We have used budget heating and cooling for many years. They have always given great service.However, about a month ago we used them and could not believe how expensive their service had become. When I called to check prices, I was told they charge the $75 service fee, plus $100 per hour for the service!! No one needs that kind of money for labor.As of now, I am no longer recommending them due to high prices.

When a prolonged period of freezing weather was forecast for North Alabama, I worried we might have power outages. I had not used my gas logs in years and was concerned about turning them on. Budget Heating is on a list of service providers given to me by Marshall County Gas. I called. They scheduled. The technician came out and cleaned and checked my logs. Pleasant, professional service at a reasonable price. I will definitely call Budget again for heating and cooling needs.

Budget Heating has excellent service. They were very nice on the phone and promptly sent someone over. I needed a new pump and was told that it would have to be ordered. James Todd checked and found that there was an extra pump around and returned the same afternoon and fixed the problem and even had some very good advice on another question that I had. Very satisfied and can fully recommend them for your a/c troubles.

They hooked me up with 4lbs of freon and a service call for only $530. I also got a quote for a new 2.5 ton Trane air conditioner and all new ductwork for just under $18,000! AC went out during the hottest days of this year. Called the next morning to get our unit scheduled for service. We were told that they had a long list of customers ahead of us but would do their best to service us the same day but cautioned it could be the next morning. We understood and were okay with that. The tech called about 5:30 pm to see if it was too late to come. We were thankful he was able to come and told him it was definitely okay. He arrived when he said he would, was professional and courteous. A short time later he had our unit up and going. He stayed to make sure everything was working a correctly and answered all our questions patiently. I felt bad that he worked as late as he did but was extremely thankful not to sleep in a 87 degree house for another night. I have no hesitation to recommend this company and would give them more than 5 stars if I could.Service: A/C system repair

I'm absolutely impressed with this company. My unit went out in mid winter and had to be replaced. I called several places, these were the only guys who came immediately. I asked each company a million questions to see how honest they were and how knowledgeable they were. This was the only company didn't mind answering my questions, was ABLE to answer them, and didn't try to up-sell me into buying a more expensive unit than I needed.They installed it in a single day and cleaned up afterwards leaving no trace of an installation. And even months afterward they continued to answer followup questions. They are honest, prompt and very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend Nathanial, he was incredibly easy to work with.

Recently, in the high heat of summer, my 92 year old mother’s a/c was not working. Budget Heating and Air was very quick to get out to us and access the problem, managed to get the a/c back to cooling and found the leak in the system and fixed the problem. They also checked with the manufacturer of the system and found that the part was still under warranty, which was a huge help. The service man who came had also done service for me in the past at my home when lightening struck a tree close to our unit. Both times, I received excellent service, reasonable pricing and the problem resolved in a very timely manner, considering the circumstances involved. The technician they sent out was extremely friendly and he took 5 mins to find out our issue with our unit. He recommended a new unit be installed i asked for a price about 10 minutes he came back in with a quote. I called around to see about prices it just didn't sound right. Every other business I called prices where almost half of what their's was. I was told that is way too expensive for the size unit I need by almost every other company I called. So if you don't mind spending more money go with them bc they are very friendly and I was told they would do anything to help keep us cool in the mean time. But I'd definitely call and see about prices from a few other companies.
