I was a little surprised that they sold me a six hundred dollar griddle, at full price, only to realize they gave me the floor display because it was the last one in the store. It was scratched and not well put together, but they charged me full price for it? I had to request a discount and then they seemed irritated that they were having to do that for me. But at least I got my griddle, so it wasn't a terrible deal.

Walked in, no heavy sales attack at all. I was able to look for what I needed, found it easily, purchased, and left! The only knock was the cashier. She was grumpy and rude! She didn't look at us at all, and when we said merry Christmas... she just turned and walked off. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars!

This particular store is great! They have amazing prices and frequently have great sales. I have really come to love the store brand, Magellan. The brand is high quality, stylish, and functional, especially for men's wear. The associates were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the wide range range of items. I highly recommend this store and this location!!

I like this chain in general. Good affordable sporting goods.Wasn't a fan of how security treated me for having a backpack last time (I was on my way home with groceries, and the door guy didn't say anything about it) but I'm sure they deal with some characters around there.I still like the place 😜

Great visit I was pleased to find an abundant amount of clearance. There was no soccer referee shirts reasonably priced. However when I asked for help, I was informed there may be more options online. I was happy to be directed to purchase online but found a more reasonable price on amazon.

Great customer service. The product we went for was in stock. Unfortunately, it does not connect to our devices. I'm sure the refund service will be as great as the checkout went today.The store was well stocked, employees were on the floor to help you, and checkout was quick and easy 😀Our cashier suggested we get an academy sports card to save even more on our purchase. That was awesome!

I like Academy Sports and Outdoors Store but I don't like the fact that I couldn't find an anyone anywhere that could help me find what I was looking for. I came home and had to order the Carhartt shirts I needed.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, Academy fell short of keeping certain items in stock. Had to go to Cabelas to get the product, which they had a good stock of!. Maybe my next visit will be better.

Academy is my preferred sports and outdoors store. They usually have better prices than Dick’s Sporting Goods and I’ve had good luck with all the products I’ve purchased from Academy such as folding chairs and soccer ball.

I enjoy going here for almost everything we need, and their BCG brand clothes are awesome. But their sneaker collection for various sporting needs has completely depleted. Unless it's for a specific sport, it's hard to find good general workout shoes. A few here and there, but mostly fashion or strictly running shoes. Academy used to be THE place to go for athletic shoes. All the shoes that were there were mixed around and made it impossible to find anything you needed in the correct spot. Hoping they restock soon.2024 edit:They were clutch as baseball season was starting! Tried to get baseball pants elsewhere and this was the only place that kept a great stock of my oldest son's sizes!

Terrible customer service! My husband and I went lastnight (9-1-2023) to get my fishing and his management license. The girl doing customer service was very rude! We will not shop with this academy again! You work in customer service need to get a better attitude and learn to speak to people!

Called the store looking for a specific item while driving to the store. The customer rep that answered actually put me in hold to see if the item was in stock. After a few minutes I decided to go in and ran into her. She was so nice I approached her and ask if she was the rep on the phone searching for the item I called for we both laughed. She then directed me to what I was looking for. Once I made it to the register another employee assisted me with a fast checkout even though she was doing something else. I wished I had gotten their names but they both were really helpful concerning I was heading to my birthday dinner. Thanks for search great service

The man who was working the gun counter yesterday afternoon was extremely rude to me and treated me like I was an idiot when I was honest about my lack of knowledge. I recommend having him take a class on customer service skills, he is seriously lacking.
