I went to the store to restock on a few items that I had used up. This was after the ice storm, so the store inventory was extremely low. When I entered the store, I was not acknowledged, greeted, or offered any assistance. There was another party of 3 in the store, at the time and one salesperson on the floor. She acknowledged the party of three as they left but still had not acknowledge me. When she was near me, I asked her about the items I had come into the store to buy but couldn't find. The salesperson explained that she needed to make the products I wanted and that the store had just reopened after the ice storm. So I asked when she thought the items would be available, and she said to just call the store later in the week to see if those items were available. I then asked if she thought the items would be made and available by the end of the week, and she nonchalantly replied, "I don't know, just call the store." She made no effort to be helpful, courteous, or to ensure that I was a repeat customer. I will no longer support this business. If you can make laundry detergent on-demand, you can also make whipped body butter.

I did not get a chance to shop. I walked into this establishment as a first time shopper and I wasn’t looked at, greeted, asked if I needed help, no nothing. I walked around to smell a few things with lots of curiosity about the products.There was one other customer in the store and three workers on the floor. One worker looked at me and walked right past me.. Each day I realize with these type of experiences, it shows that Customer Service is really a lost form of art.

Buff City Soap is a neat place to shop for products ranging from bath and body care items (soap, bath bombs, lotions, body sprays, etc) to laundry detergent and dryer balls. The products offered are plant based and do not contain a lot of chemicals or preservatives that commercial products have in them. I worried that since they are natural that the scent would fade, but i have not found that to be a problem with any of the products I have purchased.The products are available in a wide variety of scents with options suitable for the whole family. Some products can even be customized to create your own unique scent. I personally prefer the kids line because the smell makes me think of fun. Lol! I even had laundry detergent made in one of the kid scents because I like it so much.All of the employees are happy to assist you and answer questions or customize products for you. To keep the kids happy while mom (or dad) is shopping, they also have a station where the kids can create their own bath bomb! I was a little jealous that I couldn’t make my own. Ha!

This is one of my favorite places in the world! The staff is always super kind and the products are top quality. They list every single ingredient and I feel very safe about what they put in these products. I'll never buy a different laundry soap again! I've tried tons of the bar soaps, bath bombs, shave bars, and even accessories. I'm never disappointed! Even if it's a little bit above a big box store price, the quality that you are receiving is well worth it. It's nice to know it's in your products and feel safe using them.

Wow! The aroma is incredible..my kids weren't sure this store was going to be "cool" . But boy were they in for a surprise.. they have a small display for kids to pick their bar of soap or my favorite " Mystery Box" (it's like a sample box of 2 or 3 items). My kids can't wait to get home and open them. (Mom tip: ask a worker to make you a special box just in case they all get the same thing and you can trade with the kids).Don't forget to register to their rewards program. Points rack up quickly and they reward you with $$ off your next purchase..

Soaps smell amazing, the atmosphere is very clean and inviting! Staff did not speak to me at all until I stood at the checkout, and even then she was not friendly. I will definitely be back, hoping for better service next time!

What a fun place! I had so much fun taking advantage of their 6 for $30 special. I picked out bath bombs, shower fizzes, foaming hand soap and handmade soap bars. They even have kids and men's fragrance items. They carry laundry products(laundry soap and wool dryer balls). I would love to try their whipped soap next time. They also have a rewards program that was really easy to sign up for. I will definitely be back.

I have sensitive skin and am picky about ingredients in what I use. It's very moisturizing and not strongly scented. If you want a stronger scent, they have body butters and oils in the same scent that can be layered. They also have great laundry detergent in different scents as well.

The variety of fragrances is wonderful and the ability to be able to refill your existing container helps us all be a little kinder to the planet. Love the way the Buff City soaps clean and freshen my laundry.

Absolutely delightful store. Open and inviting. The different smells are soooo nice. I bought a couple bars of soap and was given a couple of free samples. That prompted me to go back and get the laundry detergent in the scent narcissist. I’ve washed everything with this and my clothes feel soft and smell amazing.AND just 2 tablespoons!! There are other scents and dryer balls too.Everyone is very nice and helpful - the first question is “have you shopped with us before” if you have t they do a quick run down of what’s available and where.They also offer classes and parties!

Great concept! I am a skincare professional and consumer using plant derived products for 20yrs. This is much needed in Huntsville.The price point is average for being handcrafted.On the contrary, the aromas of the soaps are so overwhelming I didn't enjoy touring the store it was hard to breathe.I asked if there was a better to time to come without it being so strong. The clerk said no.I highly recommend to the owners to consider better ventilation. My nose and chest was burning. Shoppers, bring a mask if you are sensitive to smells.Overall, very spacious and bright and estheticly pleasing.

I just went there and was greeted right away. I talked to this nice lady and described my skin issue. She gave me a sample to try for my skin. I ended up buying a few items. Definitely would to come back.

After a chance encounter with the local Buff City Soap District Manager at the nearby Publix, I thought I’d drop in.Concerned about all the chemicals and other unhealthy “stuff” in soaps, shampoos, and laundry detergents, I’ve been looking for healthier and more environmentally friendly products.Sure, that’s all available online, but it’s got to be shipped, and frankly, I prefer to support local jobs. Another consideration is that I recently had a whole house water filter/softener installed and as you know not all soaps agree with soft water. For those reasons, I’m going to try out some of the Buff City Soap products and later I’ll let ya know what I think.But for now I can say they have some terrific employees in their Huntsville, AL store. (I specifically interacted with Lisa and Savannah) They took their time explaining the products, answering my questions, and generally making this old guy feel welcome and not out of place in a soap store!I think this is a terrific new addition to our Huntsville community, so check ‘em out—they’re worth a visit.Buff City Soap started in 2013 at a Memphis, TN location but has since decided to move to Dallas, TX. They opened this Huntsville location on 26 Aug 2021.
