Cashier was sleeping behind the counter and then refused to clear the self checkout where another customer had rang up a bunch of stuff and then abandoned it. I come a few extra miles to this location JUST so I can use the self checkout. I’m not gonna go out of my way and then go to a regular cashier. Older folks don’t like self checkout, the younger generation likes it better. Find a middle ground and get it together dg…. You just lost a sale on the largest box of pull-ups and largest box of baby wipes. A pretty decent amount of money. I’ll go to Walmart where the self checkout works and the cashier comes and fixes it if it doesn’t.EDIT: just now closed 5 minutes early. only wanted to buy 2 things. Freakin pitiful..... Wish i could rate it less than one star.

I always receive good costumer service but the shelves are always bare. Plenty of holiday candy, Christmas candy gifts etc. But nothing else. Went to one DG on Bailey Cove and they never have what I need in stock. Stock up the medicine isle first, Holiday Candy should wait!!

The air conditioner is broken or not working well. The store was semi-well stocked. I went in for dog treats and bought about half of what I planned to buy. The staff is nice and friendly. Easy parking.

Had something I've been meaning to return, so drove to this DG. I hate holding on to stuff that I can't use/does not fit. Needed to get other things as well. I walked in and tell one person I need to return something. She points to the next register and another lady comes up. Doesn't say hello, nothing. I tell her I need to make a return. Hand her my receipt and she looks at it and says, "there's nothing for $5 on here (price of item)". She sets the receipt down and she walks away. Doesn't ask if I have another receipt, doesn't ask if I want store credit (which I would have just turned around and used right then), so I will take my return to another store that will actually process it. I've had better customer service at a thrift store, a junkyard, Walmart, anywhere! I understand no one loves working retail but dang, it was written all over their face. Would give zero stars if possible.

They have so much in here yet it is easy to find everything. Store is clean.If you see a special, make sure to get a picture or note the Isle as you will have to show them. Person I was with got mellow yellow that ended up being 30 cents more then posted price. Still cheaper than Walmart

... This is the 5th time I’ve tried to rush to get there before they close and every time it’s the same girl there with the store closed 30 minutes before it was suppose to be closed. She has sat there every time looking through the door and refused to open it. I needed one thing. Anytime I’ve seen her and I was in the store I’ve only ever seen her be so completely rude to everyone she interacted with customers and other employees. Corporate needs to handle this problem. I’ve never left a bad review before and I don’t complain about anything ever but this is beyond ridiculous. Will not go back

I would have rated it 5 stars but out of the number of managers that manage that store there is only one that gave us a problem with having our small dog(holding our dog who wasn't barking,etc) with us when we stopped in just to grab a drink and left. He wanted to see papers stating whether our dog was a service dog or not. We told him that our dog was not a service dog but was just 5 weeks old and needed to be close to us until it got a little bit older. We received ugly looks from him as we waited in line to purchase our drink until we left the building.

As a former customer and a former employee, I was shocked at their business practices. The store manager is unprofessional and a poor example of a leader. The assistant store manager is no better. The manager schedules herself for hours/days that she doesn't actually work. When she is there, she doesn't actually do anything but cashier and leaves the stocking for the employees to do. She lies to ALL customers who ask to use the restroom, saying the women's restroom is out of order. When in fact, she uses it as her own private restroom and KEEPS the key in her possession so that no one else can use it-NOT EVEN EMPLOYEES! The setup in the store is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! The restroom is in the very back, while the cash safe is in the front with the registers. There is no designated cashier. Everyone who works is expected to be away from the register stocking the store. Sharon Garth is by far one of the most INEFFECTIVE and UNPROFESSIONAL managers I've ever worked with. As a former manager in retail, I HAVE NEVER treated my employees in such a way! The fact that someone like her is being trusted to manage ANYTHING is a clear indication that customer service standards are at an ALL TIME LOW!

Their slacker employees are going to be the demise of that Dollar General. I went there the other day to pick up some head ache medicine before it closed at 8pm. I arrived at 7:40pm and the front door was locked. The girl yelled to me from her cash register in a very rude tone that they were closed already. This is the 3rd or 4th time that this has happened. I'm getting really sick of running up there only to find that the same slacker employee has locked the doors 20-30 minutes early. 5 or 10 minutes is one thing...if it's completely unavoidable. Something needs to be done about this immediately before the store loses so many customers that they have to close down because some girl doesn't want to miss the beginning of her reality show that starts at 8pm.

One of the clerks literally tried to fight me today, I can't believe someone holds so much anger they can't even stifle it for 8 hours before they blow up on patrons.Most definitely the worst experiences I've ever had as a paying customer.. y'all will be hearing from me tomorrow

Seems as though there was a large change of staff at once and everything started going downhill from there. During the holiday season several employees could be overheard saying that they weren't going to keep the store open for the extended hours for the season. That they'd lock the door at 9:00 pm and let people in if they knocked on the door hard enough. Once the seasonal hours ended and regular hours resumed they adopted the habit of locking the door at 8:30 when the store hours say they close at 9:00. If you don't knock hard enough they absolutely will not open the door. And the frustration from the employees is obvious. Even tonight we stopped in at 8:45, the door was locked, and as we knocked there was an employee down the aisle pointing at his watch saying they'd closed. It seems that Dollar General needs to take a hard look at this location bc we've always been a loyal customer but now, we avoid it like the plague.

I will never ever ever ever return to this Dollar General location again! If they closed every Dollar General on this planet except this one store, I would simply never go to Dollar General again. I cannot express how rude and hateful not only was the employee, but the manager too, who were both clearly prejudiced. Both of them are definitely ALL WRONG for these positions. Because neither have any customer relations skills and frankly I'm SHOCKED that Dollar General would ALLOW such obvious Prejudice Behavior! SMH😡

This location has a good bit of essentials and is best for short notice snacks or party supplies that are priced fairly. As the name suggests everything is generally a dollar. Some things are more than double the price just next door at Walmart.

There is a major difference in how DG stores are run, kept, etc which reflects on how well the personnel interact with the customers. This one on south end could show 5 points and north end how to do things right! Are you listening Goodlettsville?

Went in for brownies and decided to get Zebra Cakes too. Was five cents too much but the cashier covered it for us. Called us baby and I feel my heart melt. Please, marry me.

At 7:50, I was told the store was closing. I was ushered out and the door was locked. I can accomplish a lot in 10 minutes, which is what I had planned. I will take my business elsewhere next time.

Good service except when a co-worker takes keys yet isn't working register. Keys needed for locked items should ALWAYS remain at register!!!
