started. Check them out. You'll be happy you stopped by.

They went through the trouble of getting me fixed up with exchanging a controller I got originally. I was mad that a couple people wouldn't help when I first went back but now I understand they didn't know how the lease stuff worked. Rick the owner is a good man an will help anyway possible that he can. Great hobby shop an lots of rcs an parts in stock. If your in north Alabama an need help with The hobby stop by an they will get you taken care of. I'll be back for more stuff I'm sure. This is a local hobby shop. They carry pretty much anything you need from rc vehicles to supplies for model trains and model crafting. They always have good deals and they put kits on sale from time to time. The folks here are nice and extremely helpful, and are always happy to answer questions.

Family friendly atmosphere. Helpful knowledgeable staff. Fantastic dirt racetrack out back. Even though they are geared towards rc cars and trucks, they have a great selection of in stock airplanes boats and helicopters too. Prices can't be beat.

I got a traxxas rustler vxl yesterday. they were amazing for helping me get set up since this is my first rc. Will definitely be back agian for upgrades and possibly a conversion kit to make the rustler a slash

Man I this was a real life car shop it'd, be that baddest. I'm a car guy and really enjoy this place and the cars are so fast and cool. They have almost every part you could think of you could build a car piece by piece. Just another great way to live vicariously thru are children. Just make sure you set a money limit before you go in. Great staff tho the owner is there everything I go helping customers. Oh and on Saturdays league races on there in house dirt track.

Rc hobbies is a phenomenal rc store! Last time we went there we came to fix a car and they came immediately to help us and tried fixing it. They fixed it very quickly and were very knowledgeable on what the problem was and explained it very well. The problem was the battery pack and they were nice enough to hand one to us for free! I highly recommend this store.

Went there to replace a battery that would not take a charge on my Hyperion charger. After trying to find a replacement (did not have in stock) he took the battery and managed to give it a bump to where my Hyperion now detects it and I can at least keep flying until they get one in stock. Great service a d completely awesome store.

This store has everything from ready to fly and drive to the tools and parts needed to build from scratch. They have a large inventory so I have had to ask the staff where to find what I needed - they have always been helpful and guided me to the area I needed to be. Their advice has always been helpful and shows that they are knowledgeable and experienced in their trade. The service they provide is not available if you buy from an online store and is why I visit often.They also have a selection of science and rocket kits that brings back memories of my childhood as a young experimenter.This store is worth the visit if you have never been there before.

In this day and age, we order many things online just for the simplicity, speed and the convenience of shopping at your home. However, it is so nice to find a business that really appreciates their customers! The 1st time going to RC hobbies, I was greeted and felt welcome immediately by Erik. He was extremely helpful and explained things in a way that didn't feel intimidating...and made me believe in myself that i could do it!
