Was in there today with my mother in law. There was strong odor of rodent urine especially in the canned soup aisle.There were also numerous rodent droppings on the shelves as well as cans with the labels partially chewed.

Large selections of everything,they also have a deli. They gave me a menu to take with me🤣 they were friendly and the store was clean. I love the greeting card section because they're very organized wrapped in plastic so now one can switch them around and get them out of order ect most of them cost only $1 dollar. Maybe even all cards??? It's a great store to shop in. I did go mid day so I'm sure it's really busy at considering it's located in hueytown.

This is a small grocery store that is very convenient to me right in the center of Hueytown. It's close to my bank and the public library. It is a great place to run into on the way home. Great employees and good service. They have good sales on meat too.

My absolute favorite grocery store. They have great prices and sales and the BEST meat. But even better is the personal experience. Every employee there knows my entire family and always greets us with love. It is, and will always be the only grocery store I shop at

I was totally surprised at the level of help provided when looking for some items.My trip was at most 15 mins, and I was on my way.The prices are definitely fair, and it was busy, just not crowded like the bigger stores.It's the go to place for me locally from now on.

This is the First time in e while since I have been to this Food Giant in Hueytown and was impressed with all that it had to offer. The selections were varied and the staff as friendly as can be. I was especially impressed with the warm greeting and farewell from Barry the store manager. I hope all of my faithful Google readers will take a stroll to the Hueytown Food Giant soon

The 20lb bag of chicken wings for $12... I thought I died and went to heaven or the price tag was wrong... I am also VERY VERY picky about how my items get bagged and this young lady exceeded my expectations so much that I had to point it out and thank her for it!

This is a good place to shop for your groceries very old school grocery store but has a great employees deli food is very good

Won't let you take riding cart outside like other grocery stores. Cashier Linda makes you feel bad cause you buy the last food item on shelf and harps on it through the whole checkout and have seen employees eating at the deli area instead of the break room. Go to Publix, more sanitary and nicer employees.

I've been going there for nearly 40 years as long as I can remember anyway I know most of the employees by first name they know me by my first name. Barry Dabbs runs the store and we'll go out of his way to help you. The only two negative things I can say about food Giant is the prices are higher than Walmart on groceries and the selection is very very minimal compared to Walmart. The meat is usually very very fresh and if you happen to get anything bad just tell Barry and he'll make it good. He has bosses but usually what he says goes. Nice grocery store for a small community.

Friendly atmosphere and caring employees. Close knit mom/pop grocer and everyone will speak and ask if you found everything or if you need assistance, they'll drop what they're doing and place attention to your needs. Best meat department and great prices. Highly recommend to anyone.

Food Giant is a pretty good place to shop because of some of the things they have. But they're very expensive and they have started prepackaging their meat so I won't be shopping there anymore because I like to quality of them meets because there was packaging them myself but now it's prepackaged and I do not like prepackaged meat.

The store had an odor this day. On a good note, the two Boston butts I purchased were fresh and delicious. The store is old. The staff was friendly, and the prices were reasonable.

The customer service and employees are impeccable. You will not find a better grocery store. They also have a butcher onsite. The meat is fresh. They will help you find whatever you need and will stock almost any item you request. The employees are what keep me coming back.

I went in late after work, just before closing. All the employees were still courteous and friendly.I found everything I was looking for and the store was clean and we'll stocked.I go here often and have confidence I will get good fresh products from Food Giant in Hueytown, AL
